"I called the hotel before my flight to ask about the shuttle bus service, and the girl who answered was like a robot in her answers and didn't seem interested in giving me very detailed or friendly answers. I was a little worried about finding the bus and asked if there was anything I needed to know about how to find the bus, and instead of explaining that the bus would have the name of the hotel on it (which was the case in the end, but isn't always the case in my experience- and I have travelled a lot) she just very robotically said to go to the charter pick up area. The shuttle bus was the main reason I booked this hotel, and I was a little bit choked by this interaction. The room was okay, it was clean, but confusingly unlit. The only light connected to a switch in the room was by the door, the rest of the room was lit only by 4 lamps (one of which didn't work) and it was incredibly dark in the room, even in the morning hours after the sun rose. The comforter on the bed was just a piece of batting sandwhiched in between two white flat sheets rather than a duvet cover. It would have been a nice service to have brought me a toothbrush to my room when I called down to the front desk and requested one, instead they made me come to the front desk in my pajamas for one. The hallways stunk of **** covered up by perfume. The guy who checked me in was nice and friendly, even though he had a lineup of people waiting to check in late at night and that must have been a little stressful for him. Overall, I felt the customer service at this hotel could be improved. Even if $120/night is not wildly expensive for Vancouver, it's still a lot of money, and the customer service doesn't need to suffer as a result."

"About a 20 minute drive from the airport and close to the bus station. The owner is kind, the room was clean and everything you needed was available. The owner was also always available and was able to give recommendations for things to do in Vancouver. The only improvement I would give is more options for breakfast but the main area was comfortable. Overall, great experience with zero issues."

"Hotel location is in the heart of shopping area. Famous landmarks are within few minutes - even Canada Place is just 15minutes walk straight. If you will come from Pacific Central Station - this is just less than USD10 taxi to reach the hotel. Staff are very welcoming. Room is perfect for us - i like the wash room very spacious, towels are well arranged in rack, most importantly it has wooden floors where it's not too cold for the feet. Beds are comfortable to sleep on and room is very quiet. I highly recommend this place - eateries are within 5 mins walk (Mcdonalds, Kfc, Jollibee, Thai, Tacos, Pizza, bars, etc. Stay here is you want best shopping stores and can find anything here"

"Location is good. It is relatively close to the sky train and restaurants. However, the walls are thin and we can hear our neighbors walking and faucet running. The building is old with some renovations done. Could improve on the shower pressure and the air condition fan was noisy. The description on our room was “courtyard view” but I got the view of the roof with some air units and rain water. Staff at the front desk was courteous. I think parking should have been included."

"Booked this hotel for my long layover solely for its location. It’s a few walk away from Bridgeport metro station (although the walk may not be as glamorous since the way to get there has the potential to be confusing; anyway I figured it out easily). That meant I’m close to the airport as well as the metro if I wanted to go downtown. The room was clean, and the bathroom was spotless. The check in and check out process was a breeze. The y have decent breakfast that starts at 6 (you can even take your coffee to go if needed). The staff were wonderful and helpful. As soon as I checked in and told the front desk I’m headed back to the airport the next morning, he told me that the hotel offers a shuttle that can send you to the airport!! That meant I didn’t have to walk back to the metro. (With that in mind, I bet they also have a pickup shuttle service—so contact the hotel so you can skip the metro altogether.) Such convenience."

"We really enjoyed our two night stay here, it was clean, quiet, and had everything we needed. The service was great, everyone was very nice and welcoming, especially Daniel and Greta. The bathrooms were clean and always available whenever we wanted to use them. The only thing was the deposit, they hold a 200 CAD deposit in your account which we thought was quite much, however this did not take away from our great experience. Overall would highly recommend this stay if you want a clean and central accommodation."

"Stayed at Sunshine Bay · Westside Homestay and had a fantastic experience. The room was spotless and quiet, the location is convenient for transit and the host was very warm, very responsive, and very helpful. Great value—would definitely stay again!"

"I have stayed here since 2012 with my flights into YVR and crossing the US border next day, both north and south. The shuttle is a godsend after a long flight, complimentary phone to hotel from airport, short drive to hotel, done deal. The reverse just as convenient. Having breakfast available from 5:30am wonderful as well. May be an alternative to sugary cereal but there’s bagels and waffles, yoghurt toast and jam. Coffee and tea. The rooms are clean. The hotel ready for an update biggest complaint - DITCH THE COFFEE BAG COFFEE MAKERSin the rooms. What drizzles out of them is disgusting. Great excitement this trip. Hotel fire alarm went off. Richmond’s finest turned up and it was declared a false alarm. Got to chat with other guest. Exciting start to the day. I’m still a fan."

"Great location with the big supermarket just opposite, so many selection of the restaurants at downstairs or nearby. The 1 bed room suite + 1 study room with kitchen was spacious for our 3 weeks long stay! Those luxury brands just next at the corner, we will definitely come back again for our next stay!"
