"i recently stayed at adamo the village, matheran, and it turned out to be an amazing experience! the property exceeded expectations in many ways, making our trip even more memorable. 🏨 stay & ambience: the resort is well-maintained, clean, and more beautiful than it looks in pictures. rooms are spacious and comfortable, giving a perfect blend of luxury and nature. the resort surroundings are peaceful, making it a great escape from city life. 🍽️ food & dining: pure vegetarian food, and surprisingly, every dish was delicious and well-prepared. a good variety in the menu, catering to different taste preferences. the dining area was clean and well-organized. 💁‍♂️ service & hospitality: the staff was polite, professional, and always ready to help. quick service and attention to detail made our stay very comfortable. special requests were well-handled, making the experience more personalized. 🌿 location & experience: centrally located in matheran, making it easy to access major points. the resort had a peaceful vibe, perfect for relaxation. a great place for couples, families, and even group travelers. final verdict: ✅ great hospitality & well-maintained property ✅ excellent vegetarian food ✅ comfortable rooms & peaceful surroundings ✅ better than expected from the pictures i’d definitely recommend adamo the village to anyone visiting matheran! 🌿🏡✨"

"Radha's Cottage is a lovely retreat, very well located at the end of the road in Matheran. It's a simple place, furnished largely with period furniture. The food is outstanding - the best I've had in 6 weeks of traveling in India. For those who are unfamiliar with Matheran as I was, a couple pieces of information: - The ”toy train” runs very infrequently. Be sure to get a schedule if you plan to take it from the parking. - It's a 4.5km walk from the train station near the parking to Radha's. Don't believe the stationmaster if he tells you it's a 20 minute walk, it's an hour's walk. - It's still another 1.5km from the train station in the village to Radha's. If you've got a bag it's probably a good idea to get some help from a porter. - Sometimes the electricity goes out. When we stayed, these outages were brief, just a minute or 2. - Sometimes the water in the bathroom is dark brown. This surprised us one morning. It's dirt, and cleared during the course of the day."
