"The hotel is really really old. If you like nostalgia kinda vibe, this is it, it feels like it has not been renovated since opening 😅 room is spacious enough for 2 person. The only thing good about this hotel is the view. It's just too pretty sitting my the window looking at the beautiful lake toya especially during sunset time. Breakfast is just alright, nothing fancy but good enough for a simple breakfast."

"When booking did not mention 10 years old kid need to pay additional 3000yen for bed sharing. Pricey compared to all my other hotel booking at Hokkaido. There is no water bottle provided, no amenties as well. All massage chair spoiled. Do not worth the price paid."

"We absolutely loved staying here. We had a large Japanese style room with a view of the lake. You could watch the fireworks and see the sunsets. The hotel is set slightly apart from the other main hotels which is a positive. The baths were never busy and there was a small outdoor bath. We really enjoyed our stay here"

"The biggest issue I have from the stay was that it was too short. The ryokan was awesome - very cosy and spacious for a double room. The place may be old, but certainly gives off the grandma’s place old but cosy vibes. Usage of the washing machine is free, and located just right outside the public bath. You can rest outside on the sofa after your bath while waiting for your laundry. The ryokan’s location is superb - walking distance to the nearest bus stop and to a bunch of convenience stores, drugstores and restaurants. As I was travelling during the long fireworks display period, the ryokan’s location is the best as the fireworks display is right behind it (or right in front of your window). The place may not be so well equipped like your typical hotel in the cities, but it’s definitely enough for simple travels. Would love to visit the place again"

"The location is the best which just one minute walking distance to the bus terminal to/from Toya Station and in front of the ferry pier. Please see my photo. Perfect location. The front desk receptionist lady was friendly. I was placed to a lake view Japanese style room. It doesn't include shower but toilet in the room and it looks like old but I love the room. The view from the room's window to Lake Toya was excellent. I love my room's window can be opened, I could see more clear to the lake view and to have fresh air from outside by opening the window. Even it was a raining day, cloudy and frosty. The view is still spotless good. The service was good. The room was clean, tidy and come with all necessity, but bath/shower excluded. However, based on the price, I was happy with it because I don't mind to use the bathroom in the onsen area on floor one. There was only two down side that I found: First, the male onsen area floor was sticky and slippery with moss (My left hand accidentally touched it and my hand was sticked with moss in outdoor onsen area) that includes indoor and outdoor area. I wish they would take more effort to the cleanliness of onsen area. Second, the suana was not available for customer to use. However, I had a fantastic sauna and onsen in 万世閣 (a hotel where is just a few minutes walk away from Toya Grand Hotel) by a paying walk in onsen fee(1300 yen) for non-resident. So, it didn't affect me much. Overall, my experience was good. I would give Toya Grand Hotel 8 out of 10. I love Toya Grand Hotel. I would recommend it."

"小木屋完全超出期待值，好評一定要給。拍照拍不出木屋裡麪的好，設施設備方面都是高檔型標準的。看得出裝修花了不少心思的費用。 這裏滿足了對森林小木屋的所有期待，窗外的洞爺湖景色更加絕絕子。浴室外面的景，覺得勝於90%私湯。周邊景色也是隨手一張都非常美。完全不需要p圖。 滿星推薦。 經營聽説是兩夫妻，年紀稍大。估計運營做的不好，不然絕對妥妥的網紅店。 意外收穫。 ps：生活用品毛巾牙刷那些不是特別好，有點要求的最好自帶。"

"木の温もりを感じられる内観で、とても暖かく過ごしやすかったです。ベッドの寝心地も良く小さい子も落ちる心配のない低いベッドもありました。カメムシの対応に少し悩まされました。虫が苦手な方は注意です。"

"I had a wonderful stay at this place. The location is perfect being right in front of the lake and just a street walk across. The place was also very clean and well-maintained, with heaters that kept the place warm and cozy. Parking was also available right beside the place. The owner was incredibly hospitable as well, providing us with coffee and chocolate. The owner was also extremely helpful in assisting me when I left something behind. I would definitely recommend this place to families and group of friends visiting Lake Toya. Definitely love to return in the future."
