Yining Kailash Youth Hostel (Liuxing Street Branch) is a youth hostel full of travel atmosphere, located in the Liuxing Street area of Yining City. "Welcoming, fun and central place to stay near Liuxing Street! The owner speaks English well and is super friendly and interesting. His love for travel and his culture is displayed around the hostel with the beautiful and quirky decor, and it is easy to see that lots of love and thought went into this place. His family were around and they are lovely too. They gave me a free coconut coffee which was delicious! The female shared room was clean and modern, with a comfortable bed with a curtain. There was a cupboard for each bed. There is a little shared kitchen which had a fridge/freezer, a hot water dispenser and things for cooking and eating (although I didn’t cook there). The shared female toilets had a few toilets and a few shower stalls - a down side for me was the toilets are all squat toilets and there was no toilet paper when I was there so I had to bring my own (maybe I did not see it, I did not ask). There were shared living spaces where you could sit at the tables and chairs, an outdoor courtyard area with a nice little garden, a lovely quiet reading room area with the owner’s books, and a rooftop area with tents. It’s a really cool, international place. I would love to come back again."

"Staff were helpful. The location was near the train station which is great for walking. The hostel has a large lobby and communal area for hanging out and chilling. Lots of amenities. Water is free to refill. Beds and toilets were clean and well-equipped with hair dryers. Really pleasant stay and would highly recommend this place for solo travellers."

"This was a wonderful stay, from beginning to end.
The welcome we received at the desk made us feel at home, and the women there did everything they could to make our stay comfortable, and to help us with the small problems we had with our trip. I can't say enough about the staff.
The room was great, and the breakfast had all we could want, including some options for western tastes.
The location is great, 15 minutes from the six star area, and street food everywhere we look.
We were also allowed an extra two hours to wait for our flight.
All in all a great choice.

"這家旅社非常滿意，就在客運站旁邊，裡邊挨着六星街，真的是非常方便，來去都很自由。老闆親自打掃衞生，很積極，我到店比較早。老闆直接給我免費升級了有衞生間的房間，住的很舒服，床太好了，被褥也很乾凈，走廊曬太陽太好了，在巷子裏有很多吃的，有個很大的院子。熱水很熱，還有免費的網絡，有洗漱用品，老闆很不錯，去往哈薩克斯坦必須住的地方，推薦。"

"房間乾淨整潔，但是一進來房間悶的，氣上不來，建議把空調安到有床的那個房間吧。讓出去旅遊的遊客住着舒服點吧，悶的渾身難受，一晚上沒睡個好覺，真的是遭罪，太難受了，那天要不是到伊犁太晚，第二天趕火車要不然真的退了，真的沒辦法待😭"

Seeing Yining City's sights from this hotel is easy with Saiwai Jiangnan Holiday Resort, XinJiang JiChang ChenLieGuan and Yining Sports Center all close by. When guests have some time on their hands they can make use of the onsite facilities. This Yining City hotel provides parking on site. According to our guests, this hotel provides a very high level of service. This hotel is particularly popular with those traveling with families.

GGästanvändareFrom the first moment, i had such an excellent time at Blue Dove. I chose the place for the incredible design of the place, the location within Kazankh ancient town, and the reference to Doves... I left with so much more! The owner and her husband were so helpful and brought ice coffees for me and my dad when we arrived, which was so welcome. They had local treats and fruit to try and a wonderful sense of community. They helped us arrange a driver to Qionkushtai and packed us a breakfast to go, with coffee :) Every detail has been carefully considered and it was a joy to stay at Blue Dove. I consider owner Wen to be my friend and look forward to visiting again. I highly recommend!

MmiooA True Hidden Gem – The Best Stay of My Xinjiang Trip!
Out of my entire journey across Xinjiang, this homestay was by far the most memorable and heartwarming experience. The moment I stepped into the beautifully decorated home, with its stunning blue hues, traditional Uyghur details, and peaceful courtyard covered by a canopy of vines, I instantly felt at ease. It truly felt like home.
What made it even more special was the incredible hospitality. The owner was exceptionally friendly, always ready with a warm smile and willing to help with anything I needed—whether it was sharing local tips, helping with transportation, or simply chatting over tea. Their kindness made me feel not just like a guest, but like part of the family.
The attention to detail in every corner, the peaceful swing in the courtyard, and the cozy atmosphere created the perfect setting to relax after a day of exploring. I can’t recommend this place enough—if you’re traveling through Xinjiang and want to experience genuine warmth and culture, this is the place to be.

GGästanvändareDetta är ett verkligt unikt litet vandrarhem. Innergården är vacker och har en stark Xinjiang-stil. Att bara sitta där och sola sig i värmen, dagdrömma och smutta på te är otroligt trevligt. Och priset är otroligt överkomligt – ett riktigt kap!
Faciliteterna inne på innergården är också mycket kompletta. Det finns en projektor, karaokeutrustning och brädspel – allt du kan önska dig. Om du reser ensam kommer du inte att bli uttråkad alls; ensamhet är obefintlig här! Du kommer att träffa många reskamrater, och ägaren organiserar ofta livliga aktiviteter, vilket skapar en fantastisk atmosfär.
Och viktigast av allt! Det är sällsynt att vandrarhem har privata badrum, men varje rum har ett! Det är ett stort plus!
Stället är också mycket rent. En städerska kommer regelbundet, och servicen är utmärkt. Ägaren är mycket vänlig och hjälpsam, alltid redo att kompensera för allt vi behöver. När en av mina reskamrater fyllde år gick ägaren till och med ut sent på kvällen för att köpa en tårta, och vi var med på det roliga.
Jag vill också ge ett shout-out till vandrarhemmets ”livvakt” – en riktig frossare, och även min lilla reskompis, haha!

LLilyDThe location is a little bit hidden in an alley, however I love how it is nestled among the local restaurants and houses, you get to see how the people live on the daily basis. Otherwise the room is clean, amenities are great too. If you are a light-sleeper, it can be a little bit noisy since it is located near houses. But overall, it is a great guesthouse if you would like a place near town as a base for your travel. The owner’s daugther though..despite my limited Mandarin, she went away and beyond to help me with literally everything from booking a bus, and communicating with a DiDi driver to mail my AirPod which I had left in the car at a different city! She arranged for it to be sent to my next location which I had book prior, ensured that the postman gave the mail to me personally by phonecall. She is one of the sweetest person I have met during my solo travel to China.

MMattGuzmanThe best hostel in the city, i did 2 hostel in this city and this one is by far the best. The room is so nice with Xinjiang carpet i love it so much. The yard is big with everything as washing machine or kitchen, and a place for rest with a cute cat and a mulberry tree with free natural mulberry. The location is so nice close to the best place in Yining. All the girls at the reception are so nice and welcoming with a very good english. When i will comeback in the city i will book again this place without hesitation. I hope to see foreigners there in the future.

GGästanvändareI felt at home staying here. The host and hostess were very kind, and checking in at midnight was no problem at all. The place was clean and new, and they even gave us free fruit and noodles. They also offered us a free ride to the airport. The service was absolutely excellent!

GGästanvändareThis accommodation was in an excellent location at the edge of Liuxing street area, near many restaurants and shops. It is near public transport and a main road. The host was super nice and helpful. We chatted quite a bit using translate apps since I did not speak Chinese and he didn't speak English. I booked a single room with a shared bathroom, which was very small and simple, but the host kindly upgraded me to a room with an ensuite for no extra charge. The building is old and could benefit from some renovations, but is clean and well-kept, and it has an old-fashioned charm to it with large, lovely arched windows. The rooms were very basic but sufficient, and the room with the ensuite has a good amount of space. There were nice large windows (although my view was blocked by some signs on the awning). There were curtains but light came through so I recommend bringing a sleep mask, and sound can come from outside so ear plugs also recommended. I also extended my stay for a few nights and the host was very accommodating. I was allowed to use the washing machined which the host helped me with. He also allowed me to leave my bags in the reception area after I checked out. There was wifi. There was tea/water at reception. It is great for someone on a budget. I included photos of the reception as I forgot to take photos of the other rooms. I am very grateful to the host and would stay here again.

VVSTOverall the hotel room is clean, spacious and comfortable to sleep in. It's walking distance to the popular 六星街。The older lady staff who helped us checked in was friendly and gave us free breakfast.
However, the other younger staff didn't help much because we called up earlier to make arrangements for the hotel pick up at the bus station. We agreed to contact each other by Wechat. Unfortunately, the girls didn't accept my request on Wechat and hence we couldn't contact the hotel by the time we arrived at Yining bus station. As foreigners, we are only able to use Wechat to communicate with the locals in China. Then after staying for two nights, we needed transport to go to the railway station at 8.30am, however again the staff told us that the transport services start only at 9.00am - 9.00pm.
There are washing machines available, too.
Breakfast is good.

PPhamAnI assume this is one top accommodation for foreign guests coming to Yining. I appreciated the host's assistance very much. Thank to them, my trip was done well.
Room is nice, good location which is near many food shop and on walking distance to Liuxing street as well as Ili passenger terminal for your daytour. And one bonus, it's quite near the airport that costs you less but more convenient!
