This hotel is an absolute hidden gem. From the moment we arrived, we felt so well taken care of. It feels like a Ritz-Carlton but with even warmer, more personal service. The corridors are lined with plush carpets, the materials and finishes are all rich and top-notch, and my child immediately described it as “posh” — I’d add that it’s also very zen, peaceful and quiet. The room is generously sized, quiet and very zen. The hotel is new, modern and “smart”: when you get out of bed in the morning, a soft foot light comes on automatically so you don’t have to scramble for switches. The kids loved pressing buttons to close the curtains, and I liked being able to choose between work lighting and cosy ambience at a single touch. Service here is outstanding. Everyone is fully dedicated, responsible, warm and kind — and very prompt. Nothing is ever too much trouble; everything is handled politely, respectfully and thoughtfully, so you really feel safe and well looked after. The team also has a lovely sense of humour, which adds to the comfort and makes the stay feel relaxed and friendly rather than stiff. On top of that, they even helped me plan safe and cost-effective travel options — such amazing, value-added service. Special thanks to Xiaoyu and Xiaoliu, who were excellent throughout. Xiaoyu especially made the extra effort to be promptly on hand via WeChat, helping with any queries even after hours — it honestly felt like having a friend there with us. The rest of the team were equally attentive and caring, and I noticed everyone would greet the guests, including the cleaners. It is a very well-run hotel: not just following instructions but offering real service from the heart. When we checked out, they even surprised us with bags of lovely snacks, which was such a sweet and thoughtful gesture. Breakfast was wonderful. The spread has everything one could ever need: noodles and omelettes cooked on the spot with a rich meat stew, a choice of porridges (I especially liked the millet), plus Western and kid-friendly options, and many different drinks to choose from. Insider tip: don’t miss the croissant — it has egg custard inside as a filling! The toiletries, like the shampoo and soap, are specially made and feel high quality — another small touch that shows how much care has gone into the details. The location is incredibly convenient. Huge malls and a hypermart are literally at the doorstep, and the MRT/subway is linked directly to the hotel. The nearby malls and eateries are massive and have everything you could possibly want. There’s an outlet mall about 15 minutes away, so shopping is definitely covered. Practical bonuses: major banks are right downstairs, and if you need to change RMB, the exchange rate is very good and the fees are reasonable. There’s even a salon if you feel like getting a new haircut during your stay. Through the connected mall, you can find food of every kind, including Michelin-starred options — including a restaurant that serves crab cooked in liquor and delicious braised radish. Although the hotel is luxurious, modern and packed with smart features, what I treasure most is the dedication, warmth and sincerity of the staff. I’ve stayed at many other hotel chains, but this experience is way beyond anything I’ve had before. This stay has now set a very high bar for other hotels to match. Highly, highly recommended.

This is our second time staying in a Manxing hotel in China so we had some sort of expectations. Unfortunately, the first impression was not the best due to the limitations of a historic building, the lobby is very small and we met a group of tourists checking out with several kids frolicking around. It felt chaotic. However, the Manxing staff quickly redeemed themselves with their warm services so it was all good. We were happy with our room in general, however I could think of a few improvements: (i) to install a rack or similar for holding up a suitcase; (ii) to install better sound insulation windows as we could hear the noises from the street, if it is not possible due to it being a historic building, at least provide ear plugs in the room. The reason why I gave a 4/5 in cleanliness was because of an incident in breakfast. On our second breakfast day, we discovered that the glass water kettle for serving hot water had grown algae inside. We informed the staff and it was immediately taken to clean. I believed we were actually the first to arrive at breakfast so no one had drunk from it yet, however this little incident shows that the hotel needs to train their staff better. Even a seemingly clean kettle for holding water needs routine cleaning!

Hotellet ståtar med en elegant miljö, utsökt inredning, rymliga och ljusa rum, bekväma sängkläder och rena, luktfria badrum. Personalen på Yuanbei och Zhijin erbjuder professionell och uppmärksam service, vilket säkerställer en smidig in- och utcheckningsprocess. Det erbjuder exceptionellt värde för pengarna och är ett utmärkt val för resenärer.

The location was perfectly situated in a hutong close to all tourist destinations while being just outside the busy loud streets. The room was small, but we made due —this was not a trip for staying in hotel. Beside the location, what made the stay go well was the staff. From carrying our overweight luggage up a flight when we arrived to doing our laundry for free, from setting us up with a private driver to take us to Mutianyu GW to bringing us lattes each morning. The hotel itself was charming in old western-influenced  Shanghai style, if a bit dusty in places. As many have mentioned, the fridges are not for cold cold drinks —something hard to find in China anyway. Plenty to discover in the hutongs for eating and drinking. Go for it. 

Hotellet ligger långt från stadens centrum, så det är ganska obekvämt att ta sig runt i staden. Även om det ligger nära en tunnelbanestation tar resan lång tid. Det finns en 7-Eleven inom gångavstånd för att köpa nödvändigheter. Rummet är litet men rent, utan cigarettlukt (även om viss lukt kan komma från andra rum). Det är tyst. Badrummet har starkt vattentryck men saknar avskildhet, med bara en tunn gardin som avdelare, vilket kan kännas obekvämt om man bor med vänner. Personalen ger utmärkt service. Frukosten är utsökt och det finns gratis snacks tillgängliga klockan 22.00. I närheten av hotellet ligger Taiyang Park, som hade en snöfestival när vi besökte det – barnen njöt verkligen av det.

This new hotel is tucked down a side street in a hutong area and looks unassuming from the outside. Once inside you will be amazed at the beautiful spaces. The rooms are huge and the bathrooms even bigger with all the modern comforts you could want. Breakfast is a buffet and had a good selection of both western and Chinese foods. The front desk was incredibly accommodating, helping us order in dinner one night after a very long day.

This hotel was OK. It was a bit disappointing especially the breakfast. We just simply average. It was OK clean good location, but I expected more from Crystal

Läge, läge och läge är nyckeln till detta hotell. Bara några steg från Wangfujing Shopping Street och tunnelbanelinje 8 (utgång B). Vid Jinyu Hutong Station (linje 8) vid utgång B finns det en rulltrappa som enkelt tar dig med eller utan bagage. Sedan kan du enkelt ta dig till hotellet. Jianguo Puyin Hotel har nyligen bytt namn till Jianguo Hidden Hotel, antar jag, eftersom AMAP eller Apple Map inte kunde hitta det aktuella hotellnamnet ”Hidden”. Hotellets läge är nära Starbucks, McDonald, APM Mall, Wangfujing-området etc. Om du vill besöka Palace Museum rekommenderar jag att du tar en promenad (ca 20 minuter) från hotellet till Palace Museum vid biljettkontoret + entréporten (roligt område). Didi eller tunnelbana tar dig lite långt från entréporten om du planerar att göra det. Frukosten är lokal. Utbudet av mat är nästan detsamma under min vistelse 5 dagar och 4 nätter. Bra pris i förhållande till läget. Rekommenderas starkt

Jag bokade detta hotell under min resa till Peking och rekommenderar det starkt till resenärer. Det uppfyllde flera av mina viktigaste behov perfekt: 1. Bekvämt läge: alla större attraktioner ligger inom räckhåll med taxi, och taxibilar kan ringas direkt till dörren. 2. Nyöppnat: miljön och faciliteterna är bra, rena och har en Peking-känsla. 3. Jag gillar att promenera runt och äta frukost; det finns många anrika restauranger i närheten, inom gångavstånd, för wokad tofu, bräserat fläskbiprodukter och douzhi (fermenterad mungbönsjuice). 4. Utmärkt service: de lade till mig på WeChat före min resa för att svara på mina frågor, gav vägledning vid incheckningen och erbjöd bagageförvaring.

Families with 2 children. We choose this hotel as it is near to the Airport. It provided free shuttle service which is every 30 min. The bus is on time. During our stay we had flight delay and we were able to extend our stay for minimum price. The staff at frontcounter were helpful. For the room it is big and clean. The pillows are soft and fluffy. We enjoyed our stay.
