Great hotel close to city centre and friendly staff, clean facilities

Honestly this place was the perfect hotel, staff were extremely friendly and helpful, the location was perfect and the hotel itself was a beautiful building. Fantastically clean and gorgeous bathroom and just as lovely bedroom I will definitely be staying here again and recommend to anyone the next time they stay in Stevenage to stay here!!

Really nice hotel. Stayed in the smallest room as I picked a single room, and was well impressed by the decor of the place. Great size room for one person, well thought decor, had a desk and a chair. Great en suite bathroom with basic toiletries, really friendly staff. Would definitely stay there again. Great location too! Thank you for your hospitality on my first time in Stevenage. Business trip!

Welcoming and friendly hotel. Clean throughout the entire hotel and rooms are cosy and comfortable. The bar / restaurant attached is stylish, modern and has plenty of room to relax and enjoy an evening meal and drinks. Free, stable and reliable WiFi and the hotel itself is situated in a great location for shops and restaurants.

Hotel Cromwell is my second home away from home when visiting my best mates in Stevenage. The charming character of the Astley Suite and the Executive Rooms never fails to impress with each every visit as these are the most quiet rooms in my opinion. The beds are the comfiest and we always sleep like a baby. The ensuite bathrooms are well-stocked with toiletries and beautifully clean. Make sure that when you book these rooms I mentioned, please consider booking it with the breakfast option - these adds a perfect touch to the experience. Great friendly staff, characterful furnishings, great value for money.

Beautiful hotel, so nicely presented with lovely rooms. The attention to detail to the rooms is a delight. Staff were very helpful and friendly and the food was lovely. The whole hotel was extremely well presented. I will definitely visit again.

My daughter and her partner had their wedding here. The weather was perfect so the ceremony was held in the garden. The staff were so friendly and welcoming. My room and the bridal suite were immaculate. Breakfast at the Rump and Wade was awesome, loads of choice from cereal to full English. The food for the reception was wonderful and all the dietary requirements were catered for.

I cannot thank the hotel or give them enough praise for letting me host my event here on Saturday 17th August. We totally transformed the Cromwell Suite into our version of Bridgerton and the hotel totally got on board with it. The team from management to the young waiters and bar staff they were polite, fun and incredibly professional nothing was no much bother even though we ran out of champagne lol Paul your were my right hand man before with the planning ,on the day you over saw everting and kept it going though out the night Megan you and your teams dinner service was fantastic you smiled all night Lily you star, your bar staff had it all under control Chefs congratulations your food was hot and delicious and all dietary needs loved theirs as well. We stayed the night the beds we comfy rooms extremely clean and breakfast was great. As a venue and hotel book your wedding or next event here. We will be back next year and I am really looking forward to it Richard and the Jennys Ball team

Staying here was unexpected due to my partners work trip being extended. However what a brilliant find this hotel was. From the moment of check in, Andrew was amazing, very informative made us feel at ease and knew all the information we required. The room was perfect. The size for the price is an absolute steal! I struggle to understand how this is only a 3* hotel. The bath and shower combination was perfect so you had choice and the checkout at midday is also perfect for when you don’t want to or have to rush out of the room; There is no air con in the rooms, but a fan is provided and the windows also open which resulted in an enjoyable, comfortable nights sleep. We chose to grab food outside of the hotel however the menu looked incredible and reasonably priced for what was on the menu. The buffet breakfast included in our price for the hotel was fresh, hot and plenty of choice as well. The restaurant staff could not have been more helpful. And also thank you to Demi on reception for her help required on the morning of checkout Parking is available behind the hotel , we had no issue with parking and again this was also included in the price along with the wifi. On the whole this was a brilliant nights stay and if you are coming to Stevenage town for any purpose , I would advise to look at old town as the shops, pubs and food choices just on the doorstep of this hotel are full of variety,
