An excellent place located close to JR Nikko train station (about a 5 minute walk).
"Our stay at this hostel in Nikko was incredible, and the hostess was the heart of it. She warmly welcomed us with perfect advice for visiting the local sights and a very useful bus map. She thoroughly explained how everything worked, making us feel at home immediately. The balanced breakfast she prepared was delicious and gave us great energy for exploring. Her kind gesture of gifting us origami for a safe journey truly touched our hearts. She is an exceptional host who creates a special, personal experience. We sincerely wish her all the best, continued success with her lovely hostel, and most importantly, robust health and happiness. Thank you for everything!"

Nikko Park Lodge Tobu Station ligger bara 100 meter från tågstationen Tobu Nikko och har en restaurang och rum med gratis WiFi. Hela hotellet är rökfritt.
Helgedomen Toshogu ligger 2,5 km från hotellet och den populära vandringsleden Shinkyo/Takinoo Shrine ligger bara 5 minuters bussresa från den närbelägna tågstationen Tobu Nikko. Sjön Lake Chuzenji ligger 20 km bort.
De flesta av rummen har trägolv och västerländska sängar. Juniorsviten har tatamigolv och japanska futonsängar. Alla rum har vattenkokare och kylskåp.
I resedisken kan du få hjälp med sightseeing och bagageförvaring. Personalen talar engelska.
Hotellets restaurang serverar västerländska rätter. Du hittar även flera andra restauranger och butiker inom 10 minuters promenad.
"Convenient place just across Tobu Nikko station. For one night we had all we needed in our twin room, which was like a studio: private bathroom, kitchen corner with microwave, kettle, sink and fridge (no kitchen amenities), balcony with view. Heating and heated blanket did their job in the cold night. There’s a Supermarket and a Laundry service close by.
The hotel needs for sure some maintenance and insulation can be improved as it was very cold.
The only way to get to upper floors is by elevator, as I tried using the stairs but they were blocked by piles of sheets, which is not ideal as there should be emergency exits! Not really a budget accommodation compared to other places I stayed in Japan and for the standard offered."

Seasonal Japanese dishes focusing on Yuba. The inn stands nearby Shinkyo which provides tasty dishes.
"Most of the reviews are outdated so I thought I'd give an updated review. For one thing, there is WiFi (I have informed the landlady that the website indicates otherwise).
This place is a traditional-style inn. You'll be sleeping in a futon (some Google-fu should help you know how to use one), use two pairs of slippers (one for moving around the house, one exclusively for the toilet) and will also bathe in a Japanese-style shared bathroom. The front gate and bathroom close at 10pm, which is not an issue as everywhere in Nikko closes early and it's too dark to hike outdoors (in early Autumn).
We loved using the onsen to relax after a day of strolling around and hiking, and the delicious Japanese-style breakfast was lovingly prepared by a friendly old granny. The premises are old but well-maintained. Toilets, bathroom and onsen were great but we were there during off-peak season so we didn't need to share so much. Should we return to Nikko, this place will be our first choice!"

"First off, do not trust Google Maps for directions. The directions take you up the alley behind the hotel. The hotel opens on the main street (Hwy. 119 is what Maps indicates).
This is an absolutely great little hotel, well located, clean and everything about the hotel I noticed, well looked after. It has a small, functional onsen that I used.
I was in their hostel section, a single bed, capsule style. A little tough for a creaky, bad knees, old person like me but a great stay. They have a small, affordable breakfast buffet (Oriental-style) for purchase that is decent with a variety of different dishes. And they have a machine that dispenses excellent, fresh coffees and other beverages.
It is a 2-star hotel and I will give it a 5 star rating as a 2 star hotel. Very good little hotel."

"Nice hotel. Close to the station. There is several stores nearby. Late check in possible. Quite spacious room for Japan. Beautiful view from the window. Recommend to stay here"

"The guesthouse is quite a way from Nikko town (10-15 mins by bus / 1 hour walk) but is in a good location for getting to the shrines or to Lake Ashi - there's a bus stop close by. The guesthouse was homely and had 2 private onsen. Our room was comfortable enough although the en-suite was very tiny! The host was welcoming but didn't speak any English which meant we had to communicate by translating on our phones. We booked to have breakfast at the guesthouse, but didn't realise that for booking the dinner we needed to give 24 hours+ notice so missed out!"

Overall the experience was outstanding, I will choose this place again."

"The place is a 25-30 minute walk from the Tobu Nikko station, but you can actually take bus going there. However we didn't know the buses only run until 3 in the afternoon so we had no choice but to walk an uphill road. However it was a very fun experience and the hike was worth it as soon as we were able to take a rest in this humble pension house. The owner was very accommodating, gave us strawberry ice cream and even offered us a ride to the station the next morning. I would say that this place gave us the best definition of ”omotenashi”. Someday when we go back in Nikko , we'll surely stay here once again."

GGästanvändareWe had a great stay with Yoshiko-san. She was warm and friendly and gave us great tips and recommendations. The house is very conveniently located near the major temples, Kanmangafuchi abyss, and the bus route. The house was also very comfortable, a taste of real Japanese living!

EEmily Rose LWe loved our stay here! The onsen is so delightful- a nice view of the river to enjoy while you soak. I wanted to keep the turtle print pajamas- very cute. The breakfast was good and the snacks and tea were perfect for us when it rained. The location is not far from the bus stop, restaurants, and the amazing wonderful jiro statues.

TTL.TeddyWe were hosted by an elderly couple, and his family members. They were super cute, friendly and polite. It's like their small family business, ground floor was a western restaurant, second floor onwards were all the guest rooms. They know a bit of English, so the communication wise no issue at all. What we love about this stay is that other than the room with gorgeous lake view, the host was super helpful to allow us to store our luggage with them even way before our check-in timing. Furthermore he even offer to send us to the laundry shop, when we just casually ask him about the laundry. What actually surprised me the most, was that he even FETCH us from the laundry shop after we were done. Will definitely come back to this place again if I'm in Nikko! Thumbs up! Super host!! 😁

GGästanvändareI went to Yumoto for hiking and found this wonderful place. The staffs are very helpful. Although, they cannot fully communicate in English. They are trying their best to make sure my stay is the best experience I have.
Room is clean and has no AC.
Breakfast and dinner are traditional Japanese course and I love them.
About Onsen, it might not be in the best condition but it is good enough.
If I have a chance to return to Nikko, I will stay at this place again.

GGästanvändareDet är bara ett vanligt B&B. Förvänta dig inte för mycket av hårdvaran. Hotellet har ett bra läge, precis vid sjön. Den japanska tatamin har plats för tre personer. Det finns offentliga toaletter och badrum. B&B:t drivs av ett äldre par. Observera att det inte finns någon luftkonditionering i rummet, men temperaturen i augusti är cirka 18 grader. Den behöver ingen luftkonditionering. Det rekommenderas att boka middag här för 2 500 yen per person. Det japanska köket som det gamla paret lagar är rikt på variation och värt pengarna. Det finns en tvättstuga med självbetjäning fem eller sex minuter från B&B:t. Det kostar 700 yen att använda en S-maskin från tvätt till torktumling (självbetjäningstvättstugan ligger bakom Hanaan Hotel vid T-korsningen)

Завтрак и ужин были очень вкусные и большие, так что днём нам даже не хотелось обедать во время прогулки. В номере всё чисто и аккуратно. Место тихое и красивое. Рядом большой супермаркет со всем необходимым. Остановка автобуса на водопады и озеро тоже очень близко. Также поблизости находится публичный онсен, там тоже хорошо отдохнули. В общем нам всё очень понравилось! Спасибо!

The breakfast and dinner buffet are so great… love the choices they had ..: People are so friendly … We as a family are so great full for the amazing experiences… very much recommended…
