Rosemary Cottage is the best kept secret because you are in the heart of Hamilton which is a small town that is 5 miles to Callaway Gardens. This 1901 house has updated heat, air conditioning, and hot water.This home is 2,700 square feet and our families love all the room. Rosemary Cottage is walking distance to shops and restaurants in Hamilton, Ga. We also have the Man O' War trail directly in front of the home. This is an 18 mile recreational trail that goes from Hamilton to Pine Mountain. We are 25 minutes from Ft. Moore and a great get away for Military families to enjoy their time off. Our guest have LOVED this location because they can get to Columbus , Pine Mountain, Lagrange, and Warm Springs because we are centrally located and just a 10 to 25 min drive to everything. About the home: Rosemary Cottage was built in 1901 in the heart of Hamilton Georgia.The home has been completely updated so you can enjoy the charm with modern comforts. This home sits on a half acre lot and you will feel like you are in a private oasis surrounded by magnolia trees and beautiful gardens. This 2,700 sq ft cottage is charming and the moment you walk in you will feel like you are back in the 1900's. My husband and I made sure each piece of furniture fit the time frame of the home. Rosemary Cottage is a ranch style home with 13 feet ceiling and large molding through out the home. This home has four bed rooms and 2 full bathrooms. We have a beautiful garden/sunroom where you will want to cuddle up and read a book. Our guest favorite area of the home has been the porches. They love to sip on their morning coffee and take in each of the three large southern porches. We want you to let Rosemarys home melt all the worry away and enjoy a relaxing vacation that feels like you have step back in time when life was simple. When you arrive you will be greeted with snacks, cold water, and a bottle of wine in the fridge. We also have a lovely coffee bar that will help you unwind while enjoying a book under beautiful large trees. Why are we different that most VRBOs? Our family used to visit Pine Mountain three time a year and we have tried many VRBOs in the area and we always had to bring the Keurig and several items to make the VRBO have the comforts of our home. We have gone above and be on to make sure you have almost everything that you need to feel nestled in and able to enjoy your trip. We have shampoo, conditioner, bath soap, hand soap, dish soap, and laundry detergent. Our beds are brand new and have 2 layers of blanket to make sure that you can be commutable no matter what the season is. Each guest will get 2 pillows with chocolates on their beds when the arrive. The 2 queen rooms and king room come with robes. YES ROBES!!! (We want you to feel like you are at home.) If you like to cook we have a FULL stock kitchen for you. There is nothing worse then getting ready to cook in a VRBO that does not have what you need to cook with. We even have china, silver, and nice glasses to celebrate you finest celebrations. We hope that you make many memories in this home and look forward to visiting often. There is a coffee bar with a Keurig, creamer, sugars, coffee, and tea included. Welcome to the South were we want you to feel welcome into Rosemarys home. We have a large washer and dryer, hair dryers in each bathroom, board games, cards, puzzles and great books to read. We even have small coolers, picnic basket, and picnic table cloth ready to go for you. You are surrounded by beauty and you should slow down and enjoy a picnic in the surrounding areas. In the evening enjoy a fire pit with s'mores and a glass of wine in our gorgeous back yard. We even have umbrellas to keep you dry on your walk to the ice cream shop.Dogs: Dogs are welcome to our home. Lightning Hill is a spacious 6000 square foot estate sitting on 13 acres of private land. This home offers plenty of land to spread out and enjoy nature. The home features 4 bedrooms, large living room with wet bar, spacious kitchen, 2 bonus rooms for family entertainment, pool, hot tub, 4 sofa beds, and so much more. Located 10 miles from Columbus, 24 miles from Fort Benning, and 26 miles to Callaway Gardens.The home will accommodate 16 people comfortably. If approved, we will allow additional guests at a cost of $20.00 per night per person which will be charged after booking.Lightning hill is a great place to relax while visiting, Columbus, Fort Benning, Pine Mountain or any of the surrounding attractions. The home features, 4 Bedrooms each with their own bathroom and walk-in closet, 2 spacious living rooms, an office, large kitchen, a library/sitting room, 4 sofabeds, wet bar, very large laundry room, two porches (one open to the air where you can watch hummingbirds feed, and another screened in with a usable fireplace. The grounds are equally spacious. The front yard is very large, and the backyard features two fire pits, pool, hot tub, and gazebo with dining table and chairs. There is a creek that runs around the property at the bottom of the hill.Three of the bedrooms feature king beds, the other bedroom contains two queen beds. There are three Queen sofa beds in private spaces to include the office, art room, and 2nd living room.Guests will have access the entire property with the exception of the workshop about 500 feet away from the home. Just behind the home is a pool, hot tub, and a cabana with table and chairs for eating or socializing or just getting out of the sun while enjoying the pool.The estate is very large and maintenance to the grounds and pool are completed on a regular basis. The maintenance team will largely go unnoticed. The maintenance and landscaping crew keep mostly to the workshop down the drive path. The workshop is out of view of the home.The home has a gated entrance and only you and your guests and our maintenance staff will have access.
