Get this hotel!!! We were supposed to stay for a night and then decide what to do - we ended up staying 3 nights and were very sad to leave. Every so often when you travel your hotel experience significantly improved your holiday - this was one of those cases! First of all the basics, we were looking for a nice family friendly hotel walking distance from the beach - and this certainly fit that category. The rooms are fine, you could see the sea from the windows, comfortable beds, pretty clean, slippers, plenty of towels, wifi everywhere etc. There was also a small playground for small kids and hammocks (picture) etc which was cool, we also saw mahjong tables, but didn't have the time to play. The hotel is located near a fairly large field, filled with exotic birds, butterflies and crickets etc. There were also geckos everywhere (love them), but we didn't see any inside the room. There were some mosquitos outside on the terrace (don't love them), but the repellent took care of those and we didn't have any in our rooms. Felt like you were near nature, in a good way. The kids loved to play on the beach, it's great for sand castles (the hotel had buckets and shovels free of charge) and searching for crabs, fish, shells, sea snails etc... The moms loved it too, especially to walk around and explore during low tide. (the hotel also provided equipment to catch crabs and other sea creatures etc if you wanted to - they also had a service to cook them for you) We especially enjoyed playing under a nearby pier during low tide to avoid getting badly sunburned. The supermarket across the street sell dozens of single malt whiskys and beer from all over the world (they also have ice cream and other stuff) - and the dads recommend the roof terrace for that after the kids are asleep. (picture) If you know how to ride a scooter/ebike they rent them across the road too, and it's the best way to explore the island. The small roads (almost devoid of cars) were awesome to drive on, just remember to stay safe. I don't usually care much about breakfast, but the included breakfast was great! (picture) The kitchen staff was also super laid-back about the whole thing - this whole hotel radiated a very laid back tropical island feel that made you forget you were in China. However the reason I write this review is because of the owner. (last picture) (I'm not sure if he speaks English though, but I'm sure you'll manage) Super chill guy! Immediately after booking he contacted us to arrange the transport from the boat. He helped us buy tickets for the trip back. He was willing to come and pick us up at any time if we got lost on the island. He had great recommendations about basically everything, and whenever we made plans we were sure to ask for his advice. He was basically always reachable over wechat too. These are just some of the things that he didn't have to provide, but did (or offered): unlimited cold drinking water, ice, proper glasses, a coffee grinder, buckets, shovels, hats, umbrellas, sunscreen, aloe vera plants, flashlights, mosquito repellent etc etc and it feels like we only scratched the surface. It feels like whenever I asked him for something he always had a solution that exceeded my expectations. Great host! I've traveled to almost 100 countries and while this wasn't the fanciest hotel I've stayed in by any means, this was one of the most memorable hotel experiences I've ever had. If anyone I know plans to visit this island I will for sure recommend this place.

My recent stay at HaiXuan was absolutely fantastic from start to finish. The moment I arrived, I was greeted by warm and welcoming staff who made check-in a breeze. The location was perfect, with easy access to beach.Everthing was very clean and brand new, What truly set this hotel apart was the outstanding service. The staff went above and beyond to ensure my stay was enjoyable, always with a smile and a willingness to help. They even transfered us train station for free. If one day i return Beihai i will definitely stay here again and would highly recommend HaiXuan to anyone looking for a top-tier hospitality experience. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

En resa som en man säger att han ska gå. Särskilt ett lugnt ställe. De är väldigt vackra, de är väldigt vackra, de är väldigt tysta och de är väldigt lugna och de är väldigt attraktiva för mig. Om du älskar att ta foton, och familjen med barn kommer att vara här. Rummet är mycket stort och rent, så det finns inget problem med att bo i familjen. Det finns också en specialiserad plats för att ge slips och en hiss. - Det är bara små kläder. Tjänsten är bra.Det finns en kylskåpskåp när du går.Du behöver inte köpa det. Det är också nära Silver Beach, det är också nära att äta godis i hamnen, ett särskilt bekvämt ställe.

The homestay is beautifully laid out and much thought has gone into the design. It’s very quiet and relaxing, and has lovely benches and swings outside surrounded by beautiful plants. The owner is very eager to please. You can walk about 10 minutes to get to the beach - the beach and the park next to it is beautiful and stretches for miles. When I stayed in March/April, the weather was miserable and cold so I didn’t make use of the pool. One thing to keep in mind, is that this is a homestay catering to Chinese people - that means breakfast is standard Chinese and the mattress on the bed is also Chinese-firm. Neither of the owners speak English, but you can add the lady on Wechat to communicate with her. Being a homestay means less crowds and more relaxing. The owner was very kind to refund me one night when I decided to shorten my stay due to the crappy weather. I really appreciate that she was flexible and accommodating with this.

För första gången som jag besökte detta Yi-shan hotell med vänner, kändes det bra.Städerna har en bekväm plats i centrum, det finns stora supermarknader och mat runt omkring.Receptionens syster är väldigt uppmärksam på att rummen är mycket ren, bred och ljus, vindrutetorkare är bra att använda, TV är stor, gillar sin hemsida.

We loved our stay here on Weizhou Island and this accommodation We had fantastic views from our room. The hosts could not do anymore for us. The service we received was amazing. We received complimentary transport to and from the ferry. One day we bought a fresh fish from the market. The hosts cooked that fish for us and we ate it at the hotel.

Staff was really friendly, made us felt really at home. Room was clean as well. Walls are abit thin so do bring earplugs if u’re sensitive to noise. Aside from that, service was top notch and everyth was really well arranged and prepared for us. Would totally recommend this and go back to this place if i ever come back here.

My experiences in Beihai was so amazing. Me and my friends are having so much fun, we ate seafood and enjoy the sea view, that's such an awesome thing to do in your life.

I stayed for two nights (originally three). Unfortunately there were no ferry getting there in the first day, therefore I was just able to stay there for two nights. In the end, they offered me to refund one of my nights, which was very nice of them. The room was nice, clean and very silent (except of the AC). the stuff was friendly and the hotel had a great pickup service. The hotel is a great place to chill and calming down. There are even some Restaurants and Shops close by (10 Minute walk) and the beach is just a few meters from your room, therefore directly at the hotel. (1minute walk). I truly can recommend this hotel. 😊

We really enjoyed our stay in this hotel but I would not recommend to non-Chinese unless they are really well enculturated - some of the staff attitudes and practices were very ”local.”  It was a great location for an old-fashioned, relaxing, few days by the sea, easy walking distance of the Old Town, Underwater World, Golden Beach and directly on the sea front promenade.  Breakfasts were solidly local with little variation and the only drink was hot soy milk (we got our morning caffeine fix at the friendly Keyhole Cafe close by.  And I agree with the other reviews about the wonderfully comfortable beds and bedding.
