"Very nice location, didn't know their kitchen would consist of a microwave and a fridge, met nice people, staff was mostly helpful and nice, there was ac in the showers that made the curtains move a lot, my bed was broken and they said they wouldn't be able to move me anywhere else, but there were still so many free beds."

"Located in Lavapies not far from the main attractions in city center and at walking distance to Atocha train station, it has a rooftop with a bar - it closes at night though and another cafeteria-like social area with a good kitchen by the lobby. As a large hostel it tends to have groups of first-time travellers but it is still possible to socialize; they promote games, walking tours, pub crawlings etc Beds are perfect, capsule style with curtains and air conditioner on all day long."

"Great hotel in a perfect location! Everything was spotless clean and very comfortable. The only thing to be aware of is that the shower and toilet doors are transparent, which might be a bit inconvenient if you’re staying with friends."

"It was a very pleasant trip. The staff was very patient. The 24-hour front desk could provide timely help and service. The environment of the 6-person girls' dormitory was very clean and tidy, and the blackout curtain was also very good. There was no need to worry about affecting others."

"La ubicación de este hotel es excelente. Está en el centro de los lugares que yo quería visitar y podía ir a pie a todos. La habitación donde me quedé era muy pequeña, pero tenía lo necesario y estaba muy limpia, así que todo fue perfecto. El personal es amable."

"It was a rather pleasant stay at Ibis budget. Location on the metro is super central, perfect for even walking to the Madrid Royal Palace during good weather. Receptionist was friendly and informative if you have any questions just ask them! We could also use the microwave in the pantry and there was a water dispenser there. Room was small and shower did not have a curtain, just a frosted glass in the room, so do take note if it is a concern for you. My sole complaint would be the noise level, we stayed during New Year's festive period so there was quite a bit of fireworks going on every night, the window was not sound proof enough to block out the noise. Overall I would still rate it a decent stay, safe area and has pretty much all that you need!"

"Good location, quiet and safe area. Kitchen to cook but the other residents didn't like it when I tried to use the kitchen. Separate rooms for men and women but I chose to stay in the men's room to be with my son. I never had an issue in there. Some of the staff were kind and some was rude and gossipping to other customers us. The problem was the second day when I tried to use the women”s bathroom when I woke up in the morning -as I was advised to by the staff- and some Latino women didn't allowed me to go to the toilet. I went to the men's bathroom although they didn't like it too using theirs. In the afternoon I went again to take a shower, again in the women's room, and two other Latino women started talking and talking, making recommendations and problem. Again I left. Asked the receptionist about their boss to file a complaint but nowhere to be found. Just like Acacias and Thirty One so in Las Rosas the same boss but hiding. You can”t contact them.The same company owns these three and four more hostels and I realised this is the way they operate. They definitely have a personal issue with me and I don”t know if it is because I am a European citizen and not a Latina or it is something else. But that kind of bullying I've suffered in their hostels is unexceptable and I will not allow it. I will proceed in the court against them as they treat me like they are superior, they bullied me and they have to get what they deserve. So I will see them in court. As for their other hostel Rio who have cancelled our reservations and caused us so much trouble yesterday, I will write my review for them in every detail. So disrespectful and so unprofessional."

"Definitely a better place if you are a solo traveler. It’s as you expect, you sleep in a capsule. It was noisy because of the doors that make a lot of noise as they open and close. However, the service was great, very helpful!"
