"Room and onsen were good - clean, spacious, lovely view and not crowded. The food for breakfast and dinner average, not Wow type and same menu for our 2 night stay. A big mall nearby but close early 10am to 7pm. The hotel is popular with Japanese, ********* and Koreans but luckily the onsen though only one each indoor and outdoor, was not crowded so can go several time in a day and good amenities provided in the Onsen washing area. Will want to visit again Soon!"

"We booked this, and the sister hotel under the same organization (步步庵） for my family and my parents. Both were super nice but we think this one is nicer. Comes with private onsen inside the room, with a proper mattress. Apartment style with modern design. We love this room so much. Would definitely come back! Comes with free parking."

"If you're considering this hotel, you'd better stay at Yula-Re. We booked almost the largest room they have and it felt very cheap and cramped still. Glad we stayed only a single night there. The rooms are small even for Japan, and it's impossible to fit luggage under the bed, so it feels even more cramped. The bathroom has a ridiculously high floor, we tripped over the entrance so many times... And the bath is so tiny that you'll have to use Yula-Re's onsen to wash. There are 9 or 10 floors but only one elevator, slow and tiny, so we had to wait for unreasonable time every time we wanted to go out. The pajamas are nice but the wooden slippers are so broken they ask to kill them rather than be worn one more time. The worst was the bed cover paired with the sheet you have to use instead of a normal blanket. Felt so unhygienic... There were several good points, though: the service was good and friendly, the location is great - just steps away from Beppu station, bus stop, combini and cafes nearby. And the possibility to freely use Yula-Re's amenities such as rooftop pool and onsen! But then again, consider staying at Yula-Re. This hotel didn't feel like value for money."

"Les + : bonne wifi, sécurisé, bon emplacement (proche gare), chambre de bonne taille, staff sympa. Les - : literie très mauvaise (matelas à ressort qui cause des maux de dos), couette trop petite pour la taille du lit et description sur le site erronée (nous avions réservé une chambre avec toilette privée et serviettes qui sont pour ces dernières en location)."
