"Great location very close to Central Station.
Would recommend it as it's situated in a relatively quiet part of the city not sure what it would be like if a footie game is on as stadium is quite close by
We booked two double standard rooms and both were clean, had ironing boards, tea and coffee, shampoo, shower gel and handwash but that was it. TV and hairdryer also.
Staff are very friendly and welcoming - the guy who was checked us in was very friendly and professional and I can't recall his name but he wore glasses..
Buffet breakfast was sufficient -it's as good as it comes for Holiday Inn. I would come stay here again."

"An amazing stay at Hampton by Hilton Newcastle! The location is unbeatable—just 2-minute walk from Newcastle Central Station, and only 10 minutes to Quayside and St. James’ Park, super convenient for travel and sightseeing.
The free hot breakfast was fantastic, with fresh waffles, classic English breakfast and even porridge, perfect for all tastes. The room was clean, quiet and cozy, with a comfy bed, ergonomic work desk and free high-speed WiFi, ideal for both leisure and business trips.
24-hour front desk offered great service with luggage storage, and the 24-hour gym with Peloton bikes was a nice bonus."

"The hotel is located next to Newcastle Central station minutes from the Cathedral, the Castle, the centre of the city near Monument. The hotel entrance has a faded grandeur that isn't intimidating, more comfortably worn. The room was cosy with bathtub and shower. The WiFi was a little temperamental but works fine. A plus for me was the pool and spa facilities at the hotel. Nothing better than a swim to start the day. Excellent location and good value hotel."

"Hotel is right next to the airport so extremely convenient. The decor was pretty dated and the window seal needed some maintenance (left a half-cm gap so a permanent draft) but the room was clean, the bed comfortable, and the tea mugs a nice large size.
I'd stay again if needed as frankly the other factors outweigh the decor for me."

"It wasn't the best of experiences and I believe had we addressed some of the issues we came across sooner, things would have been different. There was a poignant smell in our bathroom and in all fairness we should have mentioned it sooner rather than expecting it to disappear on its own. When we did address it, we were moved into a different room instantly. The rooms could do with a bit more cleaning when it came to dust and hair in various areas. Will still recommend it."

"We stayed in a room overlooking the roadway and (I think) our room's double glazing was compromised as we could clearly hear the noise of every passing car - some which were boy racers with high revs. We complained to reception (as they asked how our night had been) and they apologised. Wether they reported it I don't know."

"The location is very good - a short walk from train station
Food: I had breakfast included in my package but I am NOT very happy with the choices in the SMALL buffet they presented. Very limited choices, waste of money .
Rooms: the rooms are very SMALL and not expected for this hotel brand.
Apparently I was confused with the word FLEX , which is a budget standard hotel. They charge £2.50 for dental kit… what a joke!
Reception staff: Friendly staff and welcoming- no problem there.
Missing basic amenities, which does NOT really cost them a lot, leaves negative impression on the hotel.
Overall impression: Not very happy and wound NOT recommend if you are looking for decent stay with luxury, bearing in mind, the prices i was charged are NOT cheap…"

Very impressed with everything. Much better than I thought it would be due to being advertised as a hostel. Food was also really nice and staff very helpful.
Bit difficult to find if walking from train station however once you find it, its easy to get your bearings and a pretty ideal location for city centre and shops. Definately recommend!

Very good hotel with very kind staff, everything was clean. Staff provided everything. They also have free hot water on the first floor, people can make a hot tea or coffee there. And there is also bar with snacks and cold drinks. Only thing that can be improved is bathroom, I think there should be separate bathroom for each room. I think it is not related to each room, but only for very affordable rooms. Overall, it is good hotel and I recommend it.

The Hotel’s location is very close to The Newcastle International Airport and the Metro. Just a few minutes walk can be reached. Clean with sufficient lighting is good. The bed’s quality is a bit soft and old. If it is changed, it will be better.

Good location with free parking and about a 15-minute walk to the city centre. The price is reasonable and includes a breakfast box for each guest.
The experience could have been better if the room facilities were maintained and cleaned to a higher standard.

I booked this for my Grandaughter and I to attend an appointment in Newcastle at 1.30pm and also a concert in the evening at the arena.
Arriving well before check in at 3pm, the receptionist kindly allowed us to park in the hotel car park thus enabling us not to have to move the car from the metro station opposite later. This was a great help- thankyou.
We checked in after our appointment and got our key for room 23. It was nice and cosy with the heating on and extremely clean.
I did struggle to turn off the cold tap fully in the bathroom but my Grandaughter sorted it...maybe needs some attention from a professional.
After getting changed, we headed back up town on the metro where we enjoyed seeing Rick Astley.
It was quite late when we returned hungry but the hotel was fine with us ordering a McDonald's delivery from Kingston Park. All in all with breakfast included in the price, we had a super time. Cheers!

On the day of check in I arrived early because I had an early train and I had nowhere to go, it was rainy and cold. It was nice that people answered the bell and collected my luggage, but they didn't let me stay on the common area because it was early, so don't count with early check in even if you contact them previously or you can pay £25 for it, no flexibility at all.
The cleaning was fantastic and amazing no-smoking area, really rare in the UK, most places people don't respect the law. Lovely common area with complimentary coffee, tea, milk, biscuits, bread, fruits, etc. The staff is very kind and concerned to provide the best!
I had an extra heater in the room that was really useful as it was freezing cold.

Great location, nice little room, it's listed as an apartment but I wouldn't say it's big enough to be considered one. My only problem with the room was the cleanliness, the walls and floors had a lot of marks and dirt, same with the curtains. It made the trip slightly less comfortable. It could have also done with Aircon as it was very warm.
To sum up -
Pros - Great location, comfortable bed, mini kitchen with kettle, fridge and tea & coffee provided. Even some biscuits too. The price was great for a Saturday night during a big Newcastle event we spent £55 which was way cheaper than most other hotels in the area.
Cons - wasn't very clean and the check in was a little awkward as our keys wouldn't work. If this was improved my rating would be a lot higher.
