"We stayed at this excellent hotel for three nights during our first visit to Dalian in May. The room was very clean and had some very useful amenities such as a refrigerator, clothes washer and a bidet toilet. It was very convenient to wash our clothes and save money.
The staff was very helpful and kind. Mr. Chen helped me find an excellent Thai massage spa (Tai Baba) nearby and helped us get taxis. We are especially grateful to the manager Mr. Leon. He left his busy post at the front desk and walked with me several blocks to get medicine for my wife who was briefly ill.
We opted for the Chinese breakfast all three days and it was very good. However, the western food selection was limited. That was not a problem for us because the Chinese food was delicious. We are from the USA.
Mr. Leon recommended an excellent Japanese restaurant (Konoha or Jiuye) with a huge menu selection in the same building. We ate there twice and there was a waitress who spoke fluent Japanese. There are many Japanese restaurants in close walking distance to the hotel. Also, the hotel is located near a shopping mall with a huge food court on the top floor. We recommend Chinese and foreigners to stay at the Shan Shui S Hotel when visiting Dalian. It made our trip to the beautiful, friendly city of Dalian memorable.

"It was a very satisfying stay.
The hotel’s location is excellent. There is a large supermarket and a department store within walking distance, and a night market right next to the hotel. It is conveniently located in the center of Dalian, making it easy to reach the city’s major tourist attractions. The service was also outstanding. The staff were friendly and responded quickly to requests. I also liked that the room had a transparent refrigerator, and it was convenient to have multiple outlets available for charging my phone. Highly recommended."

Staffs is friendly and helpful.
Hotel room is clean and new , provide laundry service and free supper from 9.30pm to 11pm and this is a surprise to us especially during cold weather also we have an old folk with us so we enjoyed it a lot.
Quite a lot of eateries nearby, small shops to buy some groceries.
Definitely will be back again.

The room was very spacious, clean, and new. Whenever there was an issue, such as the heating not being warm enough, the staff assisted us immediately.

"We stayed at Novotel Dalian Zhongshan as a family, and chose it largely because it’s a newly opened hotel (2025).
While the location felt slightly less central than we expected, it was hardly a drawback—taxi fares are very affordable, making it easy to get around. Having a convenience store on the first floor was also a real advantage, especially for families.
The room itself was immaculately clean, exceptionally spacious, and paired with a beautiful view, it made for a very comfortable stay. We were also genuinely pleased with the fruit and beverage service, which felt thoughtful and welcoming.
One more highlight: the delivery robot was fascinating—no matter how many times we saw it, it still felt surprisingly cool and memorable!
Overall, a modern, well-maintained hotel that we’d happily recommend to families seeking comfort and a touch of something new."

GGästanvändareThe room was extremely clean, the room had a very pleasant smell, and the staff was EXTREMELY helpful. The bathtub was extremely spacious, and the water was contentiously hot. The shower was beautiful and the toilet was very high tech. The middle easten theme of the hotel was very nice. The ONLY problem with the room was that it didn't have any hooks to hang towels/robes.

I could not find it anywhere in the room. I thought this was a standard item in every hotel now. Counter service staffs seemed okay except for a few who are not very helpful. Presumably not knowledgeable. Hotel location is not good. It is away from Railway Station and especially Metro Station. As I rely on subway train or public bus alot to get around as a budget traveller and to blend in into their local life.. And I find it not convenient to get around for sightseeing and others.

TTokkiiiWe stayed at Atour Hotel Dalian Dongguan Street (大连市政府东关街亚朵酒店) during our first trip to mainland China, and honestly, this place was one of the highlights of our whole visit.
Right at check-in we were kindly upgraded to a suite, and the staff asked if we could leave a review — after staying here, that was an easy and enthusiastic yes.
Where do I even start?
The room was immaculately clean, super quiet, and incredibly comfortable. The bathroom was impressive with strong water pressure and top-notch amenities — everything felt fresh and high quality. We had zero issues with housekeeping — everything was always perfect.
The staff were some of the friendliest we’ve met in China. Their English wasn’t perfect, but they tried so hard to help with whatever we needed, always with a smile and patience. That honest effort made a big difference.
Location is another major plus. This hotel is right by Dongguan Street, which means you’re walking distance to tons of restaurants, shops, and attractions. Pavilion Mall is super close too, and the airport is easy to get to — really convenient for arrivals and departures.
One small thing — the subway station is a bit of a walk, but the tram stop is very close, so getting around was still easy.
We didn’t try the breakfast since it wasn’t included, but honestly, everything else was so good that we really don’t even care.
To all travelers — especially Korean and Western visitors who might skip Dalian thinking it’s “not worth it” or don’t see many foreigners here — do yourself a favor and stay here.
This was hands-down one of the best hotel experiences we’ve had anywhere.
If we come back to Dalian, we will 100% stay here again without hesitation. Highly recommended.

We had free costume dressing from hotel, gdscent capsule laundry and my baby girl experienced her first snow in dalian too 13/12! We love snowy in Dalian! The service of the reception were great as I left a box of fruits in the room after checking out. Called them and she arranged delivery to send to my next hotel. Really appreciate it.

JjtravelsThis is an instagrammable hotel that offers quality service. From checking in to checking out you will be assisted by the staff. There is an open beach a few steps away with 2-3 cafe shops. One of them is Caan. The buffet breakfast offers delicious western and Chinese breakfast. The rooms are nicely designed with a balcony overlooking the beach. Snacks and drinks are also offered for free including a welcome fruit plate. Toiletries are of quality and smells really good. Japanese toilet is another plus! The bed and pillows are all comfortable. They also offer activities like boat and paddle board riding. If u need help with anything including attractions to see, they have a wechat account and they respond quick.
I highly recommend this place if you want a more quiet place to stay. And of course the private beach front setup is so relaxing and offers a great view both day and night!

DDvm…Amazing hotel with a reasonable price. Room interior was very new and so beautiful. Toilet with bath tub and separate shower area and have all toiletries. Hotel staff were very good and helpful. At front desk no.8 front desk girl give us all support during our stay. Hotel was located at the city center with all shopping and attractions with in 10 minutes drive. We love to stay here again. It was so comfortable and pleasant stay

GGästanvändareI had an early flight out so stayed overnight. Check in was easy and great service. Room was smallish but suited my needs. Bed was super comfortable thankfully. Airconditioning great! Dinner at restaurant ok but I thought from earlier reading they had western options. Good food nonetheless. Just a bit tired and rooms need a refurbish but would stay again
