I went on a 13-day trip around Palawan and Coron was my first stop from Cebu. In Coron, I stayed in Dayon Hostel. I was alone for the duration of my three-night stay in the six-bed female dorm. You can choose to lock the door at night for security. I made sure that I turned off the AC every time I went out. The restrooms are clean especially the toilets although the shower rooms need to be upgraded as some showerheads do not function that well. It will also be nice if they do a thorough cleaning of the shower rooms and the sinks as they looked dirty and unkempt. There is a restaurant on the rooftop but the options are limited. If you exit through the back, it leads you the main road where you will find a wonderful cafe that serves good sausage meals. There are also several local options available if you want affordable options. The price I paid was worth the quality of the stay. The hostel is known by tour operators and guides and so it was not a challenge when it was time for pick-up and drop off. I loved the staff especially when I had to leave early in the morning to head to the port for my trip to El Nido. They arranged my transportation and made sure that I left the hostel on time. Will I go back? Maybe not and it's not because I don't like it. It's just that I felt that my next stay should be in a private room for another worthwhile experience in Coron. But for those solo travelers on a budget, Dayon Hostel is your best bet in Coron in as far as affordable sleeping option is concerned.

Нам не повезло с номером, окна выходили прямо на дорогу, движение по которой почти не прекращалось, было очень очень шумно и сильный запах бензина. С закрытыми окнами все равно было слышно проезжающие машины и трициклы. Плюс еще шел ремонт, от которого тоже было шумно. В итоге возвращаться в отель совсем не хотелось. Завтрак был вкусный, в ресторане при отеле, дают скидку 25%, но только на завтрак. Перед нашим заездом в номере распылили какой то ароматизатор с резким запахом, полотенца и постельное белье тоже были с резким запахом, что вызвало у меня аллергическую реакцию на коже. Дизайн отеля интересный, из общих зон есть вид на море.

My overall experience is good! I'm the type of person who prefers active travelling, so the hotel is needed literally just for sleep, shower and storing stuff. My requirements for the hotel were good proximity to the city center and nice room with hot shower. Well, the location is truly good, it's a bit on the hill so to get to the city center you just need to come down. In the same building there is a great cafe DAYO who offer 10% discount per day for the Oceana Bay hotel's guests. During our trip to Philippines, Coron was the last destination and the 4th hotel we stayed at, and that was the only one with some room facilities issues. When we checked-in it turned out there is no water in the shower, the staff truly tried to be helpful, the receptionist girl offered us to stay in another upgraded room before the problem will be solved. The thing is when one day later we had to return to the room the problem with the water wasn't solved, we had to contact staff all the time which for sure was absolutely inconvenient, especially when water could be cut off during taking shower. At that point nobody cared already, there were no offers to change the room or to offer us a discount. The siphon from the sink was leaking, so every time you wash your hands, the bathroom floor is immediately in water. The AC is truly loud, but this is absolutely normal for Philippines, as well as the absence of hair dryer. Nice thing that the hotel unlimitedly provides drinking water in the hall. The hotel also offers tours, bike rent, transfer to the airport, but I'd suggest to check it out in the city first, we've found more convenient and better price offers there.

This was the second time that I have been to Lola Itang Pension and now Lola Itang‘s Bed & Breakfast. I chose them for the rate per night of stay and its very convenient location. The staffs are very helpful and friendly. The room in the single villa is spacious and gives you an extra ordinary privacy and a nice garden view. They gave me the room #1 and I was surprise by what I‘ve got for the price I paid. It‘s totally worth it. They provide a pitcher and two glasses which you can refill with water at the dining area so you won‘t contribute to single-use-plastic wastes. Coffee and tea is also provided for free. One thing that I notice though, is that when there is a guest upstairs, you can hear the sound of the door being opened or closed, furnitures being moved and it can be disturbing for your peaceful sleep. My door during my first day was also a bit noisy, each time I open or close it, it makes a eerie sound similar to how you‘ve heard it from horror movies. Luckily, O brought a body oil with me, and just a few drops of it on hinges, fixed the issue. I will definitely stay here again. Shoutout to the very handsome guy who assisted me in checking in. Hoping to see him again on my next stay.

We stayed for five nights, booking one double room and one family room. Both rooms were sufficiently furnished, and there were tables outside that we made good use of during the day. We were also offered the use of a fridge in the common area, which we really appreciated. From what I understand, only the family rooms come with water heating. The location is very good—tucked away in a safe, lively neighbourhood and within walking distance of both NCCC Mall and SM City Puerto Princesa Mall, where there are supermarkets and plenty of food options. We were also able to walk to several places of interest in the city, including the Boardwalk, Chinatown, the Heritage Centre, and the Immaculate Conception Cathedral. There’s a laundry just across the road that charges reasonable rates. The hosts were the best part of the stay. They were family-oriented, warm, hospitable, accommodating, and very communicative. They helped organise tours at prices better than those offered on online platforms. We had a whale of a time at Honda Bay and the Underground River—both are must-experience attractions when visiting Palawan. Highly recommended for travellers looking for a welcoming place, great hosts, and a convenient location.

Останавливались на 3 ночи. Хорошее местоположение. Да Корона шли пешком. Можно доехать на тук-туке за 50 песо. Красивая территория, много цветов хороший бассейн, в то же время нет насекомых. Даже вечером. У нас был большой домик ну не такой уж он большой. Очень большая ванная. Есть верёвки чтобы сушить купальник и полотенце. Постель чистая сантехника чистая. Наверное не хватало немного шкафа. Холодильника нет. Кондиционер работает хорошо. Возле домика столик стулья и гамак где можно посидеть вечером. В отеле можно заказать все экскурсии не намного дороже чем в городе. Отель в конце города,- очень удачно, и городу недалеко, и потише , и можно взять машину с доставкой в отель тогда мне нужно толкаться в пробке. Питание дороговато. Рядом есть ресторанный дворик в метрах 100 направо, практически все из отеля питались там. Там что-то вроде фудкорта. Дворик находится поодаль от дороги то есть пыль не летит. Певица в дворике в дворике- поёт твк что слышно было даже в отеле. Это минус) До полночи поёт певица, в 5:00 утра начинает петь петухи. Как-то большой домик неудачно расположен прямо возле курятника. В целом было приятно вернуться после экскурсии окунуться в чистый бассейн, посидеть в гамаке в окружении цветов и деревьев.

The Casa's location is just up ahead from the Coron main road which you can take tricycle to go anywhere in the Coron Town Proper, it is also near the St. Agustin Church, and near to BPI, Andoks, Pacifico, Maria L's Cake House and Café. The Casa is basically and technically near to popular places, you only need to walk down to the Coron main road and grab a tricycle and jist tell the driver the place you want to go. The room I was in were good to sleep in, the aircondition works, I basically turned off the AC when the room cool enough then open the electric fan. You can use their kitchen which I discovered late but it's fine since I always out touring, I just wish that the care taker orient me ahead on what can I access or use. I spoke to the owner ober the phone, he is not here in the Casa but still helped me to be picked up from and to the airport and the Casa. There are no staff to fully accomodate you since this is not a hotel but more like a house where you rent room to stay in to sleep and bathe, but you can ask people who were staying here probably the care taker of the house to ask for assistance. The place were not yet known to all because during my stay here and I had a booked tour the van couldn't find the Casa, probably it has no visible sign that the driver or the guide could see. There's a sign outside the gate but it needed more visibility and a repaint so that everyone know what is this place and its location. The place cannot be seen in Google Maps since it was not yet updated to recent view so even if you virtually travel the streets, the area where this place is, is inaccessible on the map. So far a good place to stay in to relax after a long day of tour activities and probably one of the cheapest.

Review for Ginto Residence in El Nido – 4/5 Stars Ginto Residence is a fantastic place to stay in El Nido if you’re looking for a central location. This small property with only four rooms feels more like an Airbnb than a traditional hotel, which adds to its charm. The staff are extremely friendly and polite, and communication is easy via WhatsApp. The amenities are thoughtful – free water, hot coffee, and tea are always available. The rooms are freshly renovated and very clean. The location is exceptional, right in the heart of Corong-Corong, with plenty of restaurants and bars within walking distance. If you’re in an upper-floor room, the balcony provides a great view of the street below – but keep in mind, you’ll also hear the street noise quite clearly. This makes it ideal for guests who want to be in the middle of the action, but perhaps not for those seeking peace and quiet. Breakfast is served in a local Filipino restaurant nearby and features delicious, authentic Filipino cuisine. The internet connection is excellent and very stable, which was a huge plus. One suggestion for improvement would be to add a refrigerator in the rooms, as this would be very convenient for guests. Overall, I’d definitely stay here again. It’s a great option for its location, friendly service, and modern amenities. Four stars!

Små rum, precis intill en partygata. Storleken, servicen och till och med läget var ärligt talat inte värt pengarna. Men just då fanns det inga alternativ, inget val. Alla hamnar var stängda och hotellen var slutsålda, så det fanns ingenstans att ta vägen. Vi stannade en natt.

La habitación se ve que es muy antigua, los colchones son de espuma, los enchufes generan poca confianza, la verdad por lo poco que se paga se podría decir que está normal, no esperes mucho. El baño es otro mundo, la taza del baño no tiene la base para sentarse, por lo que es muy poco higiénico a la hora de usarlo, o eso o orinar y hacer tus necesidades sin tocar la taza. La ducha no tiene mucha presión, por lo que si vas a ducharte es mejor que uses la llave que está debajo de la ducha y llenes un balde y te bañes con el balde de agua. La puerta del baño de las mujeres está rota por debajo, por lo que puede causar un poco de inseguridad, aunque la verdad no creo que a la gente le importe mucho.
