"The hotel is strategically located near Jonker Street, which is very convenient. However, the cleanliness needs improvement. Other than that, everything else was satisfactory."

"Location is just a short walk away from Jonker Walk, and much more peaceful during the weekend. Interior is beautifully decorated. Be sure to let the hotel know if you're not very mobile as some levels require going up and down a few steps (there is an elevator but some rooms are at split floors). The hotel is much more spacious than I expected. There's even parking available (don't know if it requires an additional fee - we didn't drive). Breakfast was included with our stay, with a good selection of food in the buffet. Hotel staff were friendly and helpful. I will definitely stay here again when in Melaka."

"S&tayed at De Ocean Hotel Melaka and had a pleasant experience overall. The accommodation was well-maintained, offering a simple, clean, and cozy atmosphere. The room was tidy and comfortable, and the towels provided were clean. However, the bedsheets were a bit old and could use an update. Parking is available, which is convenient for guests traveling by car. It would be even better if the hotel could provide a water dispenser for added convenience. Overall, it's a decent and comfortable stay for short trips in Melaka."

"I had a minor accident in front of the hotel lobby—I hit the cement curb/bollard in front of the hotel, resulting in a slight scratch/damage to a floor tile (and this particular tile already had several previous damages from other people hitting it before). Subsequently, an Indian staff member (identified as a supervisor by his colleague) came and took pictures of the damaged tile. The issues I have with his conduct are as follows: He started chatting with a Chinese customer while pointing out the minor damage and simultaneously pointing towards my car, smiling and chuckling slightly as if mocking or being sarcastic. Then, another Chinese man (possibly a customer or staff) approached, and he again showed the damaged tile, smiling and chuckling lightly while pointing at my car. My issue here is: there were also Malay customers present; why did he choose the Chinese customers to point out this issue to, but not the Malay customers? He then approached me and said: ”You have hit and damaged this tile, and you need to know that I will report this to the hotel owner, and you should know that the owner of this hotel is a Chinese person, and I am certain you will have to pay for the damages.” What is the implication of saying, 'the owner of this hotel is a Chinese person'? I asked why he needed to make a scene and involve other customers to talk about the incident while laughing lightly and smiling as if being condescending, and why this incident was being exaggerated when he himself was aware and had mentioned that customers frequently hit that cement curb. Is it now my turn to be made to pay for the damage, after it has been hit multiple times by other customers previously? Am I being made a scapegoat to settle the costs of previous incidents? Where is the commitment to excellent Customer Service in terms of maintaining a customer's 'dignity' or 'reputation' (air muka) in front of other patrons? He made a fuss as if I had brought down the whole building. I am attaching photos of the tile damage and other pre-existing damages."

"Stayed at 1825 Hotel Melaka and had a pleasant experience. The location is convenient and makes it easy to get around the city. The room was clean and well-kept, and the bed was very comfortable, which made resting easy after a long day. Overall, a simple and comfortable stay."

"The staffs were friendly and helpful. It's a strategic location for travellers and a convenient and safe location for solo travellers. The hotel is quite clean and comfortable. The walls aren't soundproof however during my stay it wasn't a big deal. Overall, the stay was pleasant and I'd definitely choose this hotel again."

"This hotel is slightly expensive during festive seasons or school breaks. As i entered the main door , i was served with very warm welcome at counter. The counter boy’s languages and explanations were very soothing and well mannered. My room was 142. As I entered room , I found wall have dirty patterns, the lighting at makeup area was not functioning. In addition, the plug at headboard of bed was not well equipped. I could say that the lighting in this room was not sufficient to “say” terang condition! Abit dull. The foods served for breakfast were considered satisfied. Secondly, The bathroom door was made from wood. Creating such irritating sound to ears. The pillow case was also dirty. Pipe at toilet was too close to bathroom door making difficult to sit, because the space seemed too narrow. In conclusion, room should be well organised to create conducive surrounding to renter."

"Spacious room with sea view and well-maintained and equipped. TV, air-conds, fans, lights, hair dryer, fridge, washer, kettle, cooker, and microwave functioned well. Basic kitchenware and tableware. Very comfy 2 queen beds. There's an extra futon, but we didn't use it because nobody wanna sleep on the floor 🙂↔️a sofa bed too. We requested a missing towel, and extra toilet paper delivered quickly to our room. Regarding the swimming pool, a hundred guests were wearing normal clothes into the pool 😅. No proper suits. Easy self check in and out. I am satisfied staying at this unit because of the responsive service. Good."

"Overall the hotel is quite good It located near the Jonker street and affordable price for tourists facilities is excellent but the shampoo given smells weird So I suggest to bring your own one Have some nearby restaurants and they provide free parking so it’s quite convenient also."

"This hotel is within walking distance to Jonker walk. In front of hotel got parking space, but limited, just 200meter away got a paid-parking service, so parking no issues.This is a hotel which is value for money. My friend drop his wallet at the lounge, the hotel staff take the trouble to find the owner, so nice and helpful of them. Thanks."
