Located on beautiful Brashears Creek in the heart of Bourbon Country, this loft style cedar cabin makes a great central location to visit some local distilleries and wineries. It is also a great place to stay for anyone who might be in the area for a horse show or interested in antique shopping along Shelbyville's historical Main Street. My personal favorite thing to do at the cabin is enjoy the creek. We love to canoe, kayak or even just float on a raft depending on the conditions.FAQ: The Ripple InnHi there! We know how excited you must be for your upcoming getaway so we wanted to try and make it as smooth and easy as possible. Here are some popular questions we have been asked in the past. Please feel free to reach out for additional questions. CAN I CHECK IN EARLY?We do our very best to make sure the cabin is ready for our next guests. If you need a check-in earlier than 4pm, there will be a $50 fee. DETAILSThere is a Hot Tub......To ensure the safety of you and other guests, please follow the hot tub rules posted. DO NOT leave children unattended in or near the hot tub. Hot tub is cleaned, treated, and checked for proper functionality before every arrival. If any abuse requiring draining of the hot tub is discovered when a guest departs, we will collect your security deposit to cover the expense of additional labor, supplies, and water for a process that takes up to five hours to drain, clean, refill, and reheat for the next guest. We make every effort to keep the hot tub functional, hot and ready for each guest to enjoy. There is no guarantee that a mechanical failure can be repaired, as parts may need to be ordered. There will be no refunds or discounts due to a hot tub malfunction, and damage to the hot tubs, covers, and filters will be assessed to you.WHAT GROCERY STORES ARE THERE?There is a Walmart and Kroger in Shelbyville. You can purchase your favorite alcoholic beverage at Cox’s Spirit Shoppe, located close to the I64 exit onto SR 55. There are other locations in Shelbyville as well: Kroger Wine & Spirits, Save A Lot, and Liquor World. HOW DO I CHECK IN?Each cabin has a code to use to check in. Welcome to Four Seasons Cottage on the Bourbon Trail! This charming property is located in a peaceful vacation community, just a short walk from the seasonal pool. Featuring 2 bedrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, and cozy living room with a fireplace, this cottage is perfect for a family getaway or a couples retreat. Enjoy the large deck with a hot tub and BBQ, as well as access to nearby hiking trails and attractions. Cottage 37 sits on a ridge that overlooks the 3,050-acre Taylorsville Lake.Upon arrival guests are welcomed by a lighted walkway up to the front door. The living room with new couches and lending library is the perfect place to read a book amongst the Flicker of the propane fireplace. A vaulted ceiling ties the living room and kitchen together. In the morning the sun rises over the lake giving the kitchen table the best place to watch the sunrise over Taylorsville Lake. A hallway leads to the main bathroom and guest bedroom. The guest bedroom has a 32-inch TV, a Queen bed, and one trundle bed. The master bedroom and its atmosphere of romance has a King bed and an ensuite bathroom with a soak tub. Off the master bedroom is a large 20 by 14ft deck with a Hot Tub. From the first deck a step-down to a second 10 by 14ft deck with a conversation area and propane fire pit. The view from the deck overlooks Taylorsville Lake and the rolling hills.
