"The room was small but cosy, though the value didn’t match the price. It was uncomfortably hot despite our attempts to adjust the temperature, affecting our overall comfort. Breakfast was simple and could be improved. However, John was professional and provided excellent service, which was a highlight of our experience. While there were positives, the stay didn’t fully meet expectations."

"Trip.com did not state the linen fee charges per person on their website. When I arrived I was shocked that a 4CHF per person per night has turned in a 78 CHF payment which is a huge discrepancy. However, it took me about 2 hours and I resolved this with the service reception of Alpen. There is no main reception in this lobby but the service providers were superb. The room is amazingly spacious and clean and it was an overall lovely stay thanks to the great service and comfort of the room."

"The location was excellent, just near Zermatt Bahnhof and easily accessible from most places. The room came with a balcony overlooking the mountains, offering a stunning view — we even watched black neck sheep while enjoying our dinner and coffee.
The stay was comfortable overall, though note that no amenities like toothbrushes or shavers were provided. Breakfast offered a decent spread of continental options with limited hot food, but the croissants were especially commendable."

"Booked a family room for 3 adults and 1 child.
Service at front counter is excellent! Courteous, friendly and informative. Also we got upgraded! Room is clean and spacious and has a balcony. On going renovation next door during our stay in Oct 2024.
Resort has 2 restaurant at the hotel but one apparently requires reservation and has seating time. We were famished when arrived at the restaurant at 8pm, but were told to come back at 830pm for second seating. Such a disappointment when the front counter service was excellent. Had dinner at the pub instead, food wasn’t too bad.
Spa facilities was great. Would stay at the same Ola e again. Value for money"

"My stay at this hotel was a wonderful experience!
The hotel was priced at 500 euros per night for my room...
Personally, I thought it was well worth it!
This is because
(1) A light course dinner is included
(2) Breakfast buffet is included
(3) It costs 60 euros round trip & takes about 1.5 hours to climb up here, so you can't get up and down so much and you don't know the weather on the mountain.
The mountain railroad ends at 20:00 at night, so from then until morning, the top of the mountain will be monopolized by hotel guests.
So, considering all these factors, I thought it was rather a good deal.
In fact, I was able to capture the cloudless Matterhorn on my way home after checking out at the very end!
So I recommend this hotel"

GGästanvändareWe arrived about 1300 and the hotel was able to provide a flexible early check-in -very good as it allowed us to do some afternoon sightseeing. Room was very good with nice features, space and amenities. Breakfast was excellent. Staff helpful and provided good local advice. Only poor note was that the pool was out of service, which was disappointing due to the inclement weather that occurred during our stay.

GGästanvändareI had a wonderful stay at this charming small hotel, beautifully decorated and conveniently located near Zermatt train station.
During my stay, a snowstorm caused a power outage and all train services were suspended, making it impossible to leave the town. Despite these unexpected circumstances, the hotel took excellent care of us. They provided helpful information, allowed us to extend our stay without any additional charges, and showed incredible kindness throughout.
The hotel owner was especially warm and accommodating, making a difficult situation much easier for us. I truly appreciated their hospitality and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Zermatt.

GGästanvändareI wish to express my dissatisfaction with my recent stay at Hotel Bistrols from Dec 16 to Dec 17.
During my stay, I experienced an incident that left me quite unsettled. Around 20 mins after my check-in to the hotel, another group of tourists (think was a couple) was able to use hotel access card to access my room, we, both parties are shocked and super embarrassed. This situation raised significant concerns about the security protocols in place at the hotel. As a guest, I expect a certain level of safety. If the room was accidentally opened without my presence, I am not sure whether my belongings are going to disappear, this situation made me had just a light sleep throughout the whole stay.
The lack of adequate security measures not only compromised my sense of safety but also made me question the overall management of the hotel. In an age where guest security is paramount, I believe that Hotel Bistrols should prioritize ensuring that all rooms are properly secured and that guests feel safe throughout their stay.
A point to add is that the receptionist has poor attitude towards her service. The whole experience which I would not consider to give this hotel another try in future.
I hope that the hotel will take my concerns seriously and address these issues for future guests.

On the way to hotel from zermatt station if you follow the google map, it gonna lead u to hard way, very high upslope hill. it will be better if hotel provide u the easy path way to hotel.

breakfast is superb and staffs friendly
we stayed 3 nights and were luckily blessed with 1 day of clear whether at the top of the mountains.
2 ways to walk to the hotel from train station, the shorter one that google will tell u includes a steep climb (difficult if you have luggages in tow).
the easier and better walk will just be to keep going straight, turn left at the matterhon musuem / church junction, and from there just a short gradual stretch to reach the hotel. very doable even with kids and luggage .

GGästanvändareKristiane checked us in, and out of the hotel. She's the most attentive person so far that I've met, among the hotels that I have stayed in. Not only that, she got our issues fixed within the day, with a good sense of humour. The hotel breakfast was above average, some selection of cheeses, ham, salami, yoghurt, and drinks dispensed from the machine. I chose this hotel as it was close to Zermatt Bahnhof, and I did not regret it. A relatively new hotel, with a faint smell of wood in the room. The heating in the room can be a wee bit stronger, it means the insulation is good while we tuned down the central heating throughout our stay when the external temp is subzero. It's a gorgeous hotel, I have a narrow window view of the Matterhorn. Not to mention that the hotel is right next to McDonald's and two coffee shops. Overall, it was a splendid experience for us staying at Derby. If you were guessing, this isn't a sponsored review. We were just very happy travellers.

RrickychungkkI had an amazing stay at this place! The location was perfect—close to the city center, public transportation, local shops, and restaurants. The apartment was clean, well-decorated, and equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The bed was very comfortable, and we appreciated the thoughtful touches like complimentary coffee, luxury toiletries, and a guidebook with local tips.
The host was an excellent host, providing clear communication and quick responses to any questions we had. They even left a welcome basket and gave us great restaurant recommendations.
Overall, this Airbnb exceeded our expectations, and we would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area. We hope to return soon!

Hotel is directly opposite cemetery but don’t think too much and u be fine! Room is small but cozy (my photo is wide angle so seem bigger)
Hotel is very helpful to help pack a breakfast bento for me as I be leaving before breakfast hours (just inform the day before). I also managed to keep luggage after checkout at the common area (no lock and key) and retrieve it later.

체르마트 역 주변에서 Groun Line 버스를타고 Matterhorn Glacier Paradise를 찾아가면 곤돌라를 타고 올라갈수 있습니나 조식도 맛있고 직원분들도 매우친절합니다.
마테호른이 숙소 바로앞에 있어 고르너그라트전망대도 갈필요가 없습니다.
