Virtu on the Hill

Breath taking views, beautiful and modern hotel, spotlessly clean. Amazing and attentive staff. Slightly secluded, so would recommend hiring a car or quad, alternatively it’s a €20 taxi each way into the resort centre.

Sorry in advance for the long review, but I can’t say enough about the experience we had here. We picked Naxos for its beaches and its close proximity to other Greek Islands on our four island vacation. This fabulous experience started with communications prior to our arrival, and once we got there, the hotel was much more than we even imagined. The rooms are luxurious, and the property is immaculate. The owners live on property and they take care of the property as if was their own home…(I guess it is). It was evident they care about their guest as much as their property, because I saw the owners handling room service/issues calls themselves . Konstantia welcomed us at the front door and gave us a personal tour of the property. She spent so much time with us showing us the place, it felt like a time share presentation that you would actually enjoy. After the tour, she sent of a detailed list of recommended places to visit during our stay. She was fabulous The view from our room was as spectacular, as it overlooked the pool and sea. The owners have another property near the beach and my wife and I wanted a drink after the bar closed, and the owners drove in herself and made them for us. The drinks were amazing. While we were stunned by Santorini’s amazing views as most others, this BY FAR was the best resort experience we encountered on our 14 day trip. My wife and I would vacation on Naxos again just to stay at the Virtu on the Hill.

We stayed one week in late July. This place is simply gorgeous! The location is spectacular, on a hill overlooking Naxos Chora and its bay, offers a sweeping panorama over the Naxian hills. Superb breakfast and an excellent bar food choice throughout the day Rooms are spacious and elegant, both swimming pools are great, and the best: the staff. From the very first moment, you feel at home, welcomed. Thank you, Jenny, Dulal, and all the others for making our stay so special, and an extra thank you to the wonderful Kostandia, guardian angel of the place

We had the good fortune to stay at Virtu on the Hill in its first month of operation and it was amazing. The hotel is situated on the side of a hill with sweeping views across to the port of Naxos and the coastline. Of course everything in the hotel was new; furnishings, cushions, bed linen and poolside lounges. It feels 5 star. Our room was a large studio style with king bed, settee. large table & chairs and a good size fridge. The bathroom had a large shower and double basin vanity with modern fittings. The ocean facing windows are heat reflective and the air conditioning is effective. At the front of our room was a small patio with table & chairs and an extender line for drying towels. The service ethic of the staff is extremely high. Nothing is too much trouble and they are constantly asking whether you need anything. We found communication was the key, if you let the staff know what you are doing and what you need they can make it happen. This is important because, like the hotel, they are new and still settling- down processes and routines. The other aspect of this new property is that a few elements of the fit-out are not quite complete, eg; room safes operating but not fixed in place and some light-fittings yet to be installed, but these weren’t deal-breakers and I’m sure will be finished-off in the weeks ahead of the forthcoming peak season. We will stay there again on our next visit to Naxos.

Stunning views! Wonderful staff so helpful and kind. Brand new facility, everything is 5 star!! Rooms can sleep more than 2, but please know they are all studio style rooms. Kids beds a little small for teens. Such a beautiful facility. 2 infinity edge pools. Very nice breakfast with many options!!

We have travelled to many places over the years but never felt that we had our home away from home until we stayed at Virtu on the Hill. The accommodations were FIVE STAR. The Views were simply amazing. What made the whole stay the best ever was how we were treated. We were treated as if we were long lost friends returning from a journey. By the time we left it was hard to say goodbye. We will absolutely return.
