"Probably the best hostel I've ever stayed in. Proper comfortable pod beds with curtains, towels provided, shower and bathroom well-equipped, good storage. Water dispensers outside rooms, nice bar, great rooftop view. The only mark against the stay was that the bathroom door lock didn't work and wasn't fixed after reported. Nevertheless, everything else was perfect. If only every hostel could be like this. Not too expensive either!"

"Hotel itself is decent, i expected a bit more for the price. It is fairly clean and cozy, but very basic. Shower has no sliding door or curtain, so the floor is covered in water after every shower. One morning there was no hot water. Also, there noise coming from the pipes is extremely loud. Everytime the upstairs floors flushed the toilet, it sounded like a bunch of rocks being dropped down the pipes, and it woke me up in the mornings.
Service was okay, friendly and extremely fast check-in/out.
The main issue is the location. Although it is near a central spot, and good walking distance from many attractions, but the street itself is a disaster. There are homeless ************ outside directly in front of the hotel, ***** ***** all night. It is definitely not safe to walk alone at night. If safety is a concern, i cannot recommend staying at this hotel.
Besides that, the stay itself is fairly comfortable."

"The hotel was really nice and right on the main road close to two metro stations at very walkable distance. They provided me with 7th floor road facing balcony room on request which was perfect for me. The room was clean with a fridge and a smart tv. There was issue with wifi on the first 2 days but they provided with a greek sim for use. The breakfast with a view was plentiful though they exactly close at 10am but you can sit with your stuffs longer and enjoy the food. They even provided all sorts of toiletteries including lotion. For the discounted price I paid, the stay was beyond expectation. The ac in the room worked great. The bed was comfortable. I personally did not face any safety issues coming back to the hotel even at 10.30pm."

"Även om det inte är super centralt, ligger hotellet väl inom gångavstånd från tunnelbanestationen och promenadavstånd till platser som Monastiraki-torget. Rummet skulle vara bra för en arbetsplats eftersom de har en hylla tvärs över fönstret som du kan sitta vid. Sammantaget njöt jag av min vistelse här!"

GGästanvändareThis was a great stay for us and our family. The hotel is conveniently located near many popular sights and eateries in Athens and most were within a 10-20 minute walk. The nearby Monastiraki metro station made it easy to get to and from the airport as well.
The rooms are nicely appointed with a couple of chairs, work station, coffee/tea station, closet, mini fridge and TV. The beds were small but comfy enough. Our family had a 2 and 3 bed rooms and we found the 2 bed room was a lot more spacious. The bathrooms in both were small but we appreciated that the hot water came on quickly and there was a small window for ventilation. Our room was quiet at night but our family noted street noise on the lower floors. The elevators were often tricky to catch as they are small but we appreciated it when we didn't feel like the climb to the sixth floor.
The amenities at the hotel were good for the price. The roof top patio and bar area was a highlight and we enjoyed a couple of afternoons up here watching the sun set and the lights turn on at the Acropolis. The prices of the bar were inexpensive and they had a good variety of options. There was a sitting room that had tea and coffee midday and they kept it open in the evening so we were able to sit together and talk. They had laundry service, baggage storage and could help arrange tours or car hires as well at the front desk with their friendly and welcoming staff.
The breakfast at this hotel was very good for the price. They had something for everyone and lots of place to sit. Highlights for us were the Greek yoghurt and the spinach and feta stuffed pastries. They also had mini sausages, bacon, scrambled eggs, feta cheese, cucumber, tomatoes, breads, baklava, croissants, dried fruits, fresh fruits, juices and a coffee machine. We looked forward to breakfast each morning.
The hotel provided a good base for exploring and was centrally located. We would say if you're looking to save money and have a good breakfast to start your day in Athens this hotel is a good choice.

It is right on Monastiaki square where you can take the metro to and from the airport making it easy to get to! You can also use theirs to get around Athens! Low cost and easy to use!
You can see the Acropolis right from the square! There are also lots of lovely restaurants and coffee shops around this area too!
On arriving at the hotel the reception staff were very warm and welcoming. They helped me to arrange transportations and offered to prepare a takeaway breakfast bag for my early check out which was very kind!
The room itself was quite large and clean with all of the amenities that you may need. The shower was hot which was good! The downside to the room is that it is very noisy from the outside due to it being on the square. It can get busy at nighttime, however I did expect this due to its location. I came prepared and brought earplugs to sleep in which did the trick!
The breakfast is served in the rooftop bar. Plenty of choice and delicious pastries each day. Hot and cold options available which was nice! The views from here are amazing! You can sell all around you and have a view of the Acropolis as you enjoy your breakfast! Wow!

YYee11We stayed one night at Alekos Apartments 2 and had a pleasant and comfortable experience. The apartment was modern, very clean, and well-equipped — it even had a small kitchenette for simple cooking and Netflix for a relaxing night in.
Although there’s a front desk, the office hours are limited, but not to worry — the owner is super responsive and helpful via WhatsApp. He even helped us arrange transport from the airport to the property at a reasonable fee, which made arrival really convenient.
The self check-in process was smooth and well explained. The apartment felt safe, cozy, and had everything we needed for a short stay. Location-wise, it’s within walking distance to metro stations, making it easy to get to the city centre.
Overall, a great value stay in Athens — clean, modern, and hosted by someone who truly cares about guests’ comfort. Would happily stay again!

Shaded glass door for bathroom instead of real door if that sort of thing bothers you. Good breakfast. Nice location close to Acropolis. Beautiful Greek Orthodox Church a few blocks away that was a pleasant surprise for exploring. Girl at the front desk (I forget her name) was extremely helpful and friendly. Easy check-in/check-out process.

Mmarian8iaFirst of all shout out to the cleaning ladies they did a great job cleaning my room everyday and I know their work is pretty hard. Second the people at the reception are lovely and kind, very helpful when asking questions and very nice to talk to. The room was even bigger than the pictures I loved it and felt so comfortable. Also nice that they have Netflix!!!
Pame wild will be my go to hotel when I visit Athens again!!

GGästanvändareGreat location as all main tourist sites (including Kerameikos and Filopappou Hill) were walkable - also outside the main tourist area, which was a plus. Roof terrace also pleasant at the end of the day.
Hotel facilities are limited: WiFi, internet tv only (on mine you had to log in with your own details), aircon, tea/coffee, free bottled water. Cold breakfast option (set price of €10 - not €8 as shown on the website). Airport pick-up is now also €50 (more than shown currently on website).
Rooms modern but.mine was starting to look slightly tired. In theory it was a ‘suite’ suitable for four (two small rooms) but this would have been extremely cramped, particularly as each room had only a ‘space saver’ type wardrobe ie. wardrobe rail coming out from the wall with a mirror in front and no other storage and a sofa bed in the ‘living room’.
Despite the website description of each room with (only) a power shower, mine had a shower over the bath.
Service was average: front desk tried to be helpful but local knowledge was lacking. Bed was made each day, but tea/coffee/water were not refreshed and used glasses and mugs were not cleaned. Despite this, towels WERE refreshed daily and there was no option (card or other mechanism) to get this stopped. I was surprised: it seems that saving water and energy had passed the hotel by entirely.
In conclusion: compared to other prices and areas of Athens I paid a reasonable amount, but given the reviews had expected more from the hotel, although I couldn’t honestly say that it was bad, just ‘average’.

GGästanvändareFörst och främst bör tjejer inte boka detta hotell för en ensamresa. Detta hotell ligger på en sidogata. På natten finns det många män på den här gatan, och de är alla färgade. Det känns som att resa till Afrika. När jag kom tillbaka till hotellet i går kväll, så fort jag kom in i den här gränden, såg jag en hemlös man ta av sig byxorna och sitta på gatan och smeka sig över låren. Jag trodde undermedvetet att han gav sig själv en injektion. Jag vågade inte titta noga och gick bara. I morse tog jag ett tidigt flyg och såg en annan hemlös flicka smeka hennes lår vid sidan av vägen. De hemlösa här har en söt besatthet av ben. Hotellet i sig utgör inga säkerhetsrisker, men dess faciliteter utstrålar ändå förra seklets glans. Vänner som har en begränsad budget och reser med vänner kan välja denna restaurang, men tjejer som reser ensamma bör vara försiktiga! ! ! PPuay Teck OngThe exterior of the hotel look inviting; however when we walked through the front door you can feel the heavy curtain around the lobby have not been clean for long time. All the sofa in the lobby are covered with some sort of clothes I guess it is to cover the old and uninviting sight. The check in process was straight forward and friendly.
None of the light on the stairs are working and I had to use the flash light on my phone to light a path up and down the stairs, could be dangerous if you need to evacuate the hotel quickly.
The room door has key card slot but I guess it is broken as I needed a physical key to unlock the room door and a keycard to turn on the electricity, the room size is good and high ceiling. The bathroom has no hook for the handheld shower head so not so convenient to have a shower, the water also not always hot enough.
The air conditioner was blowing warm air even though the dial was set to cold and it made the room so more warmer and uncomfortable to sleep. The hotel reviews seem to suggest this is one of the common issue people has been complaining about for more than 10 years!!!! I ended up open all the windows to cool the room down and this invited traffic noise all night long.
The hotel has been neglected for way too many years and surprisingly still in business????
