"I was affraid about this hotel, because majority of people who stayed here leave nagative respond. As for bed bug, I couldn't see it for couple of day. Receptionist are quite low key, and Hotel locates at slum area, also bit far away from the central. Overall, hotel is still decent choice as long as you're in the moment to cut your expenditure off."

"Останавливались в этом отеле на 1 ночь, завтрак не брали. Отель удобно расположен в пешей доступности от ж/д и автовокзала, недалеко от старого города. Остальные достопримечательности тоже в пешей доступности. Общественным транспортом для осмотра города не пользовались, единственно – ездили на метро к Бискайскому мосту (и переправлялись по нему через реку). Метро, кстати, тоже в 7-10 минутах ходьбы. Комната маленькая. Шумоизоляции никакой. Когда читала об этом в отзывах, даже не могла представить, что настолько. Слышен каждый шорох у соседей. 1 ночь можно переночевать, но на более длительный срок я бы не рекомендовала. В номере нет чайника, но можно попросить на ресепшен. Сотрудники очень любезные и доброжелательные. WiFi хороший. Бильбао очень интересный город, рекомендую его посетить."

"Decent budget option with reasonable facilities. The neighbourhood can be a little noisy at night and what a terrible choice to put in those extremely loud beeping room entry systems! You can hear everybody come and go!"

"Stay: 2 nights in February 2026 Review: 1. Very cold room and bathroom. The room and especially the bathroom were extremely cold. When the air conditioner is turned on for heating, it blows directly onto the heads of people sleeping in the bed, making it uncomfortable and difficult to breathe. 2. Very noisy. The room faces a busy street. People were talking and making noise outside throughout the night. The sound insulation is very poor. 3. Extremely small room. The room is clearly designed for one person (this is even indicated on the hotel’s floor plan), but we were accommodated there as two guests. There is almost no space to place luggage or personal belongings. The bathroom also has no shelves at all. 4. Uncomfortable toilet placement. The toilet is positioned in such a way that it can only be used diagonally, which I consider completely unacceptable. 5. Missing desk shown in photos. The room photos showed a writing desk, but it was not actually present. We had to spend time requesting and arranging for a desk to be brought to the room, as it was necessary for work. 6. Parking information is misleading. The hotel description states that parking is available, but in reality it is about a 15-minute walk away. This is very inconvenient when traveling with luggage. We only discovered this upon arrival. This information was not communicated in advance. There is also nowhere near the hotel to stop even for 5 minutes to unload luggage. Additionally, there is no reception desk at the hotel, so it is difficult to quickly ask for assistance."

"Zeer fijn hotel. Kamers ruim genoeg en voorzien van een ventilator boven het bed die voor voldoende verkoeling zorgde. Schone kamers en behulpzame, erg vriendelijke medewerkers. Hotel zit middenin het oude centrum en zelf had ik het geluk niet aan de straatkant mijn kamer te hebben."

"Loved my stay at Hotel Arriaga! The location is absolutely perfect – right in the heart of everything and super easy to walk everywhere. The room was clean, modern, and the bed was super comfy. The staff were really lovely and gave us some great tips for local pintxo bars. The vibe is relaxed and unpretentious, which we appreciated. Small note for light sleepers: ask for a room away from the street, as it can get a bit lively at night (but that's part of the charm of being in a great location!). The WiFi was also a bit spotty at times. Overall, fantastic value for money. Would definitely stay here again for a casual city break! Perfect for: Travelers who want a central spot without the fancy price tag."

"The room was basic but clean and was situated on the outskirts of Bilbao. The sound insulation was terrible and other guests could be heard clearly though the walls. I also found the room very cold and there was no aircon or heating system to help guests stay warm. Reception isn’t 24/7 so no one to ask questions of. I thought the place was massively over priced as it is rather like a youth hostel as there isn’t a joining bathroom facility."
