Castle Walk B&B

So very dissapointed. We booked two nights but we found our room so discraceful we found another place to stay. The heating didn't work, the spare heater had a faulty power switch. The bathroom was dingy and the shower was faulty - boiling water for 20 seconds then blasts freezing cold water so we couldn't get showered or warmed. The ceiling leaked onto the bedding & towels so they were cold and damp. We paid in full for our two nights and demanded no re-enbursement but hope that this extra money is used to fix some of these faults so others enjoy a better stay.

My wife tried to make a booking today, contacted the host directly. Jackie the host was rude and dismissive and my wife was very disappointed she unable to make a booking. I called the host later and without hesitation told me there was no availability, I enquired about the next available date close to our enquiry and again without hesitation told me she has no availability and then hung up the phone. I really don’t understand with an attitude like that why you would be in hospitality

The location is the best thing about this B&B. It's close to restaurants and pubs. You can easily get to Stirling Castle. However, almost everything else was pretty disappointing. Checking in was not easy. We got an email with vague instructions that included a number to call or test with questions. We texted and called and never received a response. The room was not very comfortable and not particularly clean. There is a bar next door and it was VERY loud at night. You can't sleep with the windows open because of the noise and the room was very hot. (It was unseasonably warm while we were there and the room didn't have a fan so we slept with the windows open and needed earplugs to get to sleep.) If you're not spending much time in the room, the location is great.
