"For this price point, this Hotel is amazing. Don’t go in there and expect luxury. What you get is a good night sleep and that’s it. Room was somewhat cold and AC remote didn’t work, but I didn’t bother asking for batteries. Shower pressure is on the weaker side. You get a big bed, but a tiny table. Shower Gel and Shampoo were present, but no soap, so I did do with Shower Gel. There were some traces of mold, but not really something that chased me out of the door. There were no strong odors and you get 2 free bottles of water.
Wifi had a little of problems as the instructions and the actual PW are not up-to-date. So ask for the Wifi PW at the front desk.
It’s in walking distance to the 2 Rivers and 4 Lakes Scenic Area as well as the Elephant Trunk Hill Scenic Area. And with the electric bikes nearly everywhere, you can reach Reed Flute Cave in 20 minutes.
As I didn’t prepare enough, I didn’t manage to visit the the rice terraces, but they are the least impressive this time of year. So the regret is not to overwhelming."

"Definitely good location if one wants to stay near the airport to catch early flight. The hotel provides free airport transfer too. The breakfast is very good. Nice variety. As it is near the airport, so there is not much eateries around. There's an airport canteen with a food mart just opposite the hotel. Other than this one, one has to walk at least a kilometre away to get food. However, we can still get food delivery which is convenient."

"Great location, just around the corner of the Guilin North railway station. I stayed here to grab the airport bus the next morning. It was easy to find the hotel with plenty of dining options nearby. The staff were very helpful in trying to resolve technical issues with the projector in my room. I appreciate the support they provided. After staying in other hotels that offered disposable bath towels, it was nice to get a real towel in the bathroom. Overall this was a good stay here and got a great night sleep before flying out. Thank you!"

Our modest house is small, but it holds everything you have ever imagined about Guilin.

"Automatiska lampor och gardiner i alla rum! Nära till sevärdheter, vilket är trevligt. En skön promenad på drygt 1 mil där man både får motion och njuta av vackra vyer. Vi gick längs Sun and Moon Twin Pagodas, kom först till Entrance 3 vid Elephant Trunk Hill, så vi kunde se det vi ville se mest. Sedan kan man gå ut genom Entrance 2, eller som jag gjorde, ta Entrance 1 och sedan gå längs utsidan för att få en överblick över Elephant Trunk Hill inifrån, för att sedan fortsätta halvvägs till Zhengyang Pedestrian Street och därifrån fortsätta till Wangfujing och East & West Alley."

It is not only a livable home for local residents, but also a window for tourists to experience the authentic life of Guilin. Our guest house is designed in the style of straw and wood. The tatami bed is made of elm wood. The grain of the elm wood is hard and soft, with a touch of freehand brushwork. It is also a homestay cafe compound space. “Fangji travel coffee Shop” on the first floor, with Guilin landscape nourishing coffee beans with a bowl of traditional guilin rice noodles, this is a dedicated to Guilin good morning ceremony. Super popular“Lao Dong Jiang”“Ren li” rice noodle shop just walk for 3-10 minutes.
"B&B-rummen är mycket bekväma och får dig att känna dig som hemma. Att njuta av naturen på den lilla gården är uppfriskande. Det bästa är att butiken även erbjuder gratis kaffe, vilket är så genomtänkt.
Rummet är mycket Zen-liknande, och sängkläderna är mjuka och bekväma, vilket ger dig en god natts sömn. Att njuta av utsikten från gården känns lugnt och avkopplande. Jag fick också två kuponger till kaféet på nedervåningen. Det skulle vara underbart att vakna tidigt och ta en kopp kaffe för att svalka mig innan jag går ut för lite skoj. Rekommenderar starkt detta B&B!
Rummen i B&B är mycket bekväma, och inredningen får folk att vilja dricka en kanna te med vänner i den här atmosfären. Att njuta av utsikten över floden på gården gör att människor känner sig fridfulla och avslappnade. Det finns en kafé på nedervåningen. Inredningen är mycket designmedveten. Det ger också gratis kaffe till gästerna som bor på hotellet."

"Affordable, newly renovated and super clean bed and toilet, new air cond. I definitely will come here to stay again. Miss Tang has been really helpful.. If you don't like your room for whatever reason, just ask to change to another room before you settle down in the room. They will happily let you choose the room until you are satisfied.
Unfortunately, most hotels in China allow smoking in some rooms. This is just the way it is. But you can change to a room that has less or no smoke smell.
Super close to the Guilin North station. You can just walk to it. You can't get any closer to the train station. Ignore all the touts or taxi drivers."

Chuxin Homestay felt more like staying with thoughtful hosts than at a typical Yangshuo lodging. The room was quiet, spacious, and well kept, and the bed was comfortable enough to rest well after long days out. Getting around was easy with scooter rentals close by and simple food options nearby. What really made the stay smooth was the owner’s guidance — she helped map out our days realistically, steered us toward fairly priced experiences, and discouraged activities that weren’t worth the money. We arrived late on our first night and were still warmly welcomed, which immediately set the tone for the stay. Communication was always clear and timely, and the place felt safe and well managed. A small but memorable detail was Fa Cai, the calm and friendly house dog. If you prefer an honest stay without tourist traps, this homestay is a solid choice.

This is a wonderful family run guesthouse, where you can enjoy peace away from the hustle of Xingping Old Town. Differently from other types of accommodation we have seen in Dahe Bei village, this guesthouse is a hidden gem with charme and character. The food was excellent and abundant, freshly cooked by the owner herself. The owner picked us up from the Dahe Bei ferry dock, organised an electric moped rental in Dahe Bei (we didn't see many on that side of the river) and gave us plenty of tips and suggestions for where to go and what to do around there, including a sunrise hike to a nearby mountain that you can reach directly from the guesthouse - if you're into hiking (it's a 1h walk uphill through pomelo and orange orchards, followed by a series of staircases), it's a great spot, as we found only a few photographers when we got up there. The ginger cat and the house dog are cute and extremely friendly, adding to the overall wonderful atmosphere. Our room was spacious and clean, with plenty of hot water for showers after a day of hiking or driving around to see the surroundings. If we were to travel again in this area, we would definitely go back. Highly recommended!

This guest house left me with mixed feelings. Let's start with the good things. The location is super convenient: right in the old town and yet in a relatively quiet area. It's close to the river so you can take a refreshing night stroll, and close to a delicious bakery/café you'll never forget. The atmosphere of the guest house is rustic and cozy, with a laundry room that, despite its very limited space, serves the purpose. There are also cats and a dog you can freely play with. The bed was comfortable for us (a bit on the harder side). The owners speak English so you can easily communicate with them. They are very kind and helpful.
However, a few things about this stay got me extremely disappointed, particularly taking into consideration the positive reviews I had read (which honestly I don't understand where they came from). The room was far from clean. There was a very visible layer of dust. The cushion seats had huge stains and looked dirty overall. The shower room did not get cleaned very regularly, as you can see from the picture. In general everything in the property looked outdated and cheap (wobbly sink taps, doors with huge gaps, that give way to all sorts of bugs and giant spiders..). The fact that the toilet is next to the shower room leaves no room for privacy and makes the toilet floor wet most of the time (this could be solved with a proper shower door instead of a curtain). In conclusion, I was more than happy to leave the property because it did not meet my standards for comfort and hygiene. However, if you don't particularly care about a certain degree of dirt and dust here and there, and are cool with bugs, then you should definitely go for it as you might really like the retro atmosphere of the place.

I had an absolutely wonderful stay here. I went out of season, so I was the one of the only guests for two days, this made if even more special. if you travel during rainy season make sure to have rainboots and rain proof coats etc. The nights and mornings can get very cold so prepare warm clothes. The family helped me from booking a local shuttle bus from Yangshuo to arrive and departing and also picked me up on my day of arrival from the park entrance. The Homestay is quite far up the hills, not very easy to find you need to carpool or ask owners to help with scooter ride, but the views and people make it all the worthwhile. It is close to many hiking trails and view points. The family welcomed me with so much love the room was exactly as it said. Their food and pricing is also very affordable. They family is of the local ethnicity and they gave me an up-close view in their lives and their traditional ways. I tasted their rice wine, chilli paste , traditional tea and bamboo rice and many other delicious foods. The owners and family are very helpful and if you have any questions, or want to know more of need to get to a certain part of the area they are happy to help. This family and their black dog filled my heart with so much love and gratitude. Note for for foreign travelers: They don't speak English, but do not let this scare you if you are a foreigner, translator apps are helpful if you can't understand the language.
Overall, I highly recommend if you are looking for a peaceful, tranquil and family-like feeling enjoy the outdoors and nature. I will definitely be going back!

It was the best experience so far in China 🇨🇳. The owner of the hostel was organising excursions and both of them were really cool and adventurous. The first one was climbing and hiking to get to the most beautiful view of Guilin that you could possibly think of. The second one was the exploration of a cave, it was so crazy, we were hiking in places that I can define hidden gems. Both of the evenings after the activities we went to very good restaurants. I had the opportunity to go where actual locals dine at. I can suggest to anyone else to book this hostel, it's not a place to crash the night, but it is a place where you can build memories. Thank you very much!

I arrived in Guilin from Kunming late after 12 am and there is no tourist information counter staff at the airport to tell me where to wait for the hotel's airport transfer driver. Fortunately an airline check-in counter officer helped me call the hotel to find out where to wait for the driver. Please note wait for the driver next to the police kiosk after leaving Gate 6 of the domestic arrival terminal and crossing the lane. It took me 15 minutes to identify the driver because the driver did not show the placard showing the hotel name Shanshuiyunshang Hotel. The driver was impatiently waiting for a foreign tourist. So I identified myself as a Singaporean looking for the transfer driver of the hotel. He replied that I can follow him, who did not declare the hotel's name. Thank God he brought a group of tourists and me to Shanshuiyunshang Hotel to check-in. I also thank God that the driver escorts me to the Airport Flower Field, which is 569 metres away from the hotel, for plane-spotting, and I walk back to the hotel within 10 minutes to check-out of the hotel for my outgoing trip from Guilin after completing my plane-spotting mission. Other than the hotel airport transfer driver, there is the odour of smoke in the room but I have to bear with it until I leave and I cannot access the hotel wifi by scanning the QR code. The hotel restaurant is very small but dragonfruit is served and the breakfast amount is sufficient to fill my hunger. Shanshuiyunshang Hotel is one of several hotels along the road of Liangjiang Town that has accommodation for tourists but this hotel is the only one in Liangjiang Town to be listed on Trip.com. I will stay here again for the purpose of plane-spotting in Liangjiang Town, the famous airport town of Guangxi.

The hotel is perfectly located, clean, and has a rooftop, which is also a restaurant, that has an amazing view of the river and the mountains around it.
The room comes fully equipped, with water bottles, tooth brush, kettle, hairdryer, etc.
The reception lady, and maybe owner (I don't know, but she definitely could be), speaks perfect English and was very kind and helpful with practical and sightseeing information. The vibe is laidback and family like.
I would definitely recommend.

I had a great time at this hostel. The people were so friendly and they were always available on WeChat to help me out (thank you for helping me buy the bus tickets at such a late notice 🤭). Nearby were also many great restaurants（I recommend the nearby 阿秀米粉店 😋). I also greatly appreciated the curtains attached to the beds for some privacy. It's conveniently located next to the train station, but you will need to take a bus or a train to see some beautiful nature, as it is located in the middle of the city of Guilin.
