We stayed at Mount Royal Hotel in Edinburgh for 4 nights. The rooms are small but clean, and our room had a stunning view of the Scott Monument—definitely a highlight! The bathroom was quite compact as well, and the beds weren’t very soft, but for the price, the location is unbeatable. Just a 5-minute walk to charming bakeries like The Milkman, and so convenient for exploring the city. The staff were incredibly sweet and polite, making our stay even more enjoyable. Don’t miss the view from the bar near the reception—it’s gorgeous!

This hotel is not only near Calton hill and Edinburgh castle,but also on the back of Princess street,very quiet.I accidentally dropped my passport there,they found and kept it for me till I went back,very thoughtful of them.

Att åka till Edinburgh under vårfestivalen är generellt sett mer kostnadseffektivt än London. Jag rekommenderar Ibis för en kortare vistelse. ✅ Läget är bekvämt, bara en kort promenad till Castle Calton Hill, en U-sväng till Princes Street och 6 minuters promenad till tågstationen. ✅ Landskapet på sidan som vetter mot den gamla gatan är verkligen fantastiskt ✅ Frukosten är ganska utsökt, inklusive dubbelfrukost är mycket bra valuta för pengarna ✅ Högkostnadsprestanda, mindre än 800 RMB/natt inklusive två frukostar under vårfestivalen, mycket bra jämfört med andra ❌ Det finns ingen radiator, så att förlita sig på luftkonditionering för uppvärmning är inte särskilt effektivt. ⚠️ Om det överstiger 1K/natt tror jag att det inte finns något behov av att välja den här...

Stayed at St Christopher’s Hostel, Edinburgh for a night and it was a good budget choice. The location is excellent, right in the city centre and close to the Old Town and main attractions. Check-in was easy and the staff were friendly and helpful. The dorm was basic but comfortable enough for a short stay. It can get a bit noisy, so earplugs help. Bathrooms and common areas were generally clean considering how busy it is. Overall, it’s a social, well-located hostel—great for meeting people and exploring the city, but not ideal if you want total quiet. Perfect for a short stay in Edinburgh.

Läget är mycket bra Det tar cirka 20 minuter att gå till Edinburghs centrum inklusive de flesta attraktioner. Lokalerna är mycket nya, den sanitära miljön är bra och personalen i receptionen är mycket entusiastisk Den enda bristen är att rummets utrymme är väldigt begränsat, och det finns ingen telefon i rummet för att ringa receptionen. Alla ärenden måste köras ner till receptionen.

Since we booked the room very early, I'm not sure if it was a mistake on my part or the hotel's part. My friend and I had booked a room with two beds, but the rooms in the pictures all had two beds for one person! When we checked in and went to the room, we saw that it was just a big bed, so we immediately went to the front desk to express this situation. After just ten minutes, they changed the room for us to a room with two beds! Thank you for your active assistance! gratitude!

Location: Very conveniently located right across a couple of bus stops and also a few steps away from Ocean Terminal tram stop. The Oean Terminal has a few well known brand outlets which we did not visit but if you have nothing else to do, it could be a nice way to spend your time. Also the Royal Britannia Yacht is right there. Cleanliness and facilities: just as expected from IHG, very clean and also the facilities that we wanted: luggage storage, a simple bar/ restaurant and hot breakfast. Nothing extraordinary but absolutely essential. Note: scrambled eggs could be better. Service: OK, as expected. We had already sent a note saying we were going to arrive between 1 AM and 1:30 AM, and when we came to the reception around 1:15 AM, they promptly delivered the keys and on the inside of the card was written ”no show”. Which means the reception doing the night shift never saw our note and had already marked us as possible ”no show”. It did not hurt us, but I did not like the fact they never read our note, it shows the impersonal nature of their service. Therefore I deducted one star. Note: The cranberry tea is a nice selection. It helped my headache. Thanks.

The customer service is super great, the room location is awesome with the nice view from outside. Very convenient to take bus and train just right outside the hotel!!! That’s is so so so convenient for me and my friend .

位置100分，設施及清潔也可以接受。最大問題是晚上11點後十分嘈吵。因為附近有的士高，由11pm到3:00am飲醉酒人在街上不停大聲說話。房間玻璃不是雙層隔音玻璃，所以如同自己在街上一樣。早上六時垃圾車倒垃圾十分嘈吵。基本上如果不是第一晚太嘈只睡了兩個鐘，第二天晚上絕對沒可能睡到。 酒店提供耳塞，但完全沒有作用。希望他們能把窗轉做隔音玻璃。 The location is excellent, and the facilities and cleanliness are acceptable. The biggest issue is the excessive noise after 11 PM. The nearby disco and nightclub open til 3:00am. from 11 PM to 3 AM, with drunk people talking loudly on the street. The room windows are not double-glazed, so it feels as if you are right on the street. At 6 AM, the garbage truck adds to the noise while collecting trash. Basically, if I hadn’t only slept for two hours due to the noise on the first night, there would have been no way to sleep at all on the second night. The hotel provides earplugs, but they are completely ineffective. I hope they can replace the windows with soundproof glass.

Detta är en ganska nedslående vistelse. Jag hoppas att vi kan få en ordentlig kompensation. 1. Badrummet har inga grundläggande toalettartiklar, inte ens handtvål. Vi var tvungna att gå ner till receptionen för att fråga och fick handkräm och berättade att det fungerar som handtvål?!? 2. Frukosten är inte klar kl. 07.00. Frukost är tänkt att serveras från 7 - 10 am. Den första morgonen var frukosten inte komplett eftersom kocken kom till jobbet sent. (Bilden visar vad som var tillgängligt för gästerna). Vi var tvungna att gå för att hinna med vår dagstursbuss så vi åt knappt någonting. Nästa dag serverades ingen frukost eftersom det fanns problem med gas. 3. Rumsstädning var inte komplett. Rumsstädning gjorde bara sängarna och fräschade upp handdukarna. Papperskorgen tömdes inte och toalettpappren fylldes inte på.
