Friendly and helpful staff, wonderful breakfast. However the rooms looked nothing like the pictures they changed the decor of the rooms. I was offered a different option that was acceptable, however they should definitely update pictures online.

The pictures on the web site are nothing like the real experience. I believe the hotel must be in the process of modernisation as the downstairs area is looking much more chic and modern that the photos. The upstairs has been stripped of all rugs, art and decor.....The bed was however, very comfortable and the room was clean. The hotel location was perfect, close to amenities but in a pretty and quiet side road. There were no staff available in the evenings.

The hotel seems to be mid makeover, with the downstairs being close to finished (although lacking in decor everywhere, possibly due to the renovations). The rooms were spacious, the bed was comfortable, and it was very clean. The air con was a bit noisy and the toilet was broken (although usable) . The hotel staff all left at 5pm, and we had to let in a guest who had just arrived from Europe, who joined us for a beer while waiting for someone to arrive and check him in. There was no ice available on a very hot day, and we had to go and buy our own. However, the location was perfect, with easy walking access to town and the stadium where the cycling event was taking place.

The Villa Grande Guest house in Stellenbosch was very very nice! The room was amazing and also the bathroom! More than we expected! Also the employees were very kind and helpfull. The breakfast was made on order and very good. The Villa Grande is located very good! When we go to Stellenbosch, we will certainly stay here again! Pieter & Linda

We recently stayed at Grande Villa. We truly loved the experience and felt very welcomed by Claudia. She went out of her way to make sure we were looked after and even gave us an upgrade. The Villa is perfectly located.....in a quiet part of town but only a few minutes walk into some "action". The roof terrace is just so special and I enjoyed a sundowner with the stillness of autumn. No fuss and very minamilast - perfect for a night's getaway!
