"The hotel exceeded my expectations. The staff were friendly, attentive, and always ready to help. My room was clean, spacious, and very comfortable. The facilities, especially the pool and restaurant, were excellent. Location was convenient, close to shops and attractions. I would definitely stay again and highly recommend it."

"The hotel was clean and well-maintained, and the staff were friendly and provided great service. The facilities were also in good condition, making the stay quite comfortable. The location, however, was a bit far from the city’s CBD area, but getting there was still easy thanks to the nearby tram access. Overall, a good stay with only the distance being a small downside. good view at night if you get a good room."

"Rydges is a great hotel and the location is perfect. This is my second time staying here. The first time, I booked a Deluxe King Corner Room with the church view, that room is absolutely gorgeous. This time we stayed in a Twin King Suite. The view isn’t as nice, but having the beds separated from the sitting area is perfect, especially for the kids bedtime. A couple of downsides: the pool isn’t very kid-friendly if your children aren’t strong swimmers, or if you’re shorter and need to supervise them closely. The shallow end is still 1.2 metres deep. The couch in the room is also not very comfortable, honestly, the floor felt like a better option. We also had trouble getting through to reception from the room phone. We tried calling four times with no answer and ended up walking down, which was fine, but a bit inconvenient. Room service picked up quickly though, so I’m not sure if there’s an issue with their reception line. Overall, still a lovely stay, just a few things to be aware of."

"Had a wonderful stay at DoubleTree by Hilton Melbourne! The location is perfect right across from Flinders Street Station and within walking distance to great cafes and shops. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-designed, with beautiful city views. Staff were warm and attentive and made check-in smooth (loved the welcome cookie!). Would definitely return for both business and leisure trips."

"NOT A GOOD EXPERIENCE. Had great expectations but: 1) a job site obstructs the way to lobby n u may have to expect a few extra minutes waiting for taxi. Consider it if you have business meetings as nobody will tell you that. 2) personally it is a big minus for me… walking to the lobby n getting covered by food smell coming from the restaurant/bfast area. Terrible ventilation (ur clothes might stay with that smell) 3) room-service trays abandoned on the floor for the longest hours both day n night. Walking with trash n leftovers unattended isn’t the best for me (besides possible source for bugs). Will not come back although gym is nice n new n breakfast crew is very nice (Filipino ladies); they are always with warm n positive attitude (cannot say the same for the rest of the personnel… at reception i.e.)."

"A lovely boutique hotel in a great location. Our room was large, spacious, and beautifully styled with modern décor. We especially appreciated the kitchenette (including a dishwasher) and the two balconies, which made the stay feel even more comfortable and airy. In terms of cleanliness, I’d rate it around 4/5. While the room was generally clean, some items are starting to look dated — for example, rust on the stainless steel racks. There were also a few maintenance issues, such as a fridge that wasn’t working properly and a chunk of plaster missing from one corner. With a bit of TLC and some updates, this hotel could easily move from good to fantastic. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay, which we really appreciated. The location is excellent 10-15mins to the centre — trams are just a 2-minute walk away, and there’s a supermarket directly opposite the tram stop where you can also purchase a Myki travel card, making it very convenient to get around. Overall, a spacious and comfortable stay in a well-connected area, with just a few areas that could use some attention."

"The staff are super helpful and friendly. But the bathroom and toilet facilities are a bit outdated. The tap over the wash basin keeps dripping water and it's making loud dripping sound that it's disturbing our sleep. Since we only stayed for a couple of nights, so we did not bother to ask for change of room. Also, it really difficult to turn the tap on and off with these old-styled taps. Hopefully some renovation is in line soon when we come back next year to stay there..."

"It was very clean and well organised. The pool and sauna were wonderful and the gym was pretty good for a hotel. I recommend this hotel for a night stay, the price was very reasonable as well!!!"
