Amenities: all restaurant are around the hotel , all facial products , pyjamas and even can choose own pillow from the hotel lobby
Service : free breakfast from hotel, check In procedure is smooth and easy. All doors are pin locked . The staff service is superb. Room is big for solo traveler , and onsen is public bath and it’s so great!

If you want to visit hells of Beppu, you may purchase one day bus pass cost about JPY1100, and upon return from the hells the bus will just stop right infront of the hotel , super convenient

"This hostel is in a building where beppu tower is located. It's clean and comfy 🙂
The female dorm room is big. Showers and toilets are clean, with free shampoo conditioner and shower gel provided for guests. There is paid washing machine and dryer to use. And on the 5 floor the guests can use sauna for free.
Only negative point is there are cameras in the female dorm room."

"If you're considering this hotel, you'd better stay at Yula-Re.
We booked almost the largest room they have and it felt very cheap and cramped still. Glad we stayed only a single night there. The rooms are small even for Japan, and it's impossible to fit luggage under the bed, so it feels even more cramped. The bathroom has a ridiculously high floor, we tripped over the entrance so many times... And the bath is so tiny that you'll have to use Yula-Re's onsen to wash.
There are 9 or 10 floors but only one elevator, slow and tiny, so we had to wait for unreasonable time every time we wanted to go out.
The pajamas are nice but the wooden slippers are so broken they ask to kill them rather than be worn one more time. The worst was the bed cover paired with the sheet you have to use instead of a normal blanket. Felt so unhygienic...
There were several good points, though: the service was good and friendly, the location is great - just steps away from Beppu station, bus stop, combini and cafes nearby. And the possibility to freely use Yula-Re's amenities such as rooftop pool and onsen!
But then again, consider staying at Yula-Re. This hotel didn't feel like value for money."

It was an excellent experience in every aspect. Nothing beats a relaxing private onsen after each day out and the staff was so nice too. For what we got it was a very good price. The small houses are each unique and no matter which one you get, it'll look and feel nice. Beware that some of them are Futon only though.
There is no English translation for anything, but everything went smoothly with our small Japanese skills and Google Translate (the last of which could probably suffice by itself, especially as the staff is eager to throw in some English and Google Translate by themselves).
Thank you very much, we'll come again if we come to the Beppu area again.

I found the public onsen small not enough facilities and amenities. Befire, all other onsen I stayed usually provide drinks juices and ice cream. but here, after the sauna I didn't see a bottle of water !. and the rubbish bin for so full and the water refill was empty.
secondly, we booked dinner 2 x but the food is just average and the size portion is small. not as good as others I stayed before in Japan.

The room and the Onsen were EXACTLY like those in the listing and were absolutely stunning! The breakfast was delicious and the range more than adequate. The location is good if you drive but is about 1km walk to Beppu Tower and a bit more from the night street. But I’d happily trade that for the spacious room and the wonderful sea and sunrise view.

good value for money! would definitely stay again
location: it's relatively further from the station , around a 8-10min walk. there is a 7-11 just around the corner
room: my room came without a bathroom but for the ladies are 3 cubicles shared among the 7 mix gendered guests on the floor. i did not have to wait in line at all. there was more than enough space in the room to open my suitcase wide and still feel comfortable. bed and pillow was a bit hard though, and you can hear anyone talking loudly downstairs outside the building as the room is on 2nd floor, tho that doesnt happen very often.
food: amazing balanced breakfast that changes everyday - really delicious!
onsen: the one on 2F was smaller than 1F, but very good and comfortable. clean too. you can book a private onsen room for 500yen (50mins)
staff: all of them were super friendly, helpful and made me feel welcome. there are english-proficient staff available 24H as well :)

I stayed in Beppu for 4 nights, trying different onsens at different hotels.Tsuruta was my last Beppu hotel. Although the room i stayed in is rather dated and items worn out, all necessary equipment are working very well, i stayed at a newer 4.5 star hotel prior and the air-conditioner, hair dryer and toilet exhaust were noisy and faulty, while in the older Tsuruta where everything works well! This don't judge a book by its cover, older hotels is just as good! I've attached a photo of the park and harbour view from my room at Tsuruta.

When I arrived the hotel, the two parking lots on the right side of the entrance were occupied but the one on the left side was still vacant. So I temporarily parked there to unload my luggage and then drove away to a nearby public paid carpark. However when I came back, I found the parking space was occupied by a rental car with a Fukuoka license plate and it parked there for the whole night.
The instruction sent to us clear said the customer can only use the two parking lots on the right side with “first come first serve” principle. I am wondering what is the left parking space used for? If it is only used for unloading and pickup, then the instruction should clearly mention it. Otherwise it is not fair for the customers that followed the rules and parked their cars to somewhere else.

Pros: Stayed at Room 203 meant for 5 person… Spacious and comfortable room! Had a window too!
Good soundproofing between rooms. Only could hear passing by of trains while awake, so wasn’t a big an issue to us.
TV has YouTube and Netflix to watch!
Cons: No lift!!! We had to carry our heavy & big luggages to the 2nd floor! *Should indicate shortage of this important facility in the booking system!
Only 2 parking spaces for 7 units. *Should also indicate in the booking system that parking spaces are first come first served and have to park at nearby paying car parks if both were being taken up.
Will be nice to provide some garbage bags in the room as clearing of food waste from the room was definitely necessary during the many days of our stay!
Dining table (super wobbly and one side of the table legs seemed like giving away very soon) needs to changed/repaired instantly!

Location is near supermarket and family mart. A few Coin parking locations near the house. First floor has 2 rooms ＜1 double bed and 1 with twin beds＞ but no space for luggages, a small washing basin at the corner of the staircase. 1 wc and 2 showers at first floor. Washing machine ＜no dryer＞ on the first floor. 1 wc on 2nd floor. Living room on 3 floor. 2nd floor has 2 rooms ＜1 with 2 double beds and 1 single bed, another with a single bed＞. 2 washing basin on 2nd floor inside the rooms. It's not possible to bring big luggage up to narrow and steep staircase.no mirror on 1st floor so nid to climb up to wash and brush teeth. We wish the living room was the 1st floor. The music from nearby is bearable. Only know how to manage the water heater on 2nd day.
Suggestion to include rubbish bins on the first and 2nd floor. Add a mirror on first floor.

マンションに泊まらせていただき、リッチな気分になりました。
ただ、残念な事が、バスマットがありませんでした。
タオルも、フェイスタオルが欲しかったです。
バスは 水捌けが悪くて、困りました。
ブラインドが スムーズに閉じれませんでした。
