"it was stated as a smoking room but honestly there’s no cigarette smell! conveniently located right beside a 7-11 konbini & a few more others down the road! i love how towels, slippers, toiletries & even pajamas are generously provided. the nearest exit is exit 6 (stairs) and exit 14!!!!! (upslope if you’re heading to the hotel down) has a godsend elevator! would def book this hotel when i’m back in kobe :-)"

"Standard business hotel with good-sized rooms. Two 26” suitcases can open easily. Great 24-hour self-serve drink bar.
Had a little problem with bathtub drainage (overflowing to bathroom floor and almost out of the bathroom), but staff cleaned it up nicely.
Would be nice if the front desk could offer help with arrangements that can only made through the phone."

"A nice and clean budget stay. Nice staff service. Happy to find a nice and clean microwave oven when I just needed one. All guests are civilized in all aspects. No noise at all at night although many clients sharing a same room. In summary, a nice and comfortable one-night short stay for me."

Mycket bra service som tillhandahålls av hotellets personal.Sömnkläder, skaffare, komb, tandborste och tandpasta tillhandahålls gratis.Det finns ett självservice tvättrum, som kostar 500Yen för 3 kg belastning, 2 timmar.
Hotellet är mycket nära tågstationen Sannomiya och det finns stormarknader, Daiso, restauranger och ett bowlingcenter strax bredvid dörren.Perfekt för familjer.
Rummet är mycket stort och kommer med fyra sängar.Större utrymme att öppna tre bagagepåsar och gå runt.Kärlek hårtorkaren som tillhandahålls i rummet!

My stay at Hotel Piena was amazing!
The staffs are all super friendly and helpful.
Breakfast buffet was interesting and delicious.
I would love to come back if I visit Kobe again! :)

Not sure what has happened to Japan standard in the past couple of years but had called the hotel to confirm that linens are scent free (standard in Japan before) and was told yes. Unfortunately they are not, this new laundry detergent that is slowly spreading throughout Japan is absolutely horrible causing all sorts of allergic reactions (not only to me.) I start having rashes, compromised breathing, and inflammation issues. If it’s the same detergent used back in America, then it might be eco-friendly, but definitely not human friendly. I truly hope that Japan goes back to the way it was before the introduction of some western products filled with harmful chemicals to humans. It is not because you don’t react to it that it is not harming your body, it’s only a question of time and when it does, you won’t know why and there is no turning back. Take it from an Asian American born who was the biggest fan of American marketed products. We do have good products like ECOLAB, which is both, sustainable for the environment without compromising human health. Maybe laundry company should look into that company or simply return to Japanese products before. Good thing thing their pyjama are still scent free so I had to wrap the bed and cover with their pyjama to get through the night.

Great location, a short walk to central Kobe. Front desk service is great.
Parking is only free for cars with low height. Can be slightly noisy since it's next to the railway, but a non-issue in general.

Most comfortable bed that I stay in Japan for the past 2 months. Lucky we stay here for 4 nights. Bed is very firm but not hard which is good for our back. Room is very clean and bathroom is spaces that I can sit on bath tub and shower. It would be perfect if the room is slightly bigger. They charge parking for 2000¥ for night which is too high for me but the front desk young lady ( ********* girl) who was very friendly and helpful, she recommended me to park my car at nearby coin parking which cost me on 800¥ for 24 hours. Thank you so much Miss 余.

I booked this place at the last minute as we wanted to extend our stay in Arima Onsen by one night and most hotels were fully-booked. I searched on *********** but couldn't find any suitable accomodation so thought to try Trip.com. This hotel came up only on this site and I was delighted to find it. At first I was concerned by the lack of reviews, but all the reviews were good and the room looked ideal for a family of four; 2 western beds and 2 tatami beds, with spacious living area and separate bathroom and toilet. It was really great value for money. The size of the room was very generous, and the facilities were great. We made use of the Onsen baths and the table tennis room during our stay. None of the staff spoke english but this wasn't an issue as they were all adept at using google translate. The location is also fine - it is situated between the town and the ropeway, so it is easy walking distance to each, which was very useful since they dont offer any shuttle service. All in all I would reccomend it for a short stay in Arima onsen as it is really good value for money.

Room is really big and clean. The public onsen on 5th floor and the cleanliness inside there is so so. There're restaurants nearby and closed a bit early! V good price and sure will stay here again!
