"The service was generally good, except for an issue we experienced with a staff member named Peter. Despite having a prepaid and pre-booked stay, we were threatened with cancellation because we requested to check in at 9:30 pm after receiving no response from the property. The automatic door was locked, there was no one at the check-in desk, and we had to ask another staff member to direct us to someone who could assist. Peter eventually came to help, stating he was doing so out of his busy schedule. I expressed that we would prefer to be checked in by the staff member assigned to that role, at which point he stated he would cancel our booking. When we asked on what grounds, he said he was the manager. It was an unusual and uncomfortable interaction, especially given that we were simply trying to check in to a stay we had already paid for."

"The bed is comfortable, the room is clean.
One thing I have to mentioned since my flight is delayed, the hotel not agree to change and cancel, it’s ok for me, I told them I will check in like very early in the morning, when I arrived the reception seems they don’t know and it takes me 10-15 mins for check in and I was with my child she is very tired at that moment.
They are so strict 11am for check out time if late they gonna charge how much like 20 euro. Omg I checked in at 8:30am in the morning and take a rest , 1 hr and half they need me to leave !!!!!!!! Compare to another hotel I think they must offer you a late check out for the guest won’t be that MEAN !!!!!!!!! I was SO disappointed and I won’t choose this hotel for my next trip in Dublin."

"Overall experience was good. Rooms were a little small and compact, but it seems to be the common theme in Dublin. The sheets on our bed had some stains and hair on it, which was a bit of a turn off, and the bed was not too comfortable to sleep on as well. Room amenities are pretty much bare bones. Check in experience was pleasant, as we arrived early and our room was ready. The lobby and bar look fantastic, and the hotel is centrally located. Thank you to the front desk staff for allowing us to check in early for our stay."

"Efficient and helpful staff at the checkin counter as well at the entrance desk. Concierge area is so beautifully decorated and looks warm and cozy.
The location of the hotel is fantastic. It is within walking distance to the bus stops of Dublin Express. Right in the city centre, walking distance to the river and plenty of food choices. The horse carriages often pass by the road in front of the hotel.
If I ever visit Dublin again, I will book this hotel again."

"We stayed here for a few days and really enjoyed the location — just a 12-minute walk to the Guinness Museum and only 2 minutes to the nearest supermarket. The area is lovely and quiet, with huge halls since it’s a student apartment-style building.
The room itself was clean but a bit tight for two people. It would be great if the hotel provided free adapters — something to keep in mind when packing!
Staff were super friendly and helpful throughout our stay. We ordered dinner via Uber Eats and had a great time eating in the large shared kitchen/dining room on our floor.
Overall, a pleasant and convenient stay!"

"Apart from excellent location, the service rendered by the staffs was impeccable. I wld like to specially highlight a few names namely Emily and Anna from Front Desk, both were patient, friendly and cheerful and always going out of their way to help with any queries we have. Another person is Ms Marcello from F&B who is amicable and always chatting with us during our breakfast. Last but no least, Samson and his brother, both from Security team who are always ready to assist with older guests who had problems lifting their luggages up the flight of steps to the lift landing. Overall we stayed 8 nights and it has been an amazingly awesome experience that made us feel very welcomed. Kudos to the team for their warm hospitality and bringing the Holiday Inn Express brand to a higher level. Keep up your excellent work. Cheers!"

Please note photos were taken as we were leaving - so the mess is ours - the room was immaculate when we arrived!!"

Excellent location, warm-hearted owners, clean, great breakfast, highly convenient eateries and grocery store within 100-300m walk. Easily accessible from airport by Bus #16 or 41 (loading bay at Zone 15, outside Terminal 1, direct, 14 bus stops). As the digital board and announcement in the bus is rather confusing, the best is to request the bus driver to inform you to get off at ”Shanvarna Road Est, stop 231”. Try to buy a Standard Leap Card from Terminal 1 Convenient Store for €10 (€5 deposit included), if not available, a Leap Card for single ride can be purchased at €2.60 or simply pay at bus with €2.60 coins. Upon checking in, walk 500m from B&B to Maxol Service Station Swords Road to purchase the Standard Leap Card, your single ride will then cost €2 only with free transfers within 90 minutes. Buses to downtown Dublin (14-17 stops) or other counties nearby are also available from the same bus stop across the road of the B&B. Returning from downtown will drop you off at the bus stop right in front of the B&B. The Comet (a local pub) and Centra Santry Village grocery store are within 100-200m walk from B&B, a pizza/burger take away and a Chinese Takeway are also available across the road. Owners are kind and friendly. Would recommend this B&B to everyone visiting Dublin especially solo traveler depending on public transport and prefers quiet places out of downtown.

Jag blev imponerad av det vänliga välkomnande jag fick i receptionen. Även om jag visste att jag inte kunde boka in mig förrän klockan 14.00, gick jag dit tidigt i hopp om att de skulle ta hand om mitt ärende. De gör inte bara detta utan extra kostnad, utan jag fick också komma in på mitt rum klockan 11.30 eftersom det hade blivit utrymt.
Hotellet har ett utmärkt läge för sightseeing, då Christchurch och St Patrick's Cathedral ligger inom 5 minuters promenad, och Dublin Castle och Esther Beatty-utställningen, som inte får missas, ligger precis runt hörnet.
Rumsfaciliteterna var utmärkta med luftkonditionering, kylskåp, kassaskåp, kaffe- och tekokare, strykjärn och hårtork och naturligtvis konstant varmt vatten för duschen.
Nedervåningen fanns en restaurang och bar med musik på kvällen, som slutade vid en rimlig tidpunkt. Frukost serverades också på morgonen, enkel men tillräcklig.
Det var väl värt priset helt enkelt på grund av läget.

Such a gem of a place! Great location, very close and walkable to points of attraction yet not too close that you can still get a quiet night’s rest. It was also close to the car rental location making it a great place to start the trip.
Arrived Dublin airport early in the morning after a 16hour flight, we initially thought of just dropping the luggage and just roam around while waiting to check in.
Was so tired so we tried our luck and called ahead and asked if we could do an early check in, so we could at least freshen up. Lo and behold, they made it happen as the room was ready for us when we reached the hotel.
Truly thankful! The simple gesture allowed us to enjoy more of Dublin in the time we had.
Great service also at breakfast with a good spread and very helpful staff. Would definitely stay here again! 👍🏼

Really happy with this hotel. Booked it last minute when I was late for my ferry and did not want to travel during the night.
The room was really clean and tidy. Receptionist Mauricio (?) was very pleasant and helpful. As I was not planning to stay in Dublin overnight, I had no toothbrush. I did not think that Travelodge can provide one, but there is no shame in asking. Hooray! I got a disposable dental kit, that really made my stay much more comfortable.
The hotel has a bar and a restaurant, it does look much more posh that an average travelodge. I wanted some ice for my drink at the room. Got a glass full of ice at the bar with no problem.
The only downside could be if you are a couple and travelling with 2 or more large suitcases. The room is on a smaller side.
Very happy with my last minute decision to stay at this hotel.

Academy Plaza Hotel is quite convenient since it is located in the center of the city and the transportation is within distance.
It has the direct airport bus to come and go, where the stop is just a few minutes walking away. It is also close to the meeting points where most local tours park their buses and pick up tourists. So if you are planning to join local tours, this hotel should be on your list coz it is easy for a traveller to find the hop on point and also saves your time.
Since it is in the heart of Dublin, you can just Google the destination you wanna visit and walk towards it with your mobile phone. It will be a solo city walk.
Meantime, the staff here shows Irish hospitality and the coffee at Academy Cafe is so good.
It is an ideal choice for people travelling alone.

The Hendrick is a great spot to stay for only a night or two passing through Dublin but like many hotels in Dublin now, it's more or less a glorified hostel.
The room setup was a double bed and a bunk for three people yet it was so small we could hardly find room to unzip 2 small carry-on suitcases and organize our clothes. There's no space for a dresser or even small drawer, no fridge and there are no hooks whatsoever to hang anything. With three people in this room it felt VERY cramped, hardly any space to move in the short space of a ”hallway.”
For what you pay, it's disappointing that breakfast isn't included either. Again, Dublin hotels are out of control at the moment so it's not a horrible deal.
The STAFF is entirely lovely and helpful and it was very clean as well. Thank you!
But for a longer trip, find yourself a larger space.

Adequate place to stay at the right price. Upgraded from an 8-bed to 6-bed and check in via kiosk was relatively straightforward. The hostel itself is quite sizeable and the hallways can be easy to get lost in. We found the service from staff to be hit or miss, with many staff being friendly and accommodating while one staff member was exceptionally rude and abrupt with us and other guests too (despite having no complaint, just a simple request).

This is a standard breakfast and board accommodation rather than a hotel per se. The location is centrally located in the city and the main attractions are within walking distance. The room is clean and comfortable however the hotel is in the city centre so if your room is in the basement section of the hotel as I was, it can be a little noisy with passersby however it was not a huge problem for me and slept quite well.
Breakfast was reasonable and the staff are quite friendly. Overall, suitable for few nights stay
