"What can I say about this place?Simply AMAZING from start to finish! Check-in was a breeze,reception ladies are very helpful, one who spoke English took care of us when check-in. I think they upgraded us since I know I didn’t book room with a TUB😍 . The room was spectacular, stunning..ambience was great overall. plenty of lighting around the room, one thing was missing was a big massive mirror to look at yourself as you want to know how you are looking. They are very attentive, kept reminding me about my afternoon tea but unfortunately didn’t get the chance to try it out. the mini bar,soft drinks were replenished everyday with Passionfruits. they very awesome nice and sweet. never ever seen yellow ones before. I communicated them through WeChat and helped me everytime whilst I was there. I needed to reserve my transportation from another hotel, they helped me to contact the hotel since I couldn’t speak Mandarin/Chinese. they will go the extra mile to help. upon check-out I was given some souvenir snacks, which was a very sweet and humble thing..thank you so much..Honestly this hotel is the best, definitely ideal location by West Street.."

"big rooms, its a new hotel and all the accessories were quite new and good. Location is around 1.5 kms from west street, not bad. In Breakfast most of the items were Chinese however Ms Li helped us a lot and went beyond her duties to provide us extra fruits and good coffee. She is really quite supportive and ensure guests have good experience of hotel. Our stay in this hotel was pretty good . Thanks"

"We had an absolutely wonderful stay and couldn’t be happier with our experience.
The service throughout the hotel was truly excellent, but we would especially like to highlight Tony, the butler. His kindness, attentiveness, and genuine care made our stay feel incredibly special. He anticipated every need with such warmth and professionalism – it’s rare to experience this level of service.
We also loved the café. The coffee was absolutely delicious and quickly became one of our favorite little rituals during the stay. It’s the perfect place to relax and enjoy the atmosphere.
The rooms are simply beautiful – elegant, spacious, and thoughtfully designed. Everything felt comfortable, calm, and very well maintained.

"Excellent hotel - location, pool and service!
On arrival the lovely lady on reception advised us the room we had booked was probably not best for a family and changed our booking to a more suitable one. The new room was excellent and this moment of great customer service really had a positive impact on us.
The hotel is in a brilliant location just on the edge of the very busy downtown/Xi Jie area, but still with plenty of restaurants, shops, ebike hire, etc. right outside the door. and only a very short walk to Xi Jie. It’s also on the river with lovely views of the river and mountains, especially from the pool area.
We loved the pool area… gorgeous setting, big enough for fun and proper swimming and a sanctuary from the hustle, bustle and heat of Yangshou. After a days exploring it was a lovely thing to come back to for all the family."

"We stayed at JiYun Resort as two guests and had the most wonderful experience. From the moment before we even arrived, the team was already attentive and thoughtful. They noted that it was my birthday and surprised us with a cake, an extra gift, and even a hand drawn card. It was incredibly kind and meant so much to us.
The front desk team was always on top of everything. They were responsive, proactive, and genuinely caring. The concierge support on WeChat was exceptional. No matter how small our question or request was, they answered quickly and clearly, which made everything feel easy and stress free for us as English speakers.
Each evening, it was such a comfort to come back to a warm meal. The food was delicious and thoughtfully prepared, and it became something we really looked forward to after long days exploring. The location is also excellent with beautiful views and easy access to the village, which made getting around simple and enjoyable.
We had to leave early in the morning and were unable to attend breakfast, but the team kindly prepared a breakfast to go for us. They also helped us arrange transportation and made sure everything was smooth. That level of care and support made us feel so looked after.
Although we did not have time to try the resort experiences, our stay was still incredibly special. We slept very well after our days in the countryside and felt completely taken care of throughout. The entire staff, including the morning security team, were warm, kind, and welcoming.
As first time visitors to a Chinese resort, we were a bit nervous, but the team made everything seamless. They helped us with communication even before the stay, provided rain gear when needed, and gave helpful advice on where to go. Their care and attention truly made this experience unforgettable.
This stay made us fall in love with the region, and we would absolutely return. Thank you to the entire JiYun team for such a beautiful and thoughtful experience."

"Overall, the front desk staff service was excellent. Most of those we spoke to were helpful and professional. However, there was this one person whom I would like to highlight in the hopes that he can be better trained. One of the front staff, a young man with curly hair, kept singing when he pushed our luggages and he also sang a bit while at the counter. This is actually very unprofessional because the front desk staff represents the hotel to a certain extent. He was also quite unhelpful when we asked him questions as he would give a one liner statement and go back to doing whatever he was doing. The other staff at the counter had to step in to answer to our questions.
In terms of cleanliness and view, it was quite good. The view in particular from our windows was amazing and had a very peaceful vibe; you can see the surrounding mountains and the ambience of the room added on to the quality."

Outstanding boutique hotel situated in the most beautiful spot by the Yulong River with breathtaking views in all four directions! We like how the style of the hotel reflects and complements the natural beauty of the area. There are abundant amenities and plenty of activities to pursue just around the property. It’s perfect for people who want to enjoy the beautiful pristine Shanshui of Guilin uninterrupted.
We travelled with our extended family of 7 and everybody had a great time (especially our 2yo). The hotel is very kids friendly and the staff are wonderful. The swimming pool is immaculate and well equipped. We were also happily surprised by the quality of the food provided at the hotel. The ingredients were local and super fresh and the beer fish was very tasty. We ended up eating most of our lunches and dinners at the hotel.
The room itself is gorgeous. We woke up everyday bathing in the morning sun with unobstructed views of the breathtaking Shanshui along the Yulong river! If you wake up early and go to the top floor, you will be rewarded with a special bonus!
We are already looking forward to our next trip to Yangshuo and Xishi Jinshe!

Our stay at Sooan was one of the most memorable hotel experiences we’ve had anywhere in the world.
As foreigners traveling through Yangshuo, we felt incredibly welcomed by the entire team. A special thank you to our butler Xiao Hui, who took wonderful care of us throughout our stay. He helped arrange transportation to nearby sights, answered all of our questions, and always made sure we were comfortable. His kindness and attentiveness truly made a difference.
We travel often and usually stay at five-star hotels, but this boutique property offered a level of warmth and personalized service that often surpasses larger luxury hotels. Sooan feels like a true retreat — quiet, intimate, and beautifully designed.
Some of the things we loved most:
• Waking up to the dramatic karst mountain scenery through floor-to-ceiling windows.
• Being away from crowded tourist areas while still surrounded by incredible nature.
• Walking directly from the property into yellow flower fields with paths leading to the riverside.
• Having river rafting just a short walk away.
• Spending time at the small ranch feeding the deer and pony.
• The genuine friendliness of both the hotel staff and the local community.
The architecture and interiors are stunning — a thoughtful blend of modern design and natural elements that fits perfectly with the landscape.
If you are looking for quiet luxury, beautiful surroundings, and warm, attentive service, Sooan is a perfect place to stay. We are very grateful to Xiao Hui and the entire team for making our visit so special.
Tip: If you require a restaurant onsite, please double check with the hotel first, as it was not open during our March visit. They only served breakfast and light snack daily.

Detta är ett exceptionellt boutiquehotell med bara 9 rum, i en utmärkt plats för alla Yulong River aktiviteter, men verkligen tyst och fäst från publiken.
Vår suite var öppen plan men mycket stor och vackert dekorerad.Vi uppskattade särskilt de höga tak, fönsterväggen och stor terrass med stor utsikt.
Tjänsten var utmärkt och personlig.Ett speciellt skrik till Easter, som talar utmärkt engelska och gav oss mycket bra råd om hur vi ska organisera vår fridag. Hon skapade också en WeChat-grupp så att vi lätt kunde kommunicera med hela personalgruppen; alla frågor/förfrågningar vi hade svarat nästan omedelbart.
De offentliga faciliteterna var något begränsade med tanke på fastighetens storlek, men de är också mycket attraktiva.Det finns en stor oändlighetspool längs floden och vi njöt verkligen av måltider vi hade på plats (2 frukost, en middag och eftermiddagste).
Vi skulle verkligen ha velat förlänga vår vistelse med en natt bara för att kyla ut på fastigheten, det är hur speciellt denna plats är.

My partner and I recently had the privilege of staying at the Yangshuo Jora Hotel in Guilin, and it was nothing short of spectacular. The service here is truly deserving of its five-star rating—prompt, attentive, and always eager to help. Every inquiry was answered swiftly, and the staff recommended some fantastic local spots to visit, enhancing our travel experience.
The room exceeded all expectations, especially the cleanliness which was remarkable. The bathtub, strategically placed by a large window, was so immaculately clean it appeared brand new, adding a luxurious touch to our stay. Soaking in the tub while enjoying the breathtaking mountain views was a truly unique and relaxing experience. The room itself was quiet and cozy, providing the perfect retreat after a day of exploration, with its soothing color palette and modern furnishings.
The hotel's outdoor areas were equally impressive, featuring a spacious balcony and meticulously kept gardens that invited peaceful strolls or moments of relaxation. The lush greenery and neatly designed walkways contributed to the serene atmosphere of the hotel.
What sets the Yangshuo Jora Hotel apart is its commitment to excellence in every aspect, surpassing many other five-star hotels we’ve visited in terms of service and comfort. We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this hotel. Everything exceeded our expectations from the very first moment. The view was simply breathtaking — the panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows across three large sections were truly something special and unforgettable.
We spent an amazing time here with my wife, enjoying the calm atmosphere and the beautiful design of the room. The bathtub was fantastic, perfect for relaxing, and the projector added a really cozy, cinematic touch to our evenings.
The combination of comfort, style, and that incredible panoramic view made our stay truly memorable. We felt relaxed, happy, and fully enjoyed every moment. Highly recommended — we would love to come back again!

Vackert ställe, hotellets största grästrädgård som vi sett på länge, servicen var också bra, många aktiviteter för barn. Maten var dock medioker, och de kunde ha gjort mycket mer med trädgården, djuren, nyårsfirandet.

This is our 3rd visit to Yangshuo and our first time to try this hotel.
The staff are amazing. Attentive and customer focused. From before we arrived they were already keeping in touch with us to ensure we could get to them smoothly. On arrival they put a lot of effort into ensuring we had all the help we needed and knew all the local an activities and attractions. Day by day they kept us updated with events.
The hotel offers free shuttle between Yangshuo walking streets and their establishment which is very convenient. You must book in advance.
There are activities every afternoon engaging art and craft for both kids and adults. Very fun.
From 9pm there are free noodles served in the main dining area. Many guests enjoy this and take advantage. Definitely a great addition since you cannot get deliveries being this far away from town.
The room we booked was the 2 bedroom cloud residence. An amazing room.This is incredibly big and spacious with a king bed in the main living room area shielded off by a curtain where one of our kids slept. The main bedroom is massive and has the circular bed in the middle. A rollaway double bed was also setup in here for our little one and this worked out fine.
There is an outdoor patio with a staircase that goes up to the roof with 360° panoramic views of the area - you cannot beat this view in other hotels nearby.
We found the room was very cold at night as the central heating was only blowing cold air. So we turned it off and it was slightly more bearable. I would have given 5 starts if the heating worked better. Apart from this the Julong Town Resort Hotel is amazing. Giving a better service and attention level than many of this big name establishments.

We chose the Superhouse by the Li River because we had previously stayed at a resort by the Yulong River and were looking for a bit of variety – and it definitely did not disappoint.
The property is truly impressive: a converted former factory with a spacious layout and many interesting buildings. It’s a highlight in itself, especially if you are interested in architecture and design.
The view of the Li River is fantastic, and the pool is great as well – although it is not heated, so you need to be a bit brave in spring.
The rooms are exceptional, with high-quality materials and a strong focus on design and detail – truly impressive.
One small downside was the bar: even when it wasn’t very busy, the music was quite loud, even in the late afternoon. The drink selection was somewhat limited, and it seemed that the bartender was not extensively trained – but these are minor points.
Dinner, on the other hand, was excellent – very high quality and absolutely enjoyable. The next morning, breakfast was also outstanding, with a great selection and excellent quality – nothing was missing.
Overall, it was a great experience and definitely worth recommending. The location is a bit remote, which adds to the peaceful atmosphere, but it also means you’ll usually need a Didi to reach other restaurants. However, that’s easy and inexpensive in China.
A must-stop.

We had a great stay at TUI Blue Xiangheli Hotel in Yangshuo and would highly recommend it, especially for travelers looking for a modern, design-forward hotel experience in the area. The rooms were a standout—extremely clean, thoughtfully designed, and very modern with a high-end feel. Everything felt new and well-maintained, which made it easy to settle in right away.
Service was equally strong. The staff was consistently friendly, attentive, and genuinely helpful throughout the stay, which made a noticeable difference in the overall experience.
The breakfast buffet exceeded expectations. There was a wide selection of both Chinese and Western options, and the quality, presentation, and variety were all impressive. It felt well-curated rather than generic, which you don’t always get with hotel buffets.
One of the most unique aspects of the property is its amenities. The hotel offers a range of experiences you don’t typically see—spaces for calligraphy, a rock climbing area, and even an on-site cave to explore. It adds a layer of character that makes the stay more memorable.
Design-wise, the hotel is beautifully executed. There’s a clear attention to detail across every floor, and the overall aesthetic feels intentional and cohesive. The pool and rooftop garden were highlights. Both offer incredible views overlooking Romance Park, including the iconic three-headed statue and the surrounding karst mountains, which are especially striking when lit up at night.
That said, there are a couple of things worth noting. Because the hotel is directly across from Romance Park, there is noticeable noise from the park’s performances in the early evening (roughly 5:00 PM to 7:30 PM). Additionally, there is ongoing construction on the opposite side of the hotel. While it didn’t take away from the overall experience, it may be a consideration for anyone specifically seeking a very quiet, retreat-style stay.
Overall, this is a beautifully designed, amenity-rich hotel with strong service and standout views—just go in knowing it’s in a lively area rather than a secluded one.

Location was excellent. Easy 10-15min walk to the West Street area and short 10min drive to Ten Mile Gallery. It's a few blocks from the main road so much quieter. The room and facilities were very clean. The view from the sky deck was beautiful. Electric scooters can be rented downstairs. Breakfast was ok.
