"Let's start with the pros. This hotel is basically joined to the JR Kyushu Shinkasen / Kagoshimachuo station which is joined to the AMU Plaza shopping mall and it also has a tram stop right outside the mall (Kagoshima-chuo eki mae tram stop). So in terms of location I think this hotel ticks all the boxes. The lady at the front counter who was checking me was very friendly, however, we both had to use a translator to communicate 😂 . I believe that is it for the pros. Moving on to the cons. This hotel is starting to show its age (and not in a good way). The room was small, the bathroom is vintage, it felt dewy and it gave me an allergy attack. The 3 gripes I had: 1) The fix AC near the ceiling was blowing directly onto the bed which was really uncomfortable. I believe this contributed to my allergy flare-up. 2) The bed and the pillow was not very comfortable. I did not sleep well for the couple of nights. Or it could've just been the AC. 3) The hotel didn't offer any bottled waters. I would rather they take away the cheap plastic toothbrush and comb and offer the bottled waters instead."

"Value for money. Simple yet sufficient. Clean n with all the necessary amenities. Beautiful view of Sakurajima mountain. Fully recommended if u are looking for a simple n comfortable stay"

"Hotel 's located not far from JR Station within walking distance. Reasonable price which can redeem TRIP vouchers / coins. Hotel staff are friendly & helpful. The hotel' s room is bigger than my expectation. As all of us know the size of the hotel room in Japan are not large. Self service for all amenities based on own needed usage. Opposite is a supermarket which operation business until late night."

"Very well located near everything. We could walk to the water front, buy food till midnight in the neighbourhood. The clothes freshener was very convenient. 12th floor had ice and water dispensers, vending machines and a public bath. The included breakfast coud serve as our lunch. Overall we loved our stay."

"Very central location in Kagoshima city, with the shopping belt 5mins walk away. For those who take the airpot express bus from Kagoshima airport, alighting at Tenmonkan station is just 5mins walk away from the hotel. Hotel room is neatly furnished, rooms and clean and comfortable. Daily necessities like shavers, toothbrushes, cleansing foam, etc is available at a self service counter next to the lift."

"We had an amazing stay at this hotel and honestly couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The value for money is outstanding—everything you get here easily exceeds the price. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, and very pleasant to stay in, making it a great place to relax after a long day. The service was exceptional. The staff were always willing to help with anything we needed, no matter what it was, and they were consistently super kind, polite, and welcoming. You can really feel that they care about the guests. The location is perfect, with a bus stop right outside the hotel, making it very easy to get anywhere in the city quickly and efficiently. Overall, a fantastic stay—highly recommended!"

"pretty good place to stay as it's pretty close to the tram and it's located in the centre of town. there was only one elevator for this specific branch so it could get a bit annoying. there's also no coin laundry service but there's one located just right beside but it's pretty costly."

"A classic Showa-era business class hotel with a beautiful lobby. Features and amenities were standard for this class. The room was quiet and with careful management of the window curtains and heat pump comfortable enough on winter nights. Wifi/Internet was fast. There was a noticable odor behind the toilet where it's hard to clean, and though it was hard to see while standing, sitting in the bath revealed a ring of mildew on a seam of waterproof wall around the tub, which was no big deal but a surprise in an otherwise clean room. I'd probably stay again because the price on my package deal was competitive, but was disappointed to find that the late check-out service was not available for the stated fee (or any fee); I may not have communicated my request correctly to the night front desk clerk the evening before check-out morning (night three of three), the first such denial received at a Japanese business class hotel, and so you should probably inquire at check-in if you think you might require this so that there are no surprises."
