After the fire that destroyed our old funky home on the South Shore, we built a new waterfront home. It has a main floor deck with a stunning view of Olympic Mountain, and an upper deck that overlooks three upper-floor bedrooms. We replace othe extra-large hot tub with an artesian well water system before your stay. You can enjoy fresh oysters and clams on the beach, and keep an eye out for seals, otters, and eagles. The sandy beach stretches out 200 yards at low tide, leading to eel grass beds that are home to crabs and baitfish. The summer water temperature reaches the 70s, and we have a float dock, gas fireplace inside, and a firetable on the deck. We also provide a rowboat, 7 kayaks, a canoe,. We supply firewood for the waterside fire pit, and there are plenty of flowers in the very peaceful, fenced yard. The Coman's beach house is a newly restored 1966 mid century modern costal style home. It sits 30' back from a no bank bulked with steps down to beach access. The two main bedrooms on the top floor face the water sunrise is amazing and there are blackout curtains if you don't want the light to wake you up. There are two decks one upper level off of the bedrooms and one lower off of the kitchen living area. The kids room has a twin over full bunk bed with a twin trundle and a princess tent. This place is great for all seasons with fishing swimming floating during the summer and hiking staying in with the unique round wood stove and movie on the projector screen. Our family lake place of 50 years is the perfect home base for your next vacation to the Olympic National Forest.Spend your days kayaking Lake Cushman or hiking the many nearby trails, then return home to a dog-friendly living space, a wood-burning fireplace, and a selection of board games, books and movies for your entertainment. Outside, there's a large deck for socializing and dining. Off-street parking is available for 4-6 vehicles, perfect for getting together with friends. A private community park and boat launch are just a few blocks walking distance and a parking pass is included. Boat launch requires an additional fee per day of use however not required for kayaks that can be carried to the beach.The cabin was built in 1970 and still retains many of the charming decorative details of that time period.
