Le Franschhoek Hotel & Spa by Dream Resorts

On a garden route road trip we stayed for 2 nights. Spacious room but unfortunately upstairs and my mobility isn’t good. However it was a very comfortable stay. A shuttle service to town and can recommend The French Connection restaurant. Staff at the hotel are wonderful as was my back massage at the Spa

From the warm welcome on a very wet and cold day to every touch point throughout our stay the team were efficient, helpful and full of smiles. Our room was luxurious, spacious and so quite - much appreciated as we stayed in. And then there are the gardens and views. We will be back!

Very comfortable hotel. Pleasing environment, calm, lovely bed, good breakfast, pleasant staff. Room was very spacious with great large bathroom and fab toiletries. We didn’t use the pool but it looked lovely. Couldn’t have asked for more

From the moment we booked our stay at Le Franschhoek with Vivencia, we knew we were in for a treat. Vivencia worked within our budget to get the very most out of our 3 night weekend. From the welcome desk (with a glass of complimentary bubbles) to the gentleman who helped carry our bags to the room, to the lovely ladies who serviced the room - all the staff were absolutely outstanding. The ladies also surprised us with a very romantic turndown surprise on the bed - rose petals etc. They really went to extraordinary lengths to make our visit very special. The breakfasts were out of this world - and once again, the staff who take care of this were just wonderful. We had a magnificent Fine Dining experience at the Sauvage Restaurant, where Executive Head Chef, Kyle Norris, pulled out all the stops to show off his tremendous skills. The Restaurant Manager, Holly, was such a wonderful hostess and really made our evening "off the charts" special. Chef Odette also blessed us with a few very delicious extra treats between courses. We were once again surprised when Holly presented us with a "Happy Anniversary" card, signed by all the staff at Sauvage who were involved with us. My wife was very spoilt with a few treatments at the Camelot Spa, and apparently had the "best foot massage of my life". Lovely hotel on outskirts of Franschhoek. About 20 mins issue the town but free regular shuttle service offered. We had a 2 bed villa which was very comfortable ( Wi-Fi a little sporadic away from main hotel) Nice pool ( gets busy though) and lovely verandah for breakfast and lunch. Looks like a nice restaurant but we didn’t use it. Good choice at breakfast . Lovely staff and good service The spa offers an extensive range of very reasonably priced treatments. Lovely hotel!

I'll try and keep it short. My husband died in Septembet last year, so I decided to spoil myself for Valrntines. I booked a room....then went to book dinner at the restsurant..the menu looked divine! When I got to the prepayment it stated dinner for 2 and the price. I wrote to the hotel explaining that I was on my own ( I didn't want to use the sympathy card, didnt think itwas necessary). They said they would talk to the manager....cane back with " you can have dinner at the Terrace attached is the menu"......from fois gras to pizza or a Spur style menu. When I checked in I asked again and said I don't mind where the meal is served but I want the Valentines dinner. No go....my meal was dreadful....I left the starter and main...nibbled on the cheese platter... I am still so cross.....surely a plan could have been made! I find it grossly discriminatory!! When I tried to book on the 7th there was availability. I went to the restaurant after my dreadful meal and asked for the Manager. Holly, the restaurant manager had no idea....no-one had come to her...she was appalled.... I really will not support somewhere where the management just don't care! The room was okay and the pool area was good...the gardens lovely....but lots of stairs. I booked a Spa treatment and that was great, but sorry, I won't t be back to the hotel and will spread my disgust far and wide.
