It is an unbelievably beautiful house kept in old harmonious style. The room that was provided for us is spacious, and it has many authentic old items to make dozens of photos. But what really impressed us was a table in the living room with water and real living fish in it! The bed is very comfortable. The linen and towels are impeccably clean and soft. The toilet contains a shower - everything is very clean and modern. Th owner is a very friendly and ready to help person, though communication is possible only via electronic translator. Проживание в этом красивом доме декорированном в старином стиле, даёт возможность ощутить Суджоу совершенно в ином ракурсе. Предоставляемая комната - просторная с большой кроватью и множеством вычурных старинных предметов, ширмочек, музыкальных инструментов, с которыми можно сделать десятки фотографий. А стол в гостиной вообще нас поразил - в нем выдолблен аквариум и плавают живые рыбки. Дом находится недалеко от главных парков и канала. В душевой и туалете вся сантехника современная и безупречно чистая. Рядом на улице много едален, в том числе и малатан, который мы безуспешно искали в других городах. Хозяин - очень симпатичный человек, добрый и заботливый. Жаль, что общаться можно только через переводчик. Если кто-то заинтересован в аренде национальной китайской одежды разных эпох, это можно сделать в лавочках вдоль канала. Стоимость от 85 юаней и выше. Однозначно рекомендуем этот дом доя проживания! И благодарим хозяина, который разрешил нам оставить вещи после указанного часа.

Located walking distance to the Suzhou museum and Humble Admin Garden as well as the metro station with many food options and convenience stores just beside the hotel. Room is comfortable and big with ample walking space even with 2 big luggages open. Front desk is also helpful with carrying our luggages up the stairs (a few steps) to the elevator. There's also free self service laundry n dryer and hot tea/coffee in the pantry.

What an unique experience! Nothing could be more authentic than that! Our room is on the first floor right by the water. We saw many women rowing the gondola boats and serenading beautiful songs to their passengers. We came in a low season, so there wasn’t that much crowd. We could stroll around leisurely to take in all the beautiful sights that this place offers to us. The home stay is operated by a couples. They are so friendly, kind, and always eager to help out, especially the wife (Ms. Chan). The day when we left, she helped us getting a didi ride which is more cheaper than the one we hailed ourselves. The room we stayed in is very unique, it is not super big, but it is very clean and it has everything we needed for the night. All and all, I would highly recommend this place to my friends and family.

We had a wonderful stay here. The boss is incredibly kind and welcoming, and every morning there was a fresh basket of fruits prepared for guests, which was such a thoughtful touch. 🍎 The location is excellent and very convenient for exploring the area. What made the experience even more special was staying in a traditional Suzhou-style house — it felt authentic and unique. There is also a lovely rooftop area where you can sit and enjoy the view, which was one of the highlights of the stay. 🌿 Do note that because of the traditional architecture, some parts of the house have lower ceilings. Guests who are around 180 cm and above may need to be a bit more mindful when walking around.

I arrived in pouring rain. I thought I could walk to my hotel but it was impossible in the downpour. I didn’t want to bother any hotel owner.   I didn’t and still don’t  have an eSIM that can make local  call but thanks to Trip.com, there is a link that I could call the owner for free.  I didn’t advise the owners my arrival time so they were off running errands.  I called the owner to pick me up and thankfully he answered. He was busy but gracious enough to turn around and picked me up. It knew Zhouhuang requires a ticket but I didn’t know that no cars, nor motorcycles, nor bicycles are allowed. Without him I would have arrived the hotel easily.  I always like to meet the owners instead of employees . They were very helpful and answered all my questions. They are honest people who dedicate their  blood and sweat to their business. The owner even offered to walk me to the bus stop  to Suzhou which was my next destination.  This  operates two hotels with 9 in one and 6 in the other. The one that I stayed in with 9 rooms is in a  lively and busy area . Just outside the hotel is a restaurant and there are plenty of places to eat. Inside the hotel is a peaceful oasis where you won’t hear any noise. The location is the best. The other hotel is in a quieter neighborhood a few minutes away. Each of the 15 rooms has it’s own personality, is different and has its distinctive decoration. The owners said they decorated them themselves. I love the decoration and especially the lighting.  After you reserve a room, be sure to contact the owner for the exact address in case you want to arrive on your own. I think it is best to request the owner to take you there because he/she will lead you to the ticket booth to buy tickets. There are a number of bridges so heavy big luggages can be a bit of a challenge .  If you arrive after 5 pm, you can enter free of charge as no one is there to check your ticket. . But once you are inside, and if you choose to leave the area after 8 or 9 am until 5 pm, you have to pay to come back in. You can buy a one day or in my case 3 days pass.  Do check with the owner for up to date information.  The room was quite clean. There were hot water all the time. There were other guests during my stay but they were not noisy at all. I barely heard them. I slept very well during my 3 nights there.  Zhouhuang is really beautiful. There are many canals, bridges, boat rides, good food of all kinds. I had some of the best meals there. In fact , I ate in the same restaurant that serves dumpling twice. One night I had grill (BBQ) meat just outside the entrance for 4 yuans. .  There is decent size supermarket just outside the turnstile and not too far away is a much bigger supermarket. It was there where I bought half a Peking duck for only 32 yuans . The seller sliced the meat and separated the meat from  the bones. The bones he fried so it was crunchy.  It was delicious. There is a theater that offers performances. The night view is great. If you step out your room, you will be overwhelmed in a good sense by the exciting surroundings.  This hotel definitely is one of the best that I have ever stayed in. Look at the beautiful pictures and find one that you like.  I stayed only 3 nights and one of those days I went to Tongli. In my opinion, one should spend at least 2 to 3 full days in  Zhouhuang (and especially this hotel ) savor the ambience. I don’t think Tongli is worth the time because it was twice as expensive and there are not that many canals and boat rides. It is much quieter and has fewer things to see. . The worst is that the sightseeing places require you to show your ticket. After 2 places, I lost mine ticket and I  couldn’t get in the rest of the places. It is unnecessary to require proof of entrance because you can’t enter the area without a ticket. 

Very good apartment in one of the skyscrapers in the Suzhou Industrial Park district. Despite our request to live on the higher floor with a lake view, we lived in the apartment on the 27th (from 47) floor with the city view. Probably, they just don't have lake-view apartments. However, there is another skyscraper in front of our building. Though, the room was perfect! Very clean, with home shoes, slippers, bath and face towels, teeth kits, kitchen (fridge, microwave, kettle). However, there was no cookware or dishware. We also needed an iron (as was promised in the room description), but the administrator brought us a steamer (which is even better) a few hours after the request. There are many convenient stores around, where you can buy even cooked food. In general, we recommend this place to everyone! Очень хорошие апартаменты в одном из небоскрёбов в районе Индустриального парка Сучжоу. Несмотря на нашу просьбу заселить нас максимально высоко с видом на озеро, нам досталась комната на 27 (из 47) этаже с видом на город. Возможно, у них просто нет комнат повыше с видом на озеро. Однако, прямо перед этим небосрёбом находится другой со стороны как раз озера. И всё равно, сама комната оказалась просто превосходной! Очень чистая, с домашними тапочками, душевыми сланцами, банными и лицевыми полотенцами, зубным набором, кухней (холодильник, микроволновка, чайник). Однако, не было ни посуды для приготовления, ни столовой посуды. Когда нам понадобился утюг (а он был обещан в описании номера), мы попросили администратора, и тот принёс отпариватель (что даже удобнее) через несколько часов. Вокруг здания много небольших магазинчиков, в том числе с готовой едой. В общем и целом, мы рекомендуем это место для всех путешественников!

Location near MRT station only 3 min walk to Leqiao station, 5min walk to GuangQian walking street. Very convenient to get to anywhere Within 2 min walk plenty of shop selling food. Next building was a 4 storey IT/HP complex, had my HP repair at shop along the connecting street. This corner of the street is quite both day and night but still a very safe area. Hotel reception staff are very courteous and greet you. Arrival early and was able to check in as the room are available. Was given a hot towel and warm tea. Room has double glass to keep out cold and noise from the street. Sheets, towels are clean. Shower room, toilet is clean and spacious enough. Water pressure is strong and hot water is almost instantly. Toothbrush, face towel, bath towel, drinking water, slipper all 2 each, comb one. Tea, coffee can request from reception. House keeping is done efficiently As I book a room with king size bed and window which I paid extra for, it was comfortable to me. As the window face the hotel back lane thus not much o nice view but good sunshine. Room and toilet lighting is good, Have a large Monitor with IPTV. Room is spacious Hotel has safety 2 escape stairs, smoke mask in each room. Non guest and delivery staff are escorted by hotel staff to their destination room Check out was smooth and staff communicate very after I left that I had left behind some clothing which I intended to dispose. My 4 night's stay was very satisfactory as the price is value for money and exceed my expectation for what I pay. Will highly recommend to anyone that wants a reasonable price room with any hassle and comfortable stay. I gave a 4 star rating as I believe there are always room for improvement

What a Little Gem! (Just Not Built for Chunky Cousins) This place was an absolute gem! My cousin and I booked a room dreaming of sleeping in one of those gorgeous old Chinese-style beds. Turns out… we were a bit too robust for it. Oops! We had to switch rooms, but the lovely lady running the place didn’t charge us a single extra cent — probably because she feared we might collapse her beautiful antique bed! The location? Spot on. Just a short stroll from the Humble Administrator's Garden, but tucked away from the touristy chaos. And only about 100 meters from the subway station — super easy to get around. The hostess was incredibly sweet, even if we had to rely on smiles and hand gestures to communicate. Bonus points for the adorable cats lounging around the courtyard, giving the whole place a peaceful, homey vibe. All in all, it was a charming, quirky stay — just maybe don’t challenge the old furniture unless you're travel-size!

Our stay at this Suzhou apartment was nothing short of perfect! As first-time visitors, we were blown away by the incredible value. The location is great, just a quick 5-minute walk from the MRT, which made exploring the entire city effortless. The apartment itself was exactly as described: spotlessly clean, surprisingly spacious, and equipped with everything we needed. The highlight for us was the big projector screen; winding down each night with Chinese dramas was a unique and fun experience. Having a washer and dryer in the unit was also a huge convenience, allowing us to pack light. The true standout was our host. She was exceptionally helpful, providing a personal recommendations.
