"Good place to stay, if you want to explore Toyooka and have be close to Kinosaki Onsen. The rooms are clean, comfy and seemed recently renovated. We would book there again."

"By far the best hotel/resort experience I ever met.We travelled not only with a family of 5 but we had 10 baggage’s total which they helped organize and deliver to our room even though it was really heavy. Lägenhet till allt vi behöver och frågade och super välkomnande. De små detaljer som de skulle göra hade tryckt i mina minnen för livet, t.ex. att minnas vilka skor vi hade, förbereda våra slips, förklara våra måltider och ge en kudde utan att fråga oss. Jag hoppas att detta når ut till den chef som gjorde det bästa för att se till att vi var lyckliga och tittade efter.Vi skulle alla rekommendera denna plats till våra familjer och vänner.1000/10 S+++"

"Wonderful staff. At check in, one staff member rushed over with a car for our luggage. We were sitting for dinner at the table in the lobby and she brought over (without us asking) wine glasses for our wine. They also reminded us that if you scan a qr code and leave a review on checkout, they give you a gift (drinks or snack). It's far from anywhere, but there is a Lawson nearby and we brought in food from the supermarket."

"Nice, modern and new hotel in Kinosaki onsen with great hospitality from the hotel owner and his staff. I was welcomed by the owner at the door when I arrived, and they even prepared a beautiful greeting card on my arrival. Welcome drink was provided and the owner recommended good restaurants and provided the USP of each onsen in Kinosaki. The room is spacious, clean and new! I especially like the Japanese style of the hotel. Yutaka and 1-day onsen pass were provided for my stay. As the next day I had to move to another hotel, the owner very kindly helped me to transport my luggage to another hotel near the JR station. Overall, excellent stay, excellent people and excellent breakfast! :) Would love to visit Kinosaki onsen again and stay with Utsuroi Tsuchiya."

"It's a lovely hotel in traditional Japanese style. It has a pretty inside garden and an onsen (no private onsens for booking, only common ones for all hotel guests that are divided for males and females). Hotel provides you with a yukata and a haori for your stay (you don't rent it, they are included in price), which is very convenient. When I asked the receptionist if I can buy them, 'cause I loved them so much, she said I can take them for free if I want. I double checked to avoid any miscommunication, but she insisted that I don't have to pay extra for those. Everything in the fridge, including alcohol, is free. Hotel is a bit far from the main street, but has a transfer, so I'd say it's fine. We ordered a dinner and breakfast, and both were absolutely wonderful, had several courses."

"对不是日本人完全不友善的酒店 Not foreigner ( Western & Asian) friendly. We travelled around 70 Roykan in the last 3 years and this is the wrost service we ever had. Japanese get to seat and offered juices when they checked in while we have to stand at the front desk and no juice offered. We asked for the yukata rental (free rental) and the young staff just ignore us twice. We asked for sizes a few times then he just said it’s all here. Then when we picking the only two small sizes he grabbed and give it to the Japanese girl and ignore us or never ask us before he took it as he knows we are looking into those. Very rude. Most of ryokan will bring you to the room or assist to bring luggage or already put in the room for you. This one you do everything yourself after check in. When we get into the hotel room it’s hot as no aircon is on. Then air con is broken so we called reception. With their broken English they insisted I don’t know how to turn on the aircon which I told them the air con is broken, after 15mins on the phone showing me how to on I keep telling them to send the staff up as we are so hot in the room as it’s summer and no window open and no fan was on after moving luggage. They came up and fix the air con for 45mins then told us it’s broken and need to change room. The whole hour we were sweating but no offer of water / drinks or anything and we just stand in the room while they fixing. When they decided the room need to be changed, they asked us to wait downstairs but leave the luggage in the room so we thought they will move luggage to the new room but they did not. Staff see us so hot at lobby didn’t tell us there is free drinking machine that we can get ice juices , they just watch us hot and sweat and not saying a word. When the new room is finished, they gave us the new room key and asked us to move the luggage ourself and return the old key. No help at all and wasted 1.5 hours of our onsen time. No apologies as well. I feel like being treated like a trash. Not enjoyable at all. I paid extra for the sea view room which when they change my room they offered a slightly bigger room but my sea view was mostly blocked (in the pic )which I am not so happy. There is amenities corner at the lobby, at night after the onsen we come back and want to take the lotion as early on it was gone and they didn’t replenish, the female staff have a bad attitude and flip her eyes ask us which room we stayed, we showed her the key and she said the cream is already in the room which her broken English. There is one set in the room but those are small one time pack which we finish after we had the onsen so we want to take another one. She was rude and insist we can’t take. Her attitude was so bad seems like we are stealing. There is an amenities cornor, if you not allowing guest to take please do not have this setup. Food is okay with the buffet. Wagyu beef is nice but they is a normal standard for Japanese onsen buffet nothing too special. Overall, with the price paying compare to other roykan in Japan, this hotel have very bad service to non Japanese. There is also nothing special for this onsen. Probably best to try somewhere else."

"The experience was generally great. The hotel is surrounded by clear waters and a beautiful geopark that offers stunning views and a lovely hike. The hotel is famed for its crab kaiseki, which most visitors here come for. However, they do not convey that you will only get to eat the crabs once even if you have a longer stay. The rooms are old and dated, but comfortable and clean. The hotel's service is acceptable but only one staff speaks English."

"The hotel is a bit old style  As a Onsen hotel - the facilities ; Elevators should have hand rail or / and a seat inside the lift to allow older adults to hold on or in case of fainting occur !  There should be towels inside the spa area instead of asking customers to bring along the towel to & back to room ! There should be towels available inside the spa area !  The free transportation starting from 4 o’clock till 9:30 is good but it would be better if the free transportation can start a little bit earlier say I’m 12  The hotel staff are where we helpful and where we polite thank you !"

"Hotel was a little far from the hype but they provide free shuttle bus service, which was awesome! They also had private onsen in the facility. Room has a toilet but shower has to be at the public bath."

"Останавливались в отеле в октябре 2024 года. Взяли два номера на двоих. Плюсы: 1. Великолепные номера в стиле классического рекана: все очень красивое, аутентичное, масса мелких деталей, записок и подсказок для гостей, интересных безделушек в номере. У нас были кровати, а не футоны, но минусом это никак не назвать - кровати удобнейшие. Вид из номера (3 этаж) - на горы. Чистота идеальная, в номере есть все, что должно быть в номере классического рекана: от татами, до низкого столика для отдыха. 2. Бесподобный ужин кайсеки. Великолепный завтрак сукияки (готовишь себе сам). 3. Красивейшие интерьеры отеля, по нему интересно гулять, изучая его изнутри. Отель красивый снаружи тоже. 4. В номерах можно курить (мы этого не делали, да и номера не прокуренные совершенно). Есть курилка при входе в отель. 5. Чудесный персонал. Все просьбы и жалобы удовлетворяются за минуты. Плохо говорят на английском, но это не беда, общались через переводчик. Ребята классные, веселые. Быстрый чек-ин, куча напоминалок по поводу того, куда и во-сколько приходить / что и как правильно делать. 6. Есть приватный онсен (мы не пользовались). 7. Дают беспланый пропуск в 7 общественных онсенов. Дают скидки на сувениры. 8. Дают отличные юкаты для онсенов, для женщин - дадут красивые, выбор огромный. Нюансы: 1. Единственный минус отеля - удаленность от центра Киносаки (15-20 минут ходьбы по не слишком красивым местам). Но! Есть бесплатный трансфер от отеля до центра города, плюс есть трансфер вокзал-отель-вокзал. Да и ходьба от отеля до центра Киносаки нас особо не напрягала. 2. Это не бизнес-отель, поэтому ни стиралки, ни утюга, ни душа в номере нет. Душ (а по факту - онсен) общий на минус первом этаже - отдельный для мужчин и женщин."
