"Perfect location with excellent views of the Yulong river. Also within walking distance to one of the bamboo raft docks.
The hotel staff also offered well priced private tours (buggy with driver) which I used on one of the days to sightsee along Yulong River and surrounds e.g. Moon Mountain, Shili Gallery, lunch in one of the villages, cafe spots etc. The friendly receptionist also helped book tickets in advance so I didn't need to line up when I got to Ruyi Peak (just show passport and enter)
Chinese style breakfast was included - hot and delicious noodle soup with egg, fruits, tea. Perfect for a day of exploring!
Highly recommended for travellers!"

"Efter ankomsten till hotellet fick jag en gratis uppgradering till rumstypen. Det finns en sjö utanför rummet. På den första bilden ger hotellpersonalen, särskilt Xiao Zhu i receptionen, mycket bra service.

"These guys are really excellent. As a first time traveller in China without mandarin, things can be pretty hard to navigate, but the team at the reception was really patient and helpful. The room clean, comfortable, quiet and dark; the breakfast was good; the location was super convenient for reaching the markets and river. I’ve been to a few places in China, but this is the first that’s been so good I felt I had to leave a review!

"Very friendly staff. They were extremely helpful advising what to see and do. On arrival we checked into a very large room but unfortunately it was on the ground floor with no privacy. The inn responded promptly to our concern and switched us to the 2nd floor in the main building. We were very grateful for that arrangement."

"This was an outstanding place in the middle of Yang shuo. It was easy to talk to the night street for food,and it was very quiet. I loved my room with huge windows viewing the surrounding mountains. Everything was very clean. The walls are thin so you can hear noisy people, but overall it was a great stay! The staff was helpful and let me check in early. They also helped arrange a ride to Guilin."

Located very close to Longtoushan wharf, it's very easy to get to if you come to Yangshuo via the cruise.
The staff are very helpful, they gave me all the resources I needed during my stay, and were able to be contacted at any point via WeChat.
The room was lovely, a comfortable bed and a fantastic view from the balcony!
I'd definitely recommend the Riverview to anyone staying in Yangshuo.

It’s a bit outside the ancient town, but we actually preferred it that way, especially since they offer electric scooters you can use to ride there yourself. This gives you a lot of freedom. We hiked through the valley and went to the starting point by scooter. You can also simply ride around and enjoy the amazing landscapes on the scooter.
The room itself is lovely; the hotel is brand new and the view is absolutely stunning. If there hadn’t been a small road in front of the hotel, it would have been even more perfect. The staff (we believe it’s a family) run the hotel together, and that really sets it apart from other hotels in town. Breakfast is cooked with vegetables freshly picked from their garden, and you can also enjoy delicious homemade dinners here. With the help of a translation app, communication was smooth, and they also picked us up from and dropped us off at the train station.
Overall, it’s a beautiful, clean, and modern hotel with a warm and welcoming atmosphere thanks to the people. Thanks again!

This was one of our best experiences in China. I would recommend this place to anyone. The villa/farmhouse we stayed in is perfect for big groups. The villa/farmhouse has 5 big bedrooms, each with its own bathroom with a shower and western toilet. The food at the hotel was brilliant! The courtyard in front was lovely in the mornings for breakfast, and the restaurant on the roof was amazing in the evening, looking over the mountains. We loved it, will definitely be back there soon! Thank you for an amazing stay and friendly hospitality.

GGästanvändareThe hotel advertises as having an all-year-round open pool and it's not true. During our stay at the end of April with maximum temperatures above 30°C there was no pool to cool off, and the staff told us it was because it was still too early in the year. This was very disappointing as having a pool was the main reason for our choice of hotel, so I'd say this hotel didn't meet our expectations and they should state this clearly on Trip to avoid future confusion of guests. Other things to improve are the storage space in the rooms (there's barely any room to place suitcases etc) and the soundproofing (we were woken up several days by loud guests at 7am or earlier). On the positive side, the beds were comfortable (average hardness of mattress for westerners standards) and the shower was the best we've had in our whole trip through China: very modern, with good water pressure and no fluctuating temperature. The room thermostat worked really well and the hotel has some nice amenities for guests to use such as tea, massage chairs (a bit worn out but still working) and a vintage game console. The staff helped us with luggage, gave us information and even a small present at the end of our stay, which was a nice touch. The location of the hotel is in a quieter part of town, ideal for sleeping but still close enough to streets with lots of restaurants, cafes etc (try Heytea in west street if you can!).
Overall it's been good value for money, although the hotel could do some clean up/refurbishment work and the pool availability should be advertised accurately.

The breakfast was excellent, and the location was ideal for discovering the beauty of Yangshuo.
As frequent travelers exploring destinations across the globe, we can confidently state that the negative reviews do not reflect the reality of this property. In terms of value for money, it is among the very best we have experienced so far on our 2 year trip — truly, it would be difficult to find anything better than this.
We highly and wholeheartedly recommend this hotel.

LLost_in_the_JungleWe were seeking a peaceful getaway from the city for a few days in the mountains of Yangshuo, and this place really lived up to its name!
The view from our balcony was spectacular, no photo can really capture how the lush green mountains rise up all around you!
Our room was so clean and open and spacious, with lots of drawers and cabinets and places to hang your things. The bed linens were silky soft and comfortable, and the towels are nice, too.
Our room was really so comfortable, that when it was raining we just lazed about in our room, napping on the daybed, watching movies on the big TV, or reading in the bath.
Speaking of the bath, honestly the most epic view from a tub that I have ever experienced!
When it was too hot and humid in the day, we lounged in the crystal blue pool- what a treat to swim in the cool water with the mountains all around you!
When we felt like exploring beyond the village, we were able to rent e-bikes right there for a great price, it was so convenient.
They have a buffet Chinese breakfast in the morning, and the Guilin rice noodle was delish and so authentic. We also loved the homemade soymilk, it was so good, even my husband who doesn't really like soymilk kept drinking it!
We enjoyed the modern zen feel of the hotel, its very calming with water features, and little garden features everywhere.
Most of all, the location of the hotel is really special, you are in the back of an old traditional village, making it sooooo quiet, so peaceful. No noisy tourists to be seen anywhere!!! The staff was friendly and chill and helpful.
But, when we wanted to go out for a treat, we would just walk a few steps into the center of the village where there are some really lovely coffee shops in ancient garden courtyards, and we would eat at one of our favorite restaurants, the Secret Garden Cafe, which has yummy Chinese and Western food.
We can't wait to come back and recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a restful escape from the hustle and bustle.

AAnonym användareThe room is great, sadly I was assigned a room on the second floor so I had to keep the blinds closed or else everyone could see inside my room. I couldn’t get the blinds to close only halfway which was a pity. Enjoyed the free fruits and drinks too. The location is away from the bustle of the town which is what I wanted, except scootering back after dark felt a bit dangerous as the roads had no street lamps. Breakfast was yummy and the soy milk is delicious. The scooter rental lady next door is super friendly and nice as well, giving me recommendations on where to go for sunset and how to avoid tourist traps.

22morrowsworldSplit duplex room near roof. Upper and lower levels separated by a narrow spiral staircase. The The upper floor contains a king bed, air conditioning unit and large balcony.
Balcony opens out to expansive view of Yangshuo town, Xijie and karst topography. Lower floor has a clothes cabinet, tea set and kettle. The bathroom is also on lower section.
Bathroom is equipped with a non slip floor in the shower cubicle that has a partial glass partition. A very secluded unit which sits above the fifth floor restaurant. Perhaps a little inconvenient that toilet/bathroom are separated from bedroom, but pretty good value considering the low tariff (only 120 RMB per night).

瓦瓦拉瓦拉Vacker privat antik herrgård med fantastisk panoramautsikt över Yulongfloden från varje fönster. Ganska trevligt att sova där. De erbjuder också gratis cyklar för att cykla till 10 landskapsvägar och jag beställde Taiji-kurs för 150 RMB från deras katalog, gillade det verkligen, Louisa är en fantastisk lärare. Hotellets restaurang finns med i den kinesiska rekommendationsappen Dianping, har viktiga rätter om området och en meny med västerländsk mat. Sist men inte minst, receptionen talar perfekt engelska, även om de flesta resenärer försöker använda vår speciella information för de som lärt sig grundläggande kinesiska.
