Surrounded by 20 acres. It has everything you need for cooking and for getting an amazing hot water outdoor shower.All you need are your clothes and your food. There is a nice size refrigerator, copper sink with drinkable spring water flowing from it.The queen size bed is made of memory foam and is brand new. I have olive oil, some spices, salt and pepper, tea and coffee and a french press for your use.I provide your towels in the kitchen and for the shower.Guest accessGuests will have access to just the immediate area around the Birds Nest. The area around the big cabin is private along with the rest of the property. More information will be provided when guests check in. There is several places to go hiking, swimming, fishing or paddle boarding nearby.Other things to noteIf you are wanting to bring a dog, please message me first. I do have a young dog here that is off leash. She is friendly and loves people and their dogs.There is a nonrefundable pet fee of $35. You may be lucky enough to meet or hear other North Idaho wildlife on our property; Mister Moose occassionally comes for a visit, too.On warmer days you can sit outside on the covered porch or have lunch on the picnic table. Grab a blanket if you get cold!Choose between sleeping in the cozy loft (low ceiling) or downstairs. If you pick the cozy loft, you must be able to climb steep stairs/ladder. There you will find two twin XL size mattresses--> feel free to move them together to make it a king size bed. If you prefer to sleep downstairs, you can pick the trundle or day bed. All 4 beds are memory foam. The living room and sleeping areas are open space concept, so you won't find a bedroom door ;) .The water in the shower is temperamentalDue to limited power to the cabin, there is a tankless water heater which might not always keep up with the water pressure in the shower. The lower pressure you will use, the warmer it will be.Our guest cabin is cozy, simple and compact. Take its size (+/-350sqft) in consideration when booking.-->most pictures are taken with fish eye lense. Note that it appears bigger.The cabin is perfect for 2 people and ok for up to 4 guests. It can get tight if you travel with a lot of luggage and/or winter gear.There is a small kitchen with a countertop double burner, coffee maker, toaster and a mini fridge. The cabin backs up to the Kaniksu National Forest and many miles of dirt roads and trails for hunting, hiking, 4-wheeling, motorcycles, side by sides, horseback riding, bike riding, snowshoeing and snowmobiling with a warming hut up the road. Access right from the cabin to many trailheads like Goat Mtn, Scotchman's Peak, Morris Creek and several lakes. Lake Pend Oreille is only 7 miles from doorstep to boat launch. Schweitzer Mtn is a 45 minute drive, the town of Sandpoint about 40 minutes. Very close to Cabinet Mountain Wilderness.
