This location is a family-friendly property with almost an acre of riverfront enjoyment!We have outdoor games such as ladder ball toss and corn hole. There is a large open part of the backyard for general running around…maybe playing a favorite family game or throwing a baseball or football back and forth. Directly behind the house are giant boulders that qualify for “King of the Mountain” status for the young and young at heart! Best of all is the river just below the outside dining patio. Just walk down a few steps, and you can wade in the whitewater middle fork of the Kaweah River. You can watch rafters and kayakers float past you at certain times of the year. We have a wide variety of birds, and watching their antics as they dart and fly through the trees along the beach is fun. We always consider it good luck to see the great blue heron fishing from a boulder or flying up or down the river. Deer and even bears walk through occasionally. (We have black bears here, which are usually very timid; it’s a thrill to see them foraging for acorns and lunging up a tree.)Gravel walkways surround the house and encourage you to enjoy the natural beauty of this spectacular location from every angle. The rock gardens and giant boulders allow you to sit quietly and listen to nature and your thoughts.This privately owned, single-family home is 800 square feet and sleeps six. It has one full bathroom, two bedrooms—one king and one double—and a full-size convertible sofa in the living room. It also boasts a washer and dryer in the outside laundry room (if you have used all your beach towels or shorts!). We have a newly remodeled kitchen with granite countertops stocked with all the necessities, including a dishwasher, coffee maker, microwave, blender, and toaster. There are some spices and spice blends to stir your creativity into making meals right in your own vacation home. In addition, there is a gas grill and a covered patio table for dining. There is also a fabulous rocking swing for two or three people to sit and watch the river go by!The sunny dining nook offers a nest to enjoy your outdoor views. Its cheery coral color scheme will light up your meals and offer a lovely space to sip your beverage if you don’t feel like going outside.Oak paneling, redwood shelving, and lace curtains give the living room a friendly atmosphere. We are within walking distance of our famous Candy Store, the River View Restaurant, and the Beef Jerky stand. On the weekends, the River View Restaurant has live music. River Peak is a 3 bedroom, 2.5 bathroom home on 2.5 acres in Three Rivers, CA. Three Rivers is a charming mountain town and is the gateway to Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks. The home is very private and has all the amenities that you and your family will want during your visit to the mountains. Three Rivers is in the foothills of the Sierra Mountains. It is not a city, but rather it is wilderness. Many people love the wild beauty, as we do. But you will probably see some animals and maybe some bugs. There isn't a Starbucks on the corner. But all of that is why it is special. The walls and ceiling of the main section of the house are beautiful redwood, which compliments the amazing views outside every window. All of the bedrooms are located on the second floor, leaving the spacious ground floor as a great place to entertain or just to relax in one of several cozy places to enjoy. The kitchen and family room look out on a huge covered deck and a swimming pool that enjoys amazing views of the canyon around you. The 8 foot deep in ground pool is the perfect place to cool off with your friends and family. The backyard is fenced off. There are two living rooms. One is a quite place to relax and look out the large windows to watch the world, and likely some wildlife, go by. The second living room has a 65" TV and comfortable seating to enjoy a movie or the game. Our DirecTV package includes just about every channel. There is a Chromecast so that you can stream using your accounts. The kitchen has everything you need to prepare a great meal. Most of the appliances are new in 2021. All cookware, utensils, glasses, knives, and mugs are included. There are 4 bar stools at the kitchen counter. The dining room has new furniture and will seat 8. There is another 8 person dining table outside, along with a comfortable seating area. All of it overlooks the pool and the mountains. Upstairs there is a huge master bedroom with its own private balcony, a walk-in closet, a wine/coffee lounge with mini fridge and coffee maker, and an in-suite bathroom including a large tub and separate shower. The other two bedrooms share a full bathroom. One bedroom has a queen bed, while the other large bedroom contains a queen bed and a buck bed with a full size and twin mattress. A short trail from the pool area leads to a meadow and the home's private access to the South Fork of the Kaweah River. It is an amazing spot to watch and listen as the river goes by. The river rises and falls with the seasons. Three Rivers only gets rain in the winter, so by summer it's rivers start to shrink. Our river spot is normally not good for swimming, but there are other places in town to swim. Note: on Wednesday mornings the yard maintenance team and the pool cleaner both come to the house. they generally arrive around 8a. They do not enter the house.
