"I was welcomed by the grandpa who happened to be ********* so we could chat every night. He provided me with many recommendations regarding the activities and restaurants nearby. He even brought me by car to the starting point of one of the trails in Aso park!
There were fruits and many kind of snacks, the room was super clean and comfortable (the only drawback is that it’s slightly pricey).
Miyaji is not exactly next to Aso station but you can borrow a bike from the guesthouse, it’s ~20 min away, or take the train (1/h) or a bus (the owner has the timetable). The advantage of miyaji is that it’s closer to Aso « downtown » where you have many restaurants and the shrine (but many of them are closed at night)"

"Beautiful hotel with Mountain Views. The hotel looks spectacular and is very clean. The room is very spacious. Location is perfect as it shares the same building as the mall. You can use the lift which brings you directly to the mall. The mall has shops like Uniqlo, ABC Mart and many more, including a food court with various food options. There are 3 washing machines in both the male & female public onsen area, however it is pretty difficult to get a chance to wash your clothes. The hotel seems like a popular wedding venue, however it does not disrupt the stay as the guests do not seem to linger in the lobby at all. There’s a Nescafé coffee machine which you can help yourself to outside the public onsen, along with Kumamoto’s fresh spring water tap for drinking. For parking, please avoid the carpark infront of the mall as it is expensive. If you’re facing the mall, the hotel’s carpark is at the left side basement of the mall. The hotel provides a discounted price at off-peak periods. It’s best to leave your hotel before 12 noon. It is paid parking and there’s a ticket machine at the basement entrance of the hotel. The hotel location is perfect as it is also very close to a station."

"We had a great stay at Kamenoi Hotel Aso Park. We booked a room in the South Building, which was spacious,clean, and had a large, comfortable bed. The hotel provides yukata robes in various colors, which was a lovely touch for guests to enjoy the onsen experience.
♨️ The onsen was large and relaxing — perfect after a day of exploring Aso.
🚗 Parking was very convenient, located right next to the hotel. Just across the parking area, there’s a 24-hour convenience store called Obentou Hirai offering ready-made bentos, hot meals, ramen, and udon — extremely convenient for late-night snacks or quick meals.
🍱 We chose a room-only package without meals, and in the morning, we visited the local souvenir and food center at Aso Station. It had a great selection of local foods and breakfast options, plus plenty of gifts and souvenirs to bring home.
Overall, a comfortable stay with everything we needed nearby. Highly recommended if you’re exploring the Aso area!"

"Like the onsen in the hotel; onsen water is good and big enough for 6-7 person to use. Japanese breakfast served by staff was quite substantial and tasty.
The room that we stayed is quiet and faces mountain and park. Bathroom a little small but clean. There wasn’t any wardrobe but there were hooks on the wall and hangers were provided."

"高評価だったのでとても楽しみにしていたのですが、夜ご飯も物足りなくて、朝ごはんもちょっと残念でした。
おかずも似たりよったりで、煮物系が多かったです。*などもあったら良かったと思いました。
食事処が掘りこたつでしたが、温度が入っていなくて寒かったです。
平日だったのでお得に泊まれたとは思ったのですが、金額も1人25000円以上になったので、その金額を出すのならばもう少し満足度が欲しかったですね。
本当に期待していたので、辛口のコメントですみません。
お部屋のお風呂は良かったので、料理をもう少し。。。と思いました。"

Stay surrounded by the majestic great outdoors of Aso! BBQ without needing to bring anything!
"Very beautiful place, and the room was truly excellent: spacious, bright, warm, with impeccable bedding and cleanliness.
The bathroom is large and includes a bathtub, and the room is very well equipped (electric kettle, small kitchen, large refrigerator).
It was also possible to arrange horseback riding and get onsen tickets, which is a real plus.
However, for backpackers, this accommodation is not ideal at all. It is very far from everything:
– FamilyMart: about a 27-minute walk
– Bus stop: about a 21-minute walk
– Mount Aso Museum: around 1h15 total (including 20 minutes on foot)
– Aso Station: about a 1h15 walk
A small anecdote: we first climbed up to the accommodation carrying our 10 kg backpacks, only to see on the door that check-in is actually done at the bottom. It would be helpful to indicate this more clearly downstairs, or at least make it easier to notice for foreign travelers, as we missed the information 😅
Finally, for those planning to walk to the Aso Museum or hiking areas, the path indicated at the end of the residential area near the accommodation does not exist."

"Rooms were large, walls seemed soundproof, had a public bath that operated from 530 to 9am and then from 3pm till late. Breakfast and dinner buffet had a spread, but were the same items for the two consecutive nights we stayed."

"Better to rent a car to get there, so convenience is not somebody who books this place should look for.
For relaxing purpose, this is a nice area with lots of green, the down side is it is next to a golf course, so there were sounds of tree-cutting and a bunch of golfers practicing their putts on the practice putting green next to the site for trailers. I am not a big fan of that.
Service is closed to non-existent, there were staffs who helped checking us in, they were friendly and did their job explaining all the essential functions of the trailer. They had to use the translator machine to communicate, they were very patient. I can't rate the service too high because after checking in we were pretty much on our own. So not something you should look for if service is a top priority.
Best part is there is an onsen next to the site that offers family bath, that's memorable."

GGästanvändare在阿蘇寧靜山區中的高級傳統溫泉旅館，不可能期望會有鐵路或公共交通工具直達吧！只適合自駕遊的人士，去最近的便利店駕車4分鐘就到。
服務好得不能再要求更多，非常有善，服務員能用簡單英文溝通。早晚餐都很美味，在獨立房間內進食。原本有和牛跟馬刺身，但由於我們都不吃，check-in 時說明，服務員都很努力幫我們跟廚師溝通改為鴨肉跟生魚片。
房間非常大，電視是大尺寸的Sony 近年新款的智能電視，Wifi 穩定，可以待在房間泡溫泉、躺在沙發耍廢看YouTube，不怕晚上沒事做。
整間飯店只得7間房，所以住客不多。房間已有獨立泡湯，晚上還可以用大浴場（有室內和室外） 再任用5間獨立湯屋，泡得非常爽！
下次如有機會經過阿蘇做中途站，一定會再來！

GGästanvändareThis might be one of the best accommodations I've ever stayed in. And I travel a lot. I am impressed with every bit of the house since the minute I saw the house from outside, to stepping inside. This house has all amenities you could ask for and everything is very tidy and organized. The location is good to it is right in the middle of the countryside, you will need a car to get here but it was all worth it. We walked down the rice field and found the stream which I and my daughter enjoyed.
