The cabin is wood throughout, ceramic flooring, island bar, nice front deck with a fire pit and a gorgeous view. If you are site seeing, hiking, 4-wheeling, or just need a nice peaceful and beautiful get away, this is the place!The cottage is located on 40 acres, with National Forest on two sides. You can explore the property on site, access National forest on site, or take a short drive to many beautiful locations. The Historic Oark Cafe, the Burger Barn, Catalpa Cafe, Haw Creek Falls, The Glory Hole, the scenic Pig Trail, Byrds adventure center, Mount Magazine, Petite Jean Mountain, Mount Nebo, Mulberry River, High Bank Twin Falls, Ozark Highland Trails, Hawksbill Crag, Natural Bridge, and many other popular destinations are just a short drive away.We live on the property so anything you may need, we will do our best to accommodate.The cottage if fully stocked with anything you need to prepare meals. Pots, pans, utensils, crockpot, electric skillet, oven, stove top, microwave, array of seasonings and spices, coffee pot with coffee, refrigerator, etc.. There is also a gas grill on the deck. Sit around the island bar and have a nice meal, a drink, or a game of cards. Just a beautiful place to hang out and relax, enjoy nature, get some peace and quiet, hike some trails, or go on an ATV ride. Additionally, there is quick road access to the foothills of the Ozarks, where adventure awaits; Bike trails, Hiking, Lake Ludwig for fishing and kayaking. We don't mind sharing our home with your family pets, but please respect the property and cleaning up after them, and notify host of any issues and clean and address accidents asap. There is a $30/night pet fee. We provide a few blankets and a clean up station in the yard for your use. Dogs are not allowed on furniture, unless it is a necessity by a service animal; prefer out of the carpeted rooms due to easier to clean. Dogs need to be kenneled or in back yard if left alone. Guest is responsible to check fence and make sure it is suitable for dog to be left alone outside, however if dog is outside, excessive barking can not be an issue. If neighbors complain this could lead to cancelled reservation, with no refund. Fee for excessive damage and clean up fee of $250 will be charged for pet messes. Please utilize the pooper scooper and waste bags provided.Smoking is allowed OUTISDE ONLY. Any smoking inside the house is strictly prohibited and if you are smoking on the deck please make sure windows are closed. please puck up trash and butts. If you are looking to unplug and immerse yourself in nature, this is your place. The cozy cabin sits on the bank of the Little Mulberry Creek. The creek runs most of the year, but slows to a trickle in the dry summer months (as shown in the photos). The second floor of the cabin sleeps an additional 2 people, with a full size bed and a half bath. YOU MUST SELECT 3 or 4 GUESTS TO HAVE THIS SPACE ACCESIBLE DURING YOUR STAY. This is a small loft space with an exterior entrance only, not suitable for small children. The additional guest fee of $25 a night is for 3 or 4 guests. When booking, select 3 guests to have the room added to your reservation.The cabin is tucked at the back of our property. To reach the location please be prepared to drive down 6 miles of dirt road. Access to the cabin requires driving over 2 cattle guards and through a pasture. All of this can be done with a car if you are comfortable/experienced with driving off pavement, but you may prefer to arrive in an SUV or truck. This area of the Ozarks does not have cell service. However, there is WIFI at the cabin and barn.The kitchen has all the necessities for preparing meals. You will want to arrive prepared as the nearest grocery store is an hour drive. In addition the closest gas station is 15 miles, locally owned, and closes early. Don't show up on an empty tank. :)The serenity and seclusion of the cabin is truly a unique experience but not for everyone.
