There is a boat house with deck where you can fish the day away, and plenty of indoor/outdoor games for all ages. Bring your own boat or rent one and tie up to the boat house. The neighborhood 2-mile loop is perfect for walking, running, or an evening stroll to watch the sun set over the farmland. You'll encounter deer, bunnies, and friendly neighbors out for their sunset golf cart cruises.There is an outdoor shower to rinse off. A screened porch offers outdoor seating to enjoy coffee or cocktails or simply enjoy the lake views. Make your favorite family meals in the fully stocked kitchen.We have one king bed on the main floor; two queen beds, two full and two twin beds downstairs. The living, dining, and kitchen areas are an open floor plan with plenty of space. A fire pit is available to gather around in the evenings with drinks or to roast marshmallows. This family friendly, expansive, and rustic home has 2 master suites, 2 queen cabins, and a built-in bunk room. Bring your friends, family, business partners on down because it is time for “Ahhmeetun.”The Space:This one-story property was built in the 1950s but has many upgrades for your enjoyment.There are two large suites, on the end of the house with king beds and full baths attached. One of these suites is waterfront with lake views, a handicapped friendly shower with a bench seat and a a small desk for a convenient work space if work must be done while at “Ahhmeetun”. This space is ideal for guests who love a good sunrise and the sounds of lake livin’.The other large suite is located on the back side of the house, complete with a tub and blackout shades. Perfect for the guest who likes their space or a late sleep as this room is furthest away from the main living and playing areas. Both rooms include smart TV’s, two dressers and closets with plenty of space.Off of the hallway, there are two queen cabins with built-in platform beds, as well as a closet and dresser in each. These rooms also include blackout shades and are very insulated from the living space for those who like their sleepers.These bedrooms share two hall bathrooms with our bunk room. These bathrooms have shower stalls and single sinks. This bunk room is ideal for kids, with full beds on the bottom and twin beds on the top (Twin are really just for kids- the space is tight). The bunk room twin beds are close to the ceiling and are really ideal for kids not adults. The open space is perfect for families and friend groups who are eager to spend lots of time together. If you are in the living or dining areas you can carry on a conversation with someone in the kitchen. Our dining area inside comfortably seats 8. Our outdoor table and seating is perfect for eating, games or just hanging out and comfortably seats 6-7. Our favorite location to hang out is the screened in porch and dock. Both locations have comfortable seating for 6-8 guests. If you are traveling with a larger group I recommend you bring additional folding or outdoor chairs.Renters have access to the majority of the property. There are several locked cabinets for owner use only, as well as the boathouse closet and outdoor storage shed are off limits.Stuff you can use during your stay: -We are providing two adult and two kids kayaks, and 1 paddle board available for use while you are visiting, along with a box that has some kids life jackets, floats and noodles. USE AT YOUR OWN RISK. Please help yourself. -We do have 4 additional wooden folding chairs in the laundry room for your use should you need them indoors or on the porch. - Lilly’s Bridge Boat ramp is very close to the home and less than a 10 min boat ride from the house. You can also rent boats from Tillery Boat Rental right next to Lilly’s Bridge Marina. There is also a Tillery Kayak rental company. We will have information for both of these locations in our guidebook. Other stuff to note: This property does have a septic system and it is very important that nothing other than toilet paper is flushed. Please be sure to throw away feminine products or wipes, even the ones that say they can be flushed. While our property was built in the 50’s we have added some modern features keeping our guests comfort in mind. We have a brand new Maytag Washer and dryer, along with a new refrigerator and recently installed an instant water heater. -We do have some original features in the home, the Jenn Air stove is very old but has been very reliable for us. Please let us know if you have any issues with any features or appliances in the property, we will do everything we can to address it in a timely manner. -We are dog lovers and are a dog friendly rental. We have a $200 pet fee if you are bringing pets. We do have a max of 2 dogs unless approved for additional pets for your stay by the owners. We will charge an additional $100 for any additional dogs after the first 2. This beautiful lakefront property is located just outside the town of Norwood on gorgeous Lake Tillery and beside Piney Point Golf Course. This amazing property is a perfect fit for a couple looking to get away or two families looking for a fun and fulfilling vacation. Outside is a beautiful spacious lawn that will allow everyone to run and play a variety of outdoor games. By the edge of the lawn is our dock fitted with Adirondack chairs, a swing, and water trampoline. Closer to the house is a sheltered sitting area as well as a five person hot tub/spa that is enjoyable for all times of the year. You will notice that our tritoon boat is in dock and while we do not rent this out to guests there is the possibility of boating excursions offered by the owner. Rates will vary depending upon request but we will gladly take guests for something as simple as an enjoyable boat ride to water tubing.Inside is a cozy and large sitting area near the smart TV on the wall. We have spectrum cable for legacy TV and the ability to log on to your favorite apps. Besides the comfy couches is a fun interchangeable ping pong/pool table for excitement and competition. For dining we have a spacious kitchen area for those who enjoy to cook as well as two sitting areas to accommodate large and small groups.For sleeping we have two large bedrooms with king size beds, the main bathroom is connected to a spacious bathroom with walk in shower and the secondary bedroom is beside a bathroom with walk in shower also. Above the secondary bedroom is a loft with one bunk bed, three double beds and one futon to accommodate those parties with more people.Lastly, our lake house is close to many dining venues as well as outdoor attractions. For golfers Piney Point Golf Course is just down the street from the location and this course is open to the public. A few miles away are restaurants in Norwood, Mt. Gilead and Albemarle. If you enjoy a beautiful view while sipping local wine, Stony Mountain Vineyards is open to the public with gorgeous views of Lake Tillery and the Uwharrie Mountains.
