At Playa Serena you are a short distance from restaurants in Nueva Gorgona, most arewalkable. Three small convenience/grocery stores are also in walking distance. Panama City, the capital of Panama, is less than 2 hours away, and it is easy to visit if you want to explore The Panama Canal or Albrook Mall, the largest mall in Central America. Among my favorite sites are the Biodiversity Museum, the Canal museums, and strolling around Casco Viejo (the old town), a good place to buy a Panama hat.
