Le Franschhoek Hotel & Spa by Dream Resorts

On a garden route road trip we stayed for 2 nights. Spacious room but unfortunately upstairs and my mobility isn’t good. However it was a very comfortable stay. A shuttle service to town and can recommend The French Connection restaurant. Staff at the hotel are wonderful as was my back massage at the Spa

Room wasn’t ready when we arrived however when we got to our room, it looked like no one had been in it for months. There were no bathroom toiletries and no tea coffee or milk in the room. The handbasin tap was loose and you had to hold it steady to turn it on. The shower door had a gap and didn’t close properly so water went all over the floor. The phone was not working - all you got was static when you picked it up. One side of the bed had USB connectors which was great but there was no table to put your devices on. The fridge cable had been pulled out of the wall and we realised why when we connected it and it made a constant hum all night long. I requested a flatter pillow and nobody ever got back to me about it. From the outside the place looks fairly rundown. On the plus side breakfast was good and they run a shuttle to and from the township for you. Can highly recommend Ruben’s restaurant in town for a place to eat. As we had an early flight, we were given a breakfast box to take with us. My husband received extra items more than I did. How difficult can it be to ensure they are equal amounts in each bag? Would not recommend staying here

Thank you to the exceptional Le Franschhoek Hotel team for making our stay so memorable! From the warm welcome on a very wet and cold day to every touch point throughout our stay the team were efficient, helpful and full of smiles. Our room was luxurious, spacious and so quite - much appreciated as we stayed in. And then there are the gardens and views. We will be back!

This hotel is a great place to stay. The staff and food were lovely. Rooms spacious and in a great setting a little outside the town. They had hotel shuttle to and from the town which was great so we could enjoy the wines of the region. We on wine tram tour one of the days. Highly recommend.

From the moment we booked our stay at Le Franschhoek with Vivencia, we knew we were in for a treat. Vivencia worked within our budget to get the very most out of our 3 night weekend. From the welcome desk (with a glass of complimentary bubbles) to the gentleman who helped carry our bags to the room, to the lovely ladies who serviced the room - all the staff were absolutely outstanding. The ladies also surprised us with a very romantic turndown surprise on the bed - rose petals etc. They really went to extraordinary lengths to make our visit very special. The breakfasts were out of this world - and once again, the staff who take care of this were just wonderful. We had a magnificent Fine Dining experience at the Sauvage Restaurant, where Executive Head Chef, Kyle Norris, pulled out all the stops to show off his tremendous skills. The Restaurant Manager, Holly, was such a wonderful hostess and really made our evening "off the charts" special. Chef Odette also blessed us with a few very delicious extra treats between courses. We were once again surprised when Holly presented us with a "Happy Anniversary" card, signed by all the staff at Sauvage who were involved with us. My wife was very spoilt with a few treatments at the Camelot Spa, and apparently had the "best foot massage of my life". Fantastic stay here, the accommodation was first rate and the staff were brilliant and could not have done more. The shuttle service was fantastic made it feel as if we were in the centre of town, actually better because they went over and above by escorting us to the restaurant to confirm reservations. They also utilise a WhatsApp service which makes everything seamless from making reservations made at local restaurant to order the shuttle from town. I have no problem strongly recommending this hotel.
