"I stayed at Ginza Capital Hotel Akane for 2 nights and overall had a pleasant experience.
The location is very convenient, especially with Tsukiji Station just a short walk away, making it easy to access the metro and move around Tokyo. It’s also a quiet area, which is nice after a long day of sightseeing.
The staff were friendly and helpful, and check-in/check-out was smooth.
However, the hotel facilities and furnishings feel a bit old. While everything was functional and clean, the room and amenities could benefit from some updates.
Overall, this hotel is a good choice if you prioritize location, accessibility, and friendly service over modern facilities."

"I am very satisfied with this hostel I chose for my Tokyo trip. The biggest advantage is definitely its proximity to the metro station; it made exploring the city so easy.
The rooms and common areas were always spotless. The beds are comfortable, and the Wi-Fi speed is quite satisfying. They also have laundry facilities: it's 300 yen for the washing machine, 100 yen for detergent, and 100 yen for the dryer. It was very convenient!"

"Quite hard to find, even though it is near Akebonobashi station (exit A2), which is an exit without the escalator. There are lots of convenience store around, so it's good for midnight snack. One can walk to the Shinjuku Gyoen park, so that's very good location.
The lighting in the room is rather confusing to manage (the first hotel with this remote-controlled only lighting, no switch!), took me 5-10 minute to figure out how to turn off the light without taking out the central card! It should have been made more obvious during check in (yes, there is an instruction book, but no one would flip it in the middle of the night to find out how to turn off the main light!)"

"Overall our 3 nights’ stay is not as satisfactory as other hotels that I have stayed in Tokyo…
1. We requested for normal cleaning but yet they did not make our beds after the first night. We called them to feedback n yet they insisted to come up to the room and check! Are they implying we lied?😞
2. After the second night, the housekeeping forgot to wash the cups n left a cleaning towel in the room😣
3. The access cards did not work after the first day.. they have to be reactivated"

"Good location old capsule hotel. What annoyed me is the following. You need to check out every single day. You cannot leave anything in your capsule so you have to move everything twice every day. Let’s say you want to go to your room; you meed to do the following. Wait for elevator. There is probably a line so you have to wait for the second elevator. Then take off your shoes in a 1sq meter place with 5 other people. Then wait in line to hand in your shoe locker keys and get your item locker key. Then wait for the elevator again twice to get to your floor. This all feels arbitrary and unnecessary."

"Detta kapselhotell ligger vid Asakusabashi JR-station och även nära två tunnelbanestationer, vilket gör det väldigt bekvämt. Hotellet är rent och gästerna är mycket hänsynsfulla och tysta. På första och sjätte våningen finns gemensamma utrymmen där man kan koppla av och äta. På sjätte våningen finns mikrovågsugn, spis och kök. Det finns sju duschrum med bra avskildhet. Varje kapselrum har en stor och en liten handduk, tandborste och tandkräm samt ett par engångstofflor. Det finns en skoförvaring och ett låsbart värdeskåp. Det finns toaletter med bidéfunktion och även urinoarer för män. Vissa rum är för blandade kön. I närheten finns många restauranger och närbutiker. Det är väldigt bekvämt, så jag rekommenderar alla att stanna en natt för att uppleva glädjen med att bo i kollektiv. "

"I really enjoyed my stay at Toyoko Inn Narita Airport Honkan. What stood out the most for me was the shuttle bus service. It made the whole trip so much easier, especially when going to and from the airport with luggage. It was very convenient and gave me peace of mind. I also really liked the room because it was much larger than I expected, which made the stay feel extra comfortable and relaxing. Everything was clean, tidy, and easy to settle into. Another highlight was the breakfast. It was simple but very satisfying, and it was nice to start the morning with a good meal before heading out. Overall, I honestly have nothing to complain about. My experience was smooth, comfortable, and pleasant from beginning to end. I would definitely stay here again and would recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable and comfortable hotel near Narita Airport."

LLimeflowerThe hotel staff are generally helpful. Hotel is accessible to train station, bus interchange, eateries, local market, and malls. There is also a lovely neighborhood park with a lake nestled in Kichijoji. Our family enjoyed exploring the small shophouses lined along small streets in the vicinity. Was surprised to stumble upon several thrift shops and 2nd hand electronic store.
Overall room is generally clean but our bathroom had a strong stench of urine hence, giving 4* rating for cleanliness. Location is good is 5*. One of the reasons I chose this hotel is because the pickup point for the express limousine bus to Haneda airport is just a stone throw from hotel.

Disappointing Experience at Emisia Tachikawa Hotel
I arrived two hours early and was told I had to pay ¥2,000 for early check-in — even though rooms were available. I refused, as I believe good service should accommodate guests when possible. If early check-in is to be charged then I should be refunded for check out early at 7am - or an offer of a partial refund? While waiting in the lobby, I asked for a phone charging point and was told none were available — a basic amenity that most hotels provide.
The room was very small for the price charged, and breakfast wasn’t included. On top of that, the hotel only offers self check-in, meaning there’s no staff interaction or support. It felt more like a vending machine than a hospitality experience.
Overall, I found the stay lacking in comfort, service, and value. I wouldn’t recommend it unless you’re looking for a bare-bones, no-frills place to sleep.

BBrighton TanI stayed at R&B Hotel Hachioji for 9 nights in a single non-smoking room from Dec 31, 2024, to Jan 8, 2025.
First impressions:
Room: The room was clean and relatively spacious, featuring a carpeted floor, a clean bathroom, and Toto toilets with a built-in bidet. Liquid soap and shampoo are also provided. The room was quiet and peaceful during my stay, perfect for resting after a long day.
Amenities: A table with a wide variety of amenities (such as disposable toothbrushes, toothpaste, facial cleansers, facial toners, razors, shaving cream, to name a few) can be found on the lobby floor. A coin-operated laundry room with free detergent is also available on the 5th floor. While detergent is free, laundry costs about 200 yen for a 30-minute wash and 200 yen for a 30-minute dry. If needed, a coin exchanger is available on the lobby floor.
Service: The staff were super friendly and accommodating despite the language barrier. The hotel offers free Wi-Fi throughout my stay, which was very convenient for staying connected. The check-in and check-out process was smooth and efficient, and if needed, you can leave your luggage at the hotel before check-in time. Breakfast was included in my package and consisted of curry and rice, oats, yogurt, boiled eggs. For beverages, there was a coffee machine, orange juice, apple juice and tea. Towels and toiletries are changed daily during cleaning time. However, bed sheets are changed only every 3 days, so if your stay is shorter than that, bedding will not be changed—something to keep in mind.
Convenience: The hotel is very well located, with three convenience stores nearby (7-11, Family Mart and Lawsons). The Keio line is just a 5-minute walk away, and the JR line is a bit further, about a 10-minute walk, but still very convenient. There are also shopping malls and eateries nearby. The surrounding area is lively yet peaceful, making it easy to explore.
Value for Money: Considering the location, amenities, and service, I found the hotel to offer excellent value for money.

GGästanvändareThe accommodation was so much better than what I thought! It's spacious and comfortable with the window view of the trees and 5 minute walk from the train station and Mt Takao trail. Youhei who greeted us at reception was outstanding in his customer service, he explained there would be vegan breakfast served daily as I put a request for vegan and didn't get a response that there would be vegan breakfast and he gave us tips on how to use the amenities here and how to communicate to the restaurant staff about our request. We enjoyed the bonfire and cooking corn which tasted amazing. The feedback I would give is the young Japanese woman who served us for dinner on the first night on Friday 12th July at 8pm, she was very quick to get the bill and take the money without being patient and focused, it felt like we we're not welcomed. Other than that I would come back again!

HHito KokoroA very good hotel. If you want to experience exotic customs and simply spend a vacation, this will be a good choice. The facilities are relatively clean. Even in the public bathrooms and toilets, you can hardly see any stains. The relatively affordable tatami double room can also bring a good experience. There is no peculiar smell or bugs in the room. Basically, there is nothing wrong with it. It is very close to the island's port and the island's bus station. If you travel by cruise ship, this will be a very convenient choice. The Japanese breakfast provided by the hotel is also very nice, it looks clean and healthy. All in all, this is a hotel that allows you to experience the island's culture very well. I would recommend it.

GGästanvändarePros: New unit equipped with the all the basic necessities. Loved washer, bidet (a must) cooktop, balcony and heated bathroom. This is a super nice, new, spacious apartment. Easy to get around, walk 6 mins to a Station and Lawsons below. Had a scare when I thought we had communicated a late check out and then told to be out early. Seemed to work but will update the review accordingly.
Cons: I could feel springs when laying down. I realized the mattress had the up side down. I flipped it and, no springs. The linins on the bed had sebum/body odor and I had to wash the sheet and towels. Couldn't use the comforter and put it in a closet to avoid the odor. I hope management realized the odor. Floors need a deep cleaning as my feet were dark after walking barefoot. Once the cleaning is improved, this will be a great place and I would rent again.

フロントスタッフの方の笑顔でホッと落ち着けました。
建物自体、新しくはない感じではありましたが
部屋が綺麗で清掃が行き届いている感じがしました。
朝食も美味しく頂き、利用できてとても良かったです。
一点だけ欲を言わせてもらうことが出来るなら
枕元にコンセントプラグが欲しかったです。
それ以外は、とても良かったです！
またの機会があれば
利用させて頂きたいと思います。

GGästanvändareI stayed at Beautiful Kamiya Resort for two nights. Location location location! At Mitake station there are lockers to store luggage. They fit a carry on for sure but maybe even a large suitcase. 500 yen for up to three days. I was outdoors the majority of the time but was at ease knowing a comfortable warm bed and hot bath awaits me. The kitchen is very basic but good for simple meals. Electric cook top, microwave, hot water pot, refrigerator etc. The bad tub is almost as large as a car. Separate toilet and tub areas. Lots of power outlets throughout. Plenty of hot water and clean towels. There is some traffic noise but not a big deal at least for me. This area is absolutely beautiful. Mountains, trees, river, friendly shop keepers and amazing hiking. It rained everyday except my last day of course. It was not really a rain but more like a Seattle mist. I was able to hike the entire main loop but did not peak Mt Otake as I did not have the correct footwear. There is a bus from 30 yards south of the Mitake train station that departs to the Mt Mitake cable car. The entire day round trip is about 1200 yen but honestly I did not keep track down to the penny. I had the most delicious cold udon dish ever at the Small village about 1/2 mile hike above the cable car station. They used local mountain vegetables. My first time ever to taste wild Miatake mushroom tempura. I was in heaven! Cons: no convenience stores in the area however there is a small store between the public train station restrooms and the train station. Lights from the street and nearby buildings come through some windows but there is a window shuttle that can be closed. It's 5-7 minutes walk to and from the Mitake train station. Having a car would be more convenient. I did not try any taxi service so I'm not sure if there is the option.
