our stay has been an exceptionally pleasant experience. From the room to service attitude and communication efficiency to the entire process, everything was truly satisfying. The staff were attentive and patient, handling issues quickly and professionally. Overall, the experience exceeded expectations and is one I would highly recommend.

Situated in the ancient town with a nice view. The path is quite rough and uneven so the staff helped us carry the luggage from the point where the taxi dropped us. The staff was very helpful and provide a lot of guidances. As we would miss the breakfast for both mornings because we would need to leave early for the tours, the staff packed the breakfast for us! The staff also helped me at late night with booking a taxi to a bus station. If it were not for him, we would have missed the bus to Tiger Leaping Gorge as no Didi taxis accept our advance booking.

We have stayed in many places all over the world, and this accommodation ranks among the very best we have ever experienced. Before we even arrived, the team had already contacted us and seamlessly arranged our airport transfer and pickup to the accommodation, which immediately set the tone for an exceptional stay. Accommodation: The accommodation itself exceeds a 5-star hotel standard. From the moment you enter the room, it is clear that every element has been carefully considered. The design, attention to detail, and overall comfort reflect the work of a top-tier designer. As designers ourselves, we truly appreciated the thoughtful colour schemes, lighting choices, and smart conveniences throughout the space. Features such as the fully automatic toilet, comfortable shower, and stylish humidifier added to the sense of luxury and refinement. It is this meticulous attention to detail that truly sets this accommodation apart from others. Location: Located in Yuhu Village, a charming Naxi village, the setting is both authentic and peaceful. The village atmosphere, friendly locals, and lovely coffee shops and bakeries make it a joy to explore. A particular highlight is the close-up view of Yulong Snow Mountain, which adds a breathtaking natural backdrop to the entire experience. Customer Service & Staff: The customer service was outstanding. We received thoughtful, personalised tips and guidance to make our stay in Lijiang as enjoyable as possible—far from generic recommendations, the suggestions were clearly tailored to our personal interests and needs. The staff are exceptionally warm, friendly, and generous, and they genuinely make you feel welcome. It is evident that they love what they do, and that passion translates into an atmosphere where guests truly feel valued. The entire team went above and beyond to ensure our comfort throughout our stay. We were deeply touched by the manager’s generosity and thoughtful parting gifts. The location is excellent, situated right at the edge of the ancient city. Cars can stop directly in front of the hotel, making it very convenient, and the ancient city is easy to explore on foot. We truly appreciated the warm hospitality of 阿柳, who kindly arranged complimentary transport from our previous hotel and to the airport. He also patiently explained the walking routes using a map of the ancient city and thoughtfully warned us about common shopping traps. The hotel staff are friendly and accommodating, and they even sent us off with gifts on the day of departure. Highly recommended!

Stayed here for 4 nights and 3 days with a family of 4. Arrived at night 10pm+, and the staff of Ju She The House (Inn)were actively checking with us on where we are and if we would require any assistance in carrying the luggage’s to the inn. The room was beautiful, spacious and clean. And the customer service and support provided by the lovely staffs of Ju She was also top notch. They even made extra effort to help prepare some simple and early breakfast for us when we had days whereby we had to set off from the inn very early in the day to sightsee. They had a chat group that includes some staff of the inn, in which we could freely and easily request for any assistance when needed, and the staff were all very nice and polite when assisting us. They also had daily complimentary breakfast, afternoon tea and a small Chinese dessert soup with reminders in the chat group, which was a very lovely and sweet addition to our stay at the inn. Will definitely come back to stay again when we come to yunnan for our holidays. Kudos to all the friendly and lovely staff at Ju She The House. :)

This gorgeous hotel at the foot of the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, exceeded my expectations! Very friendly and helpful reception, and as a foreigner who cannot speak Chinese, I really appreciated everyone’s hospitality, including the owner who speaks English. My room was beautiful, and equipped with all amenities needed. The location is great, close to many attractions and it was surprisingly easy to get a taxi each time. The vibe of the hotel is truly unique - quiet, solitude, happy farm-style! The animals all have their own little “hobbit houses,” and are living their best lives at this beautiful, clean hotel. Furthermore, the snacks and afternoon tea was delicious and presented very well. I had so much fun doing the travel photo shoot at the hotel, and watched in awe as the sun rose over the mountain very morning.

Mu Xue Oriental Inn is an absolute gem in the heart of enchanting Lijiang Old Town! From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by its authentic old-world facade, which beautifully contrasts with the luxurious modern amenities inside. As Muslim travelers, we truly appreciated the convenient location—nestled in the charming, rustic old town yet just a short walk from the main road, making it easy to find halal meals without trekking far or uphill. The modern toilet with a bidet was a delightful surprise and added so much comfort to our stay. The inn’s thoughtful design, impeccable cleanliness, and warm hospitality made our trip unforgettable. We can’t wait to return and would highly recommend Mu Xue Oriental Inn to anyone visiting Lijiang—whether for culture, comfort, or convenience, this place has it all! A true 5-star experience! 🏡✨

We had an amazing stay at this accomodation. The location is excellent, on a quiet edge of the old town but easy walking to all the attractions. The view is magnificent; highly recommend selecting a room with a view. The room is spacious and comfortable, very clean, and the bathtub is great to have. The hosts were very friendly and communicative, and served us complimentary delicious Yunnan tea multiple times. We tend to like doing our own thing, but we could tell the hosts would be very helpful arranging tours etc. This accommodation is incredibly good value and we would recommend it to anyone.

I appreciated the convenient location and service, but the misleading tour arrangements, unexpected extra charges, and poor coordination made my overall stay frustrating and disappointing. Location: The hotel is in the southern part of the Old Town, which has fewer crowds than other areas. It’s quieter, still beautiful, and easily accessible. Service: The hotel offers one complimentary train/airport pickup if arranged in advance (for 3 night stay). The staff helped carry my luggage from the South Gate (cars can’t enter the Old Town) and provided welcome fruit upon request. Breakfast was as described, though the noodles were undercooked. The staff were responsive and helped me book tickets, including a trip to Jade Dragon Snow Mountain—but this is where things went wrong. Initially, the hotel staff quoted me a reasonable price that matched my research and said the schedule was flexible, I could spend as much time as I like. When I went to book, they suddenly told me I needed to pay about 200 RMB more because I was a foreigner—something I knew wasn’t true from my experience in other cities. They also said lunch was mandatory. I was short on time and wanted convenience, so I accepted the extra charges. Although I was told that jackets, oxygen bottles, and water would be provided, the driver took me and other Chinese tourists to a store to buy additional oxygen and energy drinks at four times the normal price. There I was told the “free” oxygen bottle was too small—information the hotel hadn’t mentioned. I bought one just in case but never needed it. I booked a sunrise tour with a 5 a.m. pickup, but we didn’t actually see sunrise at the mountain—partly due to weather, partly because the schedule wasn’t designed for it. The driver took me to Blue Moon Lake first, then the cable car, and the Impression of Lijiang show last. He kept saying I was short on time, so I needed to buy an additional ticket for battery car to get around and rushed through Blue Moon Lake without knowing how long the walk should take, only to end up waiting an hour at the cable car. After the show, we were taken to lunch, which had no menu—just a very basic hot pot shared with random strangers seated at the same table. The driver texted me to hurry up because other passengers were waiting and even told me that they didn’t pay for lunch because they knew it wasn’t good. That upset me even more. Overall, I felt rushed, overcharged, and misled, and the whole experience made the trip far less enjoyable. Amenities: The amenities were as described, but there was no daily housekeeping or towel replacement.
