房間配置很好，戴森吹風機好用； 前台免費升級的套房，不過我還是不太習慣沒太睡好，但總算也是體驗了一把北方的炕，總之謝謝前台免費升級安排； 早餐很豐盛，小米粥非常原生態，絕對沒有添加粘稠劑，口感好，蒸的兩顆大紅棗口感也很好，也是終於品嚐了一次蒸棗，菜品太過豐富，總之，我衹吃了1/3不到，已經飽了； 接送司機人也非常好，熱心幫助我們提箱子，本來東站想付費的，前台也貼心的給免費了； 總之一場非常不錯的體驗，很值得推薦的一家酒店。

Receptionist were polite, friendly, helpful & thoughtful. They took initiative to giving us suggestions on 'primary' attractions and recommending us localized dishes, stalls and restaurants, which turned out to be very good. They also arranged to pick us up from the entrance (normal car cannot enter Pingyao Gucheng) and send us to Pingyao Gucheng station (high-speed train station) on our last day - both for free. They helped arrange a private car to take us to the places we wanted to visit (Wang Jia Da Yan & Mianshan) - we had to pay, of course. On check-out day, the receptionist gave us a surprise by gifting us a small bottle of localized vinegar which added on to our pleasant stay. In our travel experiences in more than 10 countries (& many hotels), the receptionist from this hotel was 1 of the best. Room was clean and no cigarette smell inside the room and within hotel premises. Towels were clean and smelled fresh. One small issue was that the water pressure from the hand-held shower head was weak. But the water pressure from rain-shower head was still acceptable. The hotel interior was very ancient-like which was very pretty and met what we expected. No disappointment. Hotel location was very good. A few footsteps away from bustling streets. The bustling streets were full of variety of shops -- restaurants, souvenirs, snacks, attractions, and many more. There was no vegetarian restaurant inside Pingyao Gucheng, however, you could easily ask the restaurant staff to cook vegetarian meal for you -- just need a bit of explaining what you want to exclude from your meal, it's quite easy.

Allt ser magiskt ut och tar oss till en gammal kinesisk film här. Den enkla och förmodligen gamla renoveringen av hotellet respekterar denna särdrag, vilket ger rätt komfort.Isoleringen är inte optimal, men jag skulle inte förvänta mig mer från någon annanstans i stan. Vi bad om hotellrestauranger och de gav oss en kupong för en ut (vi har varit där, det var verkligen trevligt). Valet av frukost (mellan väst och kinesisk) är bra. Pickup service är perfekt, mycket snabb och bekväm!!! Personalen, särskilt Bae, är mycket trevlig och hjälpsam. Vårt tåg avbröts och de tog omedelbart hand om oss, gav ett nytt rum (en suite, mycket vacker och bekväm).

Ett extremt djurvänligt hotell, med två katter som leker på gården. Pojken och flickan på hotellet var också väldigt trevliga. De hämtade mig vid parkeringen när jag kom. När jag gick åkte de två tjejerna på motorcykel för att hjälpa till att bära mitt bagage. Det är mycket nära parkeringsplatsen vid norra porten av den natursköna platsen, vilket är bekvämt för självkörande resor. Samtidigt är det ett visst avstånd från centrum av den natursköna platsen, vilket gör det tystare att sova på natten. Frukosten är enkel men ren, rekommenderas!

Great location inside the ancient city! Super easy access to all the main attractions! The hotel has an incredible courtyard (the most beautiful in all Pingyao). They gave us an upgraded room that was really spacious and super comfortable, modern, very clean and tidy (nice bed, shower and very quiet). Great breakfast and also great restaurant to have lunch or dinner with lots of great food! All the staff were welcoming and helpful! The young lady gave us a map that optimized our itinerary and even suggested some sites that we didn’t know (and were really great). Really recommend this hotel for everyone! The best place to stay inside the old city!

I never bother writing reviews. Pure laziness on my part. But here, I had to. The hotel seems very new, the rooms are very comfortable and, of course, very clean. The breakfast is great and varied (even for a European who eats sweets in the morning 😅). And most importantly, the staff. I arrived in the evening, and two young women checked me in. They were extremely friendly and gave me advice on where to eat and what to see in the city. Thank you for introducing me to Pingyao and for representing your hotel. I interacted with many Chinese people during my trip, but never on such a high level. Thank you to the team at the Mercure de Pingyao and a big thanks to Xiao Wang 小王 and Xiao Cheng 小程 for your hospitality and kindness.

This hotel is in a great location since it’s literally at the entrance of the pedestrian street. Friendly staff and we used the translator to communicate without any issues. They provided us an extraordinary service. Simple but delicious Chinese style breakfast. Highly recommend this hotel it since it has great value for the money. Would definitely stay next time

This hotel was stunning. Located in the heart of the city. Very charming, it feels like going back in time. Staff is extremely nice and helpful. Crystal at concierge was there for us all the time. Definitely recommended. Only down point: the hotel is very difficult to find. To keep a higher level of exclusivity there is not a single indication on the street. Took a while and some local help to manage.

The ancient city Pingyao and the Yundingxuan hotel blowed our mind. The hotel provide free pickup from the train station. We took the high speed train arrived at Pingyaocheng station which is around 15 minutes away from the ancient city. When you enter the city wall gate, you will be amazed of the narrow streets and cobblestone road. Picked Yundingxuan hotel because it was closed to the North gate so If the taxi was to dropped us off it’ll be a short walk but the driver dropped us off near the hotel because cars are not allowed within the main streets. The hotel is closed to 200 years old and have characteristics of the Ming and Qing dynasties. I was born in Vietnam, With roots to China but raised up in the US since I was 7 years old. I’ve seen Chinese movies but nothing will prepare you to the hotel and the ancient city. I was surprised how big the hotel complex was. All the staff were very nice, the main host spoke English, and the breakfasts were traditional Chinese breakfast. We stayed two nights and we felt safe throughout our visit. My wife and daughter appreciated the three hotel cats and all the felines throughout the city. I’m sure the other hotels are fantastic and will give your a unique experience but I can vouch for Yundingxuan. Just be prepared to get out your comfort zone but be amazed by the visual and taste of Pingyao Ancient City.
