Dixieland Delight is a spacious cabin on 1 acre large enough for the whole family to enjoy yet cozy enough for 2!Our cabin is located less than 3 miles from all the shopping and restaurants in the quaint and utterly adorable town of Mentone, AL on beautiful Lookout Mountain.Whether you are looking for a long weekend of quiet seclusion or a place to rest your head between the many outdoor activities located within a short distance, Dixieland Delight is the perfect place for you!Travelling with a smaller group or multiple groups? The entire family can cozy up on the huge reclining leather sectional and warm up by the fire while playing board games or streaming your favorite shows on the large screen TV. Dixieland Delight does have fast WiFi for streaming or if you must, working!Kitchen and Dining:The kitchen is well-equipped with everything you need to make a delicious holiday meal! There is a Keurig with pods, a drip coffee maker and even a tea kettle and air frier! There is a dining table and 3 bar stools for additional seating for all of your family meals.Bedrooms and Bathrooms:Dixieland Delight has 3 bedrooms and 2 full baths. Downstairs has a full-sized bed that has its own door leading out to the screened-in back porch. You can watch deer roam through the backyard from the comfort of your comfy bed. Also downstairs is a bunk room with 2 sets of bunk beds, making this the perfect space for multiple families, large families, couples and small families alike. A full bathroom with a tub and shower combo is downstairs. Upstairs is the master suite with an extra-comfy queen-sized bed and huge a bathroom complete with double sinks, a large soaker tub and stand-alone shower. Outdoors:There is an open front porch with a swing to enjoy the sunrises and a screened-in back porch with tons of seating for the entire family to watch the multitude of deer and other wildlife that frequent the property. A BBQ grill is available for use as well as a fire pit area with a picnic table perfect for roasting hot dogs and making s’mores! There are 2 security cameras located outside of the cabin. 1 is located at the front door and one on the side of the house pointing out to the parking lot. This newly remodeled house has all the comforts of home. The spacious floorplan allows for elbow room while enjoying each other's company. There are 4 bedrooms and 3 full baths. The kitchen and great room allow for gathering space. The kitchen is fully equipped and there is a washer and dryer in the laundry room. Coffee can be enjoyed in the nook at the front of the house or on the screened in porch. The 3 different decks offer beautiful views and rockers. The house is on Scenic Highway 1.8 miles from the vibrant village of Mentone and 1.3 miles from picturesque DeSoto Falls. Lots of outdoor activities including kayaking on the Little River and hiking in Desoto State Park and Little River Canyon National Recreation Area. Mentone has great restaurants and bistros and has a vibrant arts and crafts community and shops. Downtown Chattanooga is 45 minutes away.Floor plan description: The house has 4 levels. From the front walkway, there are 2 short steps to the front deck entering on the main floor which includes the laundry room, den, kitchen, great room, a kingsized bedroom with a full bath that adjoins a twin bed bedroom. The screened in porch is off the main floor. From the main floor going down 5 steps with a hand rail is the downstairs suite with a full bath, king bed, and a bunk bed with twin mattresses. This bedroom goes out to a private lower deck with views of the brow. Once you return to the main floor, there are 8 steps with handrail to the upstairs suite with an additional loft. The living area features comfortable seating and a small, functional kitchen with a full-size refrigerator, stove, and microwave (no dishwasher). Window units provide cooling, and propane heat keeps the space warm in cooler months.Step outside to enjoy the rock patio with seating, Weber charcoal grill, hammock, and outdoor firepit (firewood provided). While Henri sits closer to the road than the other cabins, mature trees and natural landscaping maintain privacy and a relaxed atmosphere.Hootin’ Henri is one of three cabins on 12 wooded acres at Hoot Owl Hollow. Guests are welcome to explore the property, including a small bridge over a seasonal creek that leads into a wooded area with large natural boulders and a simple walking trail.Mentone’s village shops, restaurants, Brow Park, and seasonal events are all within walking distance. Enjoy a quiet stay at a very secluded cabin, which is close to Desoto State Park, Lookout Mountain, Chattanooga, TN, and Little River Canyon National Preserve in Fort Payne, AL. The Woodlands is perfect for a weekend getaway!!! Starting July 1, 2025, we will be PET FRIENDLY!!!!
