Overall an enjoyable and relaxing one night stay at this tiny cosy hotel in Zhouzhuang, for our final leg of our 6 days Suzhou trip. We took a didi over to Zhouzhuang, which was faster and cheaper than I expected, just a little over half an hour. The hotel staff called me the day before to arrange for pick-up near the watertown ticket office. Actually I can't speak Mandarin and their English wasn't too good but we ended up chatting on Wechat as Wechat has a built-in translate function in their chat. So, 15 minutes before we arrive, we just had to let them know on Wechat. And the staff is already waiting for us, helped us with the luggage and guided us through the ticket buying process. You do have to pay for the ¥100 RMB ticket to get into the watertown and the ticket is good for 3 days. The hotel is about a 10 minute walk from the entrance. I picked this hotel because it was right inside the watertown and it had the ancient Chinese interior, although all the amenities are modern, including a robust and high-tech Kohler smart toilets in each bathroom. There is a nice coffee shop inside the hotel and the coffee shop owner is friendly and takes his coffee craft seriously. The hotel gives you 2 free drinks during your stay and the coffee menu is quite extensive. If the hotel rooms are not booked on that day, we are told the hotel opens their doors to coffee customers. The hotel owner is actually younger than I expected so I am impressed she meticulously created this authentic experience and the attention to detail. She was friendly and helpful and was open to accommodating our needs. We booked the entire 2nd floor, which was 3 bedrooms and we had 6 adults in our group. This tiny hotel only has 3 bedrooms so if you booked all 3 rooms, you pretty much get the entire hotel to yourselves which include the first floor which is spacious and comfy. When I visit Zhouzhuang again, I am looking forward to stay here again. It's certainly not cheap, but you do get what you pay for - which is people passionate about hospitality (in a Chinese way) and also a hygiene and staying experience that is certainly up to international standards.

My family and I totally enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The rooms are spacious and clean and amenities are really good. The service staff are extremely friendly and very helpful. The location is actually very good for tourist because it is very convenient to assess a lot of food and photo taking sceneries. The thing is, it is not exactly easy to find the taxi will only send you to a place nearby and then you would have to figure out how to go to the hotel. There are some rooms on the second level so it might be a bit tiring to climb up the stairs but we were fortunate to get rooms on the ground floor with a courtyard view. Do look out for mosquitoes but there are mosquito repellent provided. Breakfast is also provided, we had noodles and some condiments. Overall I would highly recommend this hotel. I stayed at Suzhou Liuxiang Hotel and booked the Refreshing Double Bed room, which was a very comfortable and pleasant stay. The room was clean, bright, and well maintained, with a comfortable bed and effective air-conditioning which is perfect after a long day of walking around Suzhou. The location is a major highlight, situated between Guanqian Street and Pingjiang Road, making it extremely convenient for shopping, sightseeing, and exploring local food spots. Many attractions and eateries are within walking distance. Check-in and check-out were smooth, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Overall, it offers great value for money and is a solid choice for travelers who want comfort, cleanliness, and a central location in Suzhou.

I had a wonderful stay at Wenlv Gusu Yard Donghuali. It’s more of a charming 民宿 than a traditional hotel, and that’s exactly what makes the experience so special. The service was exceptional. We had very heavy luggages, and the staff immediately offered to help us carry them up the stairs to our rooms. If you order food delivery, the staff will also kindly bring it straight to your room, and they were consistently helpful with any of our requests. They also prepare a healthy and delicious breakfast every morning, which was a lovely way to start the day. The location can be a little inconvenient at first as the 民宿 is tucked deep inside a quiet lane, but once you get oriented, you’ll find that it is actually very close to many popular attractions. We appreciated the balance - peaceful surroundings while still being within walking distance of key sights. Our room was clean, comfortable, and tastefully decorated, with beautiful views of the courtyard. It was the perfect place to unwind after a day of exploring.

Was traveling for holiday with an infant and the receptionist was so kind that she immediately offered to upgrade our room to a bigger one (more baby friendly). Room was clean and spacious enough for us having two big luggage. Plenty of mineral water supplies and surprisingly free supper (congee, fruits, yogurt) from 21:30 onwards. The hotel is about 300m walk from Xiang Men metro line exit 1 and just right opposite the entrance of touristy Ping Jiang lane (but about 1.5km from Suzhou Museum). You can always order food delivery and they will send it up to your room with a robot. Overall, we're satisfied with the stay and would recommend this to anyone else due to its value for money.

Location is very convenient (near pinjiang road, humble administrator garden and guanqian road) the staffs are all very helpful and friendly the room is also very cozy and clean, suitable for famil very recommended

What we liked about the place: - Convenient location; surrounded by happening commercial area and near local attractions - Great service overall - Room design and space was amazing considering the price What were meh: - Really poor soundproofing; could hear lots of loud noises and conversations from outside directly in the room; woke us up a couple times - AC system took a while to figure out, feels like there’s a lag - Because the hotel is in a commercial building itself, most rooms do not get a window; however, how they’ve mitigated this is by having artificial internal windows with a bright mini-garden view which I suppose was a relatively good fix. But can feel a little “tight” Important: The hotel is at the 4th floor of a commercial building, and is a short walk in from the Didi/car drop point. Do not be confused with another “Humble Hotel” opposite the Mercure hotel, contact the hotel for directions.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Suzhou Xunyi Holiday B&B, and I must say it was an incredible experience. From the moment I arrived, I was impressed by the warm hospitality and attention to detail. Comfortable and Clean Rooms: The rooms at Suzhou Xunyi are nothing short of fantastic. They are spacious, well-appointed, and meticulously clean. The comfortable beds and serene ambiance ensured a restful night’s sleep after a long day of exploring. Refreshing Swimming Pool: The outdoor swimming pool is an oasis of tranquility. Crystal clear water, surrounded by lush greenery, provides the perfect escape from everyday stress. Whether you’re doing laps or simply lounging by the pool, it’s a delightful spot to unwind. Breathtaking Views: Suzhou Xunyi’s location is a dream come true for nature enthusiasts. You can choose to climb nearby mountains or simply soak in the stunning views of the serene lake. It’s a paradise for those seeking both relaxation and adventure. Exceptional Hosts: The hosts, whom I had the pleasure of meeting, are truly remarkable. Their passion for hospitality shines through in every aspect of the B&B. They are attentive, friendly, and genuinely care about their guests’ well-being. Affordable Green Tea: I appreciated the thoughtful touch of having green tea available at a fair price. It’s a small detail, but it made my stay even more enjoyable. In summary, Suzhou Xunyi Holiday B&B is a gem. The location is excellent as it is just a stone throw away from Guanqian Street. Plenty of good food (local delicacies) nearby. We enjoyed our stay as the staff was hospitable in checking with us amenities that need to be replenished. However, for the room type that we have chosen (with loft), it is not suitable for people who are above 1.7m height as we knocked on our head every day due to the ceiling structure. It would also be good that if the homestay's shower head water flow could be stronger.

Staying in Mingcheng Suyue was such an excellent experience given the location which was very near to Suzhou tourist spot and railway station. It has many establishment ang restaurant near the area. And very accessible if you are riding Didi. Most of all, all their staff are so friendly, courteous and they even gave us an upgrade room with window plus additional 1 free bottled water which was such a delight to us customers. Super highly recommended and I will surely book to this hotel again if given the chance to go back again in Suzhou.
