"If I can rate this hotel more than 5 stars, I will do so. Those people are hospitality gurus, the way they treated me and my family made us all overwhelmingly happy. Every single detail was taken into consideration and exceeded my expectations. -Once in the restaurant my son was hesitant and in seconds the chef made him a special order that suits his taste. -Snacks and pizzas are so yummy. -The hotel is nice and cozy. -The views are relaxing. -Super clean Rooms, Pools and restaurants. -The main restaurant served seafood several times. However, It was never smelly and this is a plus. -Access was available to Jaz Casa Del Mar's lovely sandy beach. Words won't express my feelings when the hotel sent me a complimentary birthday cake on my birthday and another compliment was sent the next day (fruit platter, nuts and maccarons😋😋) Special thanks to reception team members (Mohamed for his close follow up on any issue, Ibrahim for his complement and Philopater for receiving us). "Couldn’t ask for a better stay! This hotel is one of my favourite hotels I have stayed in. The staff are absolutely phenomenal so friendly and so hard working, I really do admire them for their service. The room was absolutely stunning, very clean when we first came. The hotel itself is extremely beautiful with a lovely pool playing music in the day and also the lagoon that runs through the whole of El gouna. El Gouna as well is a beautiful place which is incredibly buzzy and beautiful. I couldn’t recommend this hotel more! Thank you❤️"

"En mycket stor nöjespark, mestadels bebodd av ryssar. Restaurangen är stor, men utbudet är begränsat. Maten är rysk och det är svårt att hitta sittplatser. Mitt rum hade en mycket nyrenoverad lukt. Jag fick ett äldre rum istället. De gav mig gratis frukt på rummet och sen utcheckning, men jag fick ingen återbetalning för prisskillnaden. De flesta rummen vetter, strikt taget, mot en artificiell havsutsikt, en T-formad struktur med Röda havet på en horisontell linje och en vertikal linje på vardera sidan. Jag ser arga gäster nästan varje dag i receptionen. Jag förstår inte varför den vanliga personalen i receptionen inte kan hantera en enkel incheckning, utan kräver en chef, som ofta jonglerar med flera uppgifter och ständigt är i telefon. Min incheckning tog över 40 minuter från början till att jag fick rumskortet, trots att jag hade en reservation."

"The Solymar beach resort is not the most expensive resort in the Hurghada/Safaga area, but it’s also not the cheapest. Because of this, we were expecting it to be quite middle-of-the-range in terms of quality. At every turn, we were pleasantly surprised and delighted. The staff were friendly and courteous - whether at the reception, in the restaurant, or walking past someone watering the grass, you are guaranteed a friendly greeting. Everyone is quick to know their customers - after just a day in our usual spot on the beach, Ahmed knew our usual order. The hyper-energetic Magic Entertainment team members were also quick to build rapport and make us feel included in the resort vibes. We plunged immediately into extreme relaxation with a “honeymoon massage” at the spa, which included time in the dry and steam saunas, a special hammam exfoliation ritual on a heated marble slab, a full-body Dead Sea mud wrap, and an oil massage. The masseuses were talkative and playful - possibly not to everyone’s taste, but this seems to be the Egyptian way and certainly got me smiling and giggling along. There is not a moment of the day when you might be at risk of going hungry. From the early breakfast in the main restaurant, to the late breakfast at the beach, to the drinks and snacks on offer throughout the day at the pool bar and restaurant, there is always a wide array of quality F&B choices. There is some variation from day -to-day options, and it’s always worth checking out the “fresh-from-the-grill” area to see what the day’s speciality may be. Part of the stay includes one complementary meal at one of the two a la carte restaurants (Italian/Egyptian) where the food is a level or two up from what’s served in the buffets. Go hungry - the Egyptian meal included a starter of hot and cold mezze, a soup, a main course and a dessert (with alternative plant-based and kiddies’ menus). The resort has done a lot to ensure that it is eco friendly. Apart from the usual request to hang up towels to save water on unnecessary cleaning, they also purify their own water, which is left in your room in chilled glass bottles (it tastes a little weird, but it’s good for the planet). Overall, highly recommend the Solymar resort."

"Detta all inclusive-hotell erbjuder utmärkt värde och ett fantastiskt läge. Det är bara en kort 10-minuters taxiresa från piren och Carrefour. Den fyra våningar höga Cleopatra Bazar ligger några minuters promenad bort, och det finns många souvenirbutiker i närheten av hotellet. Mat, dryck och snacks är rikligt och varierat, med mat och dryck tillgängligt de flesta dagar. Det finns en privat strand, flera pooler och till och med små band som uppträder på kvällarna. Servicen är utmärkt. Under våra två nätter var personalen, mestadels europeisk och amerikansk, mycket vänlig och kände sig inte diskriminerade. Rummets bekvämligheter var kompletta (förutom bristen på tandkräm, tandborste och plasttofflor). Vi fick en stor flaska mineralvatten varje dag, och det fanns varmvatten tillgängligt dygnet runt. Receptionen var mycket hjälpsam. Efter utcheckning stannade vi i lobbyn till 15:00 innan vi tog en taxi till flygplatsen. Under den tiden använde en receptionist sitt WhatsApp-konto för att ladda ner foton och videor som tagits av glasbåtsfotografen åt mig (jag hade redan betalat när jag gick iland, men WhatsApp fungerade inte på min telefon). Trots att vi redan hade checkat ut bjöd receptionisten oss ändå till restaurangen för en buffémåltid och tog inte av oss våra armband förrän vi var utanför hotellet och skulle ta en taxi. Sammantaget är detta ett hotell som lämpar sig för att ligga ner på när man kommer till Hurghada."
