"Cosy historical building done up very nicely. Room was well renovated, owner super friendly and very accommodating, we asked for more water, toilet paper, different type of breakfast etc all happy to oblige. 10 minutes walk to light show, 10m walk to center of ancient city where most of the historical sites were. 10m walk to outside where the best food is..DO NOT eat inside the old city, food outside much better. Owner also arranged for car to take us to Wang Family compound and Shuanglian temple at much better price than I could find anywhere online. and private transfer to/from train station as well. Very happy I booked to stay at this location. Breakfast was EXCELLENT"

"The accommodation is absolutely beautiful, with very nice details. They also left us some sweets and tea as a welcome gift, and every day they gave us a large bottle of water. The only thing I didn’t like is that during the day people come to take photos at the property, and there is quite a lot of noise until almost 10pm. Sometimes it can be annoying to hear people taking photos right outside your room. Apart from that, the accommodation is great."

"Beautiful old-style building in the tourist center of Pingyao. The room was small but had what we needed. The staff was very kind and offered many tips for our visit to Pingyao. As well as free pick up and drop off to the train station. Chinese breakfast and a bottle of local vinegar was provided."

"It's safe to say this was the best hotel in China so far (and I've been to many cities). They offer a free pickup service to and from the city gate, from where you can easily reach the train station using a taxi (around 20 RMB). The hotel is located in the center of the ancient city, which really boosts the great vibe it gives. The hotel buildings are very old but in fantastic shape (like built yesterday). It really feels amazing just walking to your room through the country yard. The whole staff was fluent in English and extremely welcoming and generous. The room itself was very spacious and tremendously clean. It had all amenities needed like a heating and cooling AC, exclusive wifi router. The bath had extra shoes and even a hairdryer. We got fresh toothbrushes and toothpaste. The bath tub is also amazing and the rain shower has great temperature (which is important to me, as I don't like fiddling with the water mixer). If you plan to stay in Pingyao (ancient city) I can wholeheartedly recommend this place and will definitely book it again for my next trip to pingyao."

"the staff was friendly and the inn is very cute. the toilet was a bit dirty but nothing a good disposable toilet seat cover couldn't solve. wifi and AC heating are great. breakfast was amazing. the only complaint is that check out took longer than usual (staff wasn't present) and we weren't given any bottle of typical vinegar :/"

"The operator of this mansion provided great service by receiving us at the railway. He also sent us off after our check-out. Much appreciated since the mansion is located at the strategic walking street of the ancient town. The mansion is an ancient design house with modern facilities. The room is great. Besides a large TV and large bed, it also has a smart WC and heated shower area. We enjoyed our stay and look forward to future visits."

"The best hotel in Pingyao! Big, beautiful and clean room. Big bathroom with a great shower and a smart toilet! Exactly as in the photos. The hotel staff was amazing, friendly and caring, they made me feel at home will all their hospitality. They picked me up at the railway station when I arrived in the city and where there ready to help with anything I could need."

"Just not perfect because there was no luggage rack, or place to land my luggage other than the floor. The hotel is brand new, spacious, very clean and comfortable. 15 minutes walk from the ancient town gate. The young staff struggled with the English communication, but was very open to support. I’m sure it was the best pick for me!"

"We had a great stay at Yunzeju. All the staff we met were lovely and very helpful. The location is great and the rooms are very comfortable. The surroundings of the guesthouse are beautiful. Included in the price is 1hr Hanford dress up for 1 person for free and a little gift bag given to you when you check out. The breakfast offered for an extra 10yuan per person is very tasty and there is a good amount of choice! We left very early on our last day and the staff arranged a taxi to pick us up outside the guesthouse and he even arrived early. We couldn’t have asked for more from our stay. It was great!"

RRach316I had a truly wonderful stay at this charming courtyard hotel in Pingyao, a perfect 10/10 experience. Although it’s a small property with only about 6–8 rooms, everything about it feels thoughtfully done and beautifully presented. The hotel is newly renovated, with tasteful decorations that blend traditional character with a fresh, comfortable atmosphere. What impressed me the most was the owner. He is incredibly friendly, warm, and genuinely helpful, his service goes far beyond expectations. From the moment I arrived, I felt well taken care of, and his sincerity really made the stay special. Location is superb! The room was spotless, one of the cleanest I’ve experienced. I actually walked around and looked at a few other motels in Pingyao, and I can confidently say this one stands out as the best in terms of cleanliness, comfort, and overall quality. On top of all that, the price is very reasonable for what you get. It’s rare to find a place that offers such great value together with such heartfelt hospitality. Highly, highly recommended , I would definitely stay here again.
