"Bra läge och fin miljö. Den här gången bodde jag i Sunrise Wing, vilket kändes bekvämare än Sunset-sidan. Båda sidorna ligger dock nära varandra. Servicen håller femstjärnig klass. Frukosten var okej, men tillräcklig. Rummet städades regelbundet. Att duscha var krångligt, verkligen krångligt, då vattentrycket var för dåligt. Det här kan nog bara åtgärdas med en renovering! När det kommer till Railay Beach: Man kan bada i havet, vattnet är fint när det är soligt och utsikten är förstklassig. På stranden väster om hotellet lägger båtar till, vilket kan påverka badet något, men det är livligt och nära restauranggatan. Österut, om man följer stigen åt höger genom klipporna (vägen är lätt att gå, cirka 300 meter), finns en ren och lugn strand (se bara till att undvika ö-hoppningsturer). Om man har tur med flera soliga dagar i rad under regnperioden, blir upplevelsen riktigt bra."

"Short getaway trip, love the hospitality level, the scenery and the food in both (Thai & Italian) restaurants. There were fire show performance (Saturday night only) & live band (daily) and anarray of activities offered to residents such as yoga, muay thai, paddle boat and jungle trekking, for free! Definitely recommended!"

"Detta är en relativt stor resort med olika gröna växter utspridda över hela innergården och utomhuspoolen sägs vara den största i Asien. För dem som inte vill vara med på det roliga, är det ett bra val att ta ett dopp i poolen varje dag och njuta av solen under din semester. Det finns en strand tvärs över gatan från hotellet, och det finns inte många människor. Rumsstädningen gjordes väl och kvaliteten på madrasserna var också bra. När jag checkade in fann jag att duschmunstycket inte justerades ordentligt och vatten stänkte överallt. Jag informerade lobbypersonalen och de justerade det. Personalen är alla tålmodiga, milda och artiga. Gym, biljard, bordtennis, beachvolleyboll...allt tillgängligt! Frukosten är rik på variation. Nackdelen är att jag stannade i tre dagar totalt, och brödet och bakverken smakade inte så fräscht."

"Rummet var ungefär lika stort som det tidigare deluxe-rummet, men med ett extra badkar och en något större balkong. Det låg dock också lite längre från stranden, vilket krävde en klättring uppför några trappor. Även om sängen var en avdelad enhet kändes det inte så; den var verkligen enorm, en king size-säng! Middagsrestaurangen var verkligen oinspirerande, smaken var bara sådär, och frukosten förblev oförändrad. Sju dagar av hunger lämnade mig svältande utan aptit. Solnedgången på hotellstranden var helt fantastisk! Om du har tur kanske du till och med får syn på en lokal specialitet – en ödla – på hotelltrappan! 😂 Förresten, jag gjorde ett misstag i min tidigare recension: en hotelltaxi till Ao Nang Beach kostar 100 baht, och taxibilar utanför hotellet tar samma pris. Om du hyr en motorcykel, sväng vänster vid hotellentrén och åk uppför en nationalpark, men ingången stänger klockan 14.00. Naturälskare kan utforska om de vill."

"The facility was great and it was beautiful and it did offer a number of amenities but I will be honest the service wasn’t the greatest. I felt as if as a paying customer I was constantly being treated like I was a burden for asking for things like “extending my say” I don’t want to generalize and say it was all the workers there was a man named “Chan” who had a very passive aggressive attitude with me and other people there. I understand that it’s a 5 star resort and it is on the pricier side but it constantly felt like they were also trying to capitalize on the necessities you’ll need because it is on an isolated island. (Word of advice go to the local village for things like pharmacy needs, cosmetic and booking boats and excursions it’s 10 times cheaper.) At the resort they will do things like charge nearly 30$ for a bottle of sunscreen at the gift shop because they know you’ll need it. Going back to this I tried to extend my stay with them and Chan told me I was going to have to pay double the original price if I wanted to stay another night I quickly went online and saw that it was half the price that he quoted and just immediately felt quite put off and like he was doing whatever possible to milk us financially when we are already being generous and willing customers. I was in a group of four people and everyone in my group had stomach issues after eating at the breakfast buffet so that was a problem as well. We were also not told that on the resort is a mosque and you will be woken up to the call of prayer frequently. I have no problem with people exercising there religious traditions I would just like a forewarning about being woken at 5AM to hear the it."

"I stayed at Varana Hotel for three nights on my solo birthday trip, and it was truly a memorable experience. The hotel is new, spotlessly clean, and fully equipped with all the amenities you could need for a comfortable stay. On my first day, I tried the NAAM hydrotherapy, and it was the perfect way to unwind after a long drive—so relaxing and calming. The staff were great at explaining each step, which made the experience even more enjoyable. I also had an aromatherapy massage, which was equally relaxing. The therapist was polite, professional, and made me feel completely at ease. The gym is brand new and impressively well-equipped, and the breakfast each morning was fantastic—both in taste and the stunning view that came with it. What made my stay truly special, though, were the people. The staff, especially those at SALA, were incredibly warm and attentive. They often stopped by to chat and offered thoughtful recommendations on activities and places to visit. As someone traveling solo for the first time, I felt so welcomed and cared for—alone, but never lonely. To top it all off, they surprised me with a birthday cake, which was such a heartwarming touch. I would absolutely come back and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a tranquil and meaningful getaway."

"Here's a short review in English based on your notes: --- This hotel is beautiful and tranquil, set in a tropical environment with many open-air areas. You need to go outside to reach the reception, restaurant, or bathroom from your room. They have done a fantastic job of combining luxury with a natural, jungle-like setting—something I've never seen before. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. Breakfast is really good. If you're looking for a more exotic nature experience, this place is ideal. However, if you prefer a more standard/business stay, it might not be the best option."

"Excellent 5star hotel. Exceptional service. Upgraded my room from beachfront villa to a 2bed room beachfront. Swimming pool was huge and a whole garden beach front for privacy. Breakfast was well thought out, international and thai cuisine. Resort is fairly large and have buggy cart to pick you up from room if require. Valet service (your own personal vehicle) is also available and hassle free. We have the option for dinner at naga kitchen(couple dining) called destination dining, which was excellent and very romantic. Food was 9/10 service 9/10 atmosphere 10/10 :) Would love to visit again, and very ideal resort for special occasion."
