Beaufort offers many different activities year round such as: festivals, fishing, boating, local seafood cuisine, Port Royal Farmers Market, history museums, outdoor events, and much more! The town of Port Royal is less than a 5 minute ride from the home as well and offers a public beach that we call "Sands Beach." Hunting Island State Park and Beach (a must do!) is a 20 minute ride from our cottage. There is a beach pass provided at no cost (however if this is lost or not returned there is a charge of $125.00 ). All these activities and dining options are right around the corner from Water's Edge Cottage! It is a 5-minute walk to some great restaurant options here on Ladys Island, and a short walk over the quaint swing bridge to all that downtown Beaufort has to offer. Q’s Chicken BBQ Shack offers a more casual dining experience. The Fillin’ Station, a quirky local watering hole has an outside deck overlooking Factory Creek offering a casual menu. It was built in the late 1800s after the recent "unpleasantness". This cottage is so cheerful and has such a sweet spirit, a bad mood will disappear very quickly.
