"Had a lovely stay that was great value for money as Macau can be very expensive. Location is very close to near by attractions but was very difficult to find. Don’t use google maps as it wasn’t accurate. Use Amap. Sometimes the place is called Villa Ka Meng and was down a side street. The women at the desk were very helpful and friendly. Room looked like the pictures and everything we needed was present. Room was bigger than I expected. Shower pressure was great. The biggest con of the place is the bed. Felt like I was sleeping on the ground, it was that hard. If you’re looking for somewhere cheap whilst just trying to explore the place. This would be great."

"Had a great experience staying at City Inn Macau! The room was clean, big and I did not expect the complete amenities from toiletries, slippers, free water, coffee and tea. The room has a smart TV and an automated curtain which is really a plus. I had a good sleep no hearing noises from the adjacent rooms. The shower area is separated so the water will not overflow with the toilet area, this is something I valued. Water pressure is good with consistent hot water. I got an early check in at 11am and I left my luggage after check out without additional charge too! The 2 receptionists I encounter are both nice and welcoming. I have already recommend this to my friends and I am sure I will come back."

"This hotel offers a great value for money.
The rooms are simply designed and clean, centrally located , close to the Mont Fort and the ruins of Saint Paul. There are also shops and restaurants nearby. The staff is friendly and welcoming, 🔆
but the hotel is located on an uphill road, which can make it a bit difficult to get to the closest bus station, especially with heavy luggage."

"I had a wonderful stay at Family Inn! The entire place was very clean, and the room was kept in excellent condition throughout my visit. The location is perfect—easy to get around, with convenient access to nearby attractions, shops, and restaurants.
The service was especially impressive. The staff were friendly, polite, and always ready to help with anything we needed. Check-in and check-out were smooth and hassle-free, which made the whole experience even better.
Amenities were simple but well-maintained, and everything in the room worked perfectly. I stayed with friends, and we all felt comfortable and welcomed."
"The location is good. Near the tourist streets and spots yet in a quiet lane. Walk straight out to the main road and you get lots of buses to different places. Only downside was not soundproof. The shower and toilet flushes were so loud! It’s non-smoking but my nose is sensitive and could smell a little. Overall I’m happy with the place. If you like firm bed then this is good for you."

"This hotel IS ACTUALLY VERY GOOD! Spotless with very strategic locations. But if you’re non smokers and allergic to cigarettes smoke, DON’T EVER THINK ABOUT staying here. It’s a small hotel and the rooms are quite small with narrow hallways. That’s not an issue but most guests are SMOKING IN THEIR ROOM and the smell is SOO STRONG. I never had a sleep for two nights straight. That’s really UNFAIR. I paid just like any other guests but I couldn’t enjoy my rights for a peaceful comfortable sleep. Not even an hour!
Mind you, this is a non-smoking hotel. Signs are everywhere with fines of MOP 1500 for violations. But people are still smoking cuz the policy isn’t really enforced. It’s just formality.
I really wanted to check out after one night but unfortunately the booking couldn’t be modified or refunded. So, I had no choice but to suffocate from the smell of cigarettes.
However, I have to appreciate the staff hospitality especially the guy whom I reported the issue. He tried to find me a better room but unfortunately none was available. Well at least he tried and he apologized for what happened. This is really commendable.
But as a hotel, it could do better by strictly enforcing the policy of non smoking. It shouldn’t be hard to identify the guests who smoke."

"The hotel has a great location, making it very convenient to get around. The staff were friendly and welcoming, always ready to help. The room was comfortable and well-kept, which made the stay very relaxing. Overall, a wonderful experience — highly recommended!"
"Situated nearby tourist attractions, the hotel was a suitable base for short walk to the Senado Square and vicinity. Hotel rooms are typical smaller size here but was good enough for single occupancy. Would be great if the toilet has a bidet or smart toilet installed. Nonetheless still a good hotel that i would recommend for short stay in Macau."

GGästanvändareA cosy room with a beautiful view of the greenery nearby! Room was clean with sufficient amenities provided. Consistent with other reviews, toilet & shower area were a tad small but still manageable. Multiple bus stops and a supermarket within 5 min walk from the hotel, else it's about 30 min walk from the Central Area. Lovely stay and value for money, would recommend!
GGästanvändareIt was a comfortable stay for 3days. Location was near tourist attractions and was not hard to find. There were many bus stops so commuting was very easy too. The receptionists were kind and spoke english well. The room has complete amenities and storage. Overall, it was worth the booking. Definitely recommend it!
BBangun CardoWe had a wonderful stay at Grande Hotel Macao. Everything was excellent from start to finish. The location is very convenient, making it easy to explore the city. The room was clean, comfortable, and well maintained.
The staff were friendly, professional, and always ready to help. The check-in and check-out process was smooth and efficient. Overlall, the service, facilities, and overall were truly satisfying. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Macau. We would definitely stay here again.
NNayNetithonThe room looks exactly like the photo and the hotel facilities are very accommodating. The best thing about this hotel is how friendly and professional the staff are. I have been to many hotels in Macau, and this hotel’s service genuinely impressed me.
YyramegevLocation is great if you’re planning to visit popular tourist spots. Cleanliness was well maintained too — the toilet was spotless.
However, the check-in experience was EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTING.
========== (TL;DR) Imagine you had to experience this after a 4 hours flight ==========
The young female receptionist I encountered on arrival handled things very poorly. She kept insisting she couldn’t find my booking, smiling the entire time as if it were a joke. Instead of checking properly herself, she kept handing me random printed bookings, one after another, asking me if any of them were mine. It honestly felt like I was doing her job.
If the names were even slightly similar to mine, I would understand. But she passed me almost every booking she had in her hands, including ones with clearly Japanese or ********* names that were nowhere close to mine. I even asked her, “So does that mean I’m supposed to sleep on the streets tonight?” Yet she still giggled, with zero sense of apology or urgency. It made me wonder if she had ever been trained in basic customer service or professional ethics.
Eventually, she finally handed me the correct booking with my name. But even then, after I confirmed it was mine, she said, “I gave you this earlier and you said it wasn’t yours.”
Like… excuse me? You’ve been passing me completely unrelated bookings the whole time?!
I initially wanted to rate the service 1 star, but I added one more because the hotel cleaner left a good impression, the cleaner auntie was polite and attentive.

Facilities:
The TV in my room was broken, so I’m guessing it was just for decoration. Ventilation also seemed poorly designed. Despite booking a non-smoking room, I was woken up early in the morning by cigarette smoke seeping in from outside my door. Not recommended for light sleepers either, as the soundproofing is weak. I could clearly hear people talking outside, though I’m not sure if they were in the corridor or inside another room.
ZZzapakaoIts located close to very large traditional market in Macau. The rooms are meticulously clean and well maintained. The ladies or the owner at the lobby are exceptionally kind for Macau standards
MMs. VSThe front desk named Jose was to be our “kababayan” was so kind, he lets us in earlier than their check-in time happened to be the room was ready but their normal check-in time would be @3pm. Thank you so much “Jose” for your kindness. I would highly recommended this place when it comes to their cleanliness and very accommodating employees. It is a 1 double bed room. The room was big, cleaned and very comfortable. The bathroom is so clean and pretty big. We will definitely come back here. Keep up the good work guys especially to our “kababayan”. Thank you!!!
GGästanvändareWe stayed for two nights. We did know that they only provide disposal towels so we brought our own. What we did not expect was disposable bed sheets (pic). It was very uncomfortable feeling on the skin, made me sweat like crazy probably because of the plastic like fabric. It also ripped during the first night, I expected it to get exchanged when they bring new water (it’s very common to get two water bottles per night) but it didn’t. So we were left with the ripped disposable sheets and the actual blanket came through. That made me think how often that must have happened before: the people start to sweat (macau is warm and kinda humid) into the actual blanket which is probably never cleaned because of the disposable sheets. Next guests the same thing happens, so basically everyone is sleeping under the same blanket. Doesn’t seem very hygienic to me.
Also the bed was very hard (even for Asian standards). My partner and I are both under 25 and had back pain the next morning.
The whole hotel and also the room was very humid, smelled like cigarettes/cigar and you can’t open any windows, not even partially.
Otherwise it does look like the pictures and the rest of the room/bath was clean except for the smell and probably the bed. Also the location is very convenient.
If I wanted to visit macau again I would probably get a hotel in Zhuhai (mainland china) which is less expensive and locals told us there is a 24h border control and the whole process only takes about 10min.
CChocoBananaRamaWe found this hotel to be very convenient and all basic amenities are complete. It was also very clean and the room did not have any smoke smell. Initially we were a bit wary as we arrived late at 11pm, and there were a few loud guys in the lobby that looked a bit drunk, but that was just a one-time occurrence and the next day was fine. Deposit of 100HKD required upon check-in. The hotel even gave us a small souvenir, how lovely! Staff was very professional & quick to issue our room key. Water heater doesn't feel hot enough at night and may need to wait for some time before the water gets warmer but no issues for us. There is no fridge in the room. Elevator is small but fits most mid size luggage nicely. Saw some reviews commenting the beds were hard but we found the bed to be quite comfortable.
Location was excellent and very near to restaurants, places of interest, minimart, bus stops. We took bus 3,3X from Gongbei customs side and stopped near the hotel. Going to Macau Airport was also super convenient- just at the street across the hotel at Kam Pek Community Center, many busses available to take us to Barra LRT and then to Airport. It was also easy to walk to other hotels which provided free shuttle to Cotai areas.
We had such a wonderful time in Macau and at a hotel that is very value for money! ❤️
